Travelin' Man - Empty Bottle String Band in Annandale, Virginia

The Empty Bottle String Band plays bluegrass and old-timey country music, straight from the Appalachian hills of their homes in northeastern Tennessee. With a mix of voices and instruments, the group brings a fresh perspective to old standards and Appalachian folk tunes. This song is "Travelin' Man," but it's not the same song by that title that was a hit for Ricky Nelson. Still, with it's lively beat and tale of a man who knew the secret to escape death, it's a charming song with an abrupt ending. It makes you wonder if that is how the man's traveling stopped -- suddenly.
