    yes the night shift typically is much less quite, not nearly as many management or pedestrians to worry about it, but if you have kids you won't get to see them very much working 2nd shift.

    Any other pickers find it soothing to just chill up in the air? That's where I make my boxes, write notes, or wait for orders to come in. Thought I used to be afraid of heights, turns out it's calming af

      Chill up in the air?! LOL Not in the summer! Our warehouse turns into a tin oven! You can feel the heat radiate from the sheet metal ceiling.

    I’m always excited to go on the order picker that my supervisor makes fun of me. I make sure to work like hell when replenishing the warehouse on the order picker. I normally operate the reach forklift but there’s just something about the order picker that makes time go by super fast

    Very clean warehouse, nice tight lanes for easy reach picks and better chance of not falling off on the sides .

    This must be incoming. I’m a picker too, only outgoing. Easy work, just really boring. I find a lot of people that do complain on youtube (not you), about the job, are just really lazy and are looking for reasons to complain 💯

      You're allowed to have it. My facility isn't assigning lockers to keep people from congregating in the locker area, so you bring your belongings in a clear bag that you can have on the floor.

    omg! that 3:37, I was doing inventory thingy at those heights first time for about 10 minutes or so, by god! the feeling.. it is fear of heights at it's finest, but exciting nevertheless. am just glad I was blessed to have wonderful trainers and co-workers.

    night shift is good for someone who s single and has no kids or girlfriend or social life of any kind. heck they should hire bums from the corner street with a paper cup begging for change.... Oh wait they make more then pickers do.

      Yeah I work nights and another job and still have a social life if your a single mother or father I don’t recommend it. Oh and the pay isn’t 15 in the distribution center it’s 18 to start in Oregon and we’re one of the lowest paying buildings most sites start at around 20+ an hour plus as much ot as we want most of the year. I’m Sure most beggars aren’t making 550 -900 a week after taxes

    The warehouse I use to work for was a mess.Very pack ratty vibes and unorganized.Couldent find anything and I was in inventory control so going through a that mess was hell!!

      Outside of talking to yourself or the boxes (I've done it), this is just to show daily life. Hell, there's days I'll be stuck in aisles with three other pickers and get to talk, but it's mostly silent

    Bruh I watched this video like 3 months ago and it looked easy now that I’m in there this amazon ur at is easy bro organized asf all are bins shits falling out pass thru bins but once you hit ot ig it’s worth it but why aren’t u hooked up? And you don’t get cages?

      Jassiel Quintana depends if you guys have order-pickers or some people call them cherry pickers you probably be picking in the air but if it’s on foot all day u walking about 10 miles a day

      It’s not apparently. I worked in a warehouse where they weren’t required to be worn even though forklift and order pickers were flying back and forth

      @@Elurin I guess it varies between companies. Amazon requires them as soon as u enter the building, but I've worked for target, Greenball, and O'Reilly's, and neither of them required me to wear a vest.

      I make about 17 an hour. 40-60 hours a week depending on volume.

      @@Jeff-xv6gk usually people start as pickers. Nah, I work in the shipping department both inbound and outbound. Load and unload trucks, wrap pallets, put inventory in spreadsheets. I drive stockpicker when I'm stocking the shelves. I use the sitdown counterbalance to unload, and walke rider to load. If I need to put a whole pallet on a rack I use the reach truck.

      I know I’m SUPER late but I’d figured I’d help you out... I worked at Skechers Warehouse and the reason I’m became an EO is because it’s $4 more than my regular pay... if you’re licensed on more machines you’ll probably receive more money

      You can't use those machines unless you got licenses for them. I'm going to work in a warehouse liek this, and I'm female. I can't use those machines though until I do the training for them. So I wouldn't worry about it.

      I'm certified on a EPJ, Reach truck, and a stock picker. Gender has nothing to do with what you can do at a work place.

      I got a job at a warehouse back in august and the position I hold is building assortments but I have to pick my own items to build the assortments so they had me train on the order picker. I wasn’t given a choice it was just like here’s your harness let’s start training and this is a good job with benefits so ofc I didn’t say anything against it. I learned to drive it’s easy the scary part is when I am at the aisles that are super wide and especially when I have to get the larger heavy boxes dude the gap from the platform to the shelf is scary.. sometimes I can’t get myself to grab the item and I have to go tell a guy to get it for me. Sucks but it’s just I don’t want to force myself to do something and it could lead to accident or injury.. my life not worth this job

      @@B3Band Hahahah I know right. I don't think she realises she won't be put on them unless she has the proper training for one. And females are likely never (more like not very often) on them because most women don't wanna do warehouse work anyway. It's one of those male dominated work places

      At my job there’s not a lot of females on the pickers/forklifts. But I’m on a very small shift doing graveyard. In my department there are 2 of us girls. I’ve only been on one for about 4 or 5 months. It’s a lot of hard work😂but there’s definitely females.....
