    The layering process and how you explain with color tips and other detail is excellent. Love the organic look that you get with the various brushes and the warming glaze at the end. Burnt sienna certainly warmed his already adorable little face 😄

    Thank you Cassy for taking us through the process. I teach pet portraits and have a heck of a time convincing folk not to use black. Its counter intuitive for a black dog/cat of course. Your video makes it so easy to understand 🤩🤩

      Thank-you Paul! That means so much. I always worry that my thought process doesn’t come across well in my voiceovers, so that makes me so happy! Thank-you as always for your support on my videos.

    Cassy
    I just saw your video. Wow! What an artist you are! Absolutely gorgeous painting! I have a question. You painted your background blue, but not the area where you were painting the dog. I noticed it was white. Did you paint that part white over the blue before drawing the dog, or is it the white part of the canvas that you didn't add the blue? Thank you!

    • @cassydraws
      @cassydraws  Před rokem +1

      Hi Mercy! Thank-you so much for your kind feedback. I'm glad you like my painting! :) The part that is left white on my painting is the canvas showing underneath. Typically I start with a blank canvas, sketch out my subject and then cut around it with my chosen background colour. There are some artists who will paint the entire background first, and then draw overtop; but I find it harder to see. It might be a little bit more work, but I like being able to see my white base with original sketch. I hope this helps!
