this guy's shtick is barely even caricature. I went to a music school where most students were non local. Many were european. There was a weird trend of dutch and russian people obsessed with hip hop and Drum and Bass who acted like they were a caricature of a 90's high school hang out skateboarding film. Somehow Fred Durst, Metallica, and Rastafarian combined, who spoke while pointing their finger like they were hyping. Acting like their "krew" was known and important, in this weird way. It was all over the place, and I thought "how is this possibly a thing" this guys bit was the first time I've ever seen anyone joke about it. I thought I was alone.

OMG yes! I work for my city and its the city council meetings are almost exactly like this. Except longer and not as funny. They are as dry as stale bread! lol although I didn't think this was as funny as watching parks and recreation lol
Jessica Ramirez At one meeting, a council member was hitting up everyone to buy girl scout cookies for his kid. He was not going to allow any builder to build anything unless boxes were bought. No street lights would be fixed, nothing! So, the council members are just as insane!

Bobby doesn't get enough credit for his straightman characters
People who play a good straightman are, in general, so underrated. I think if people understood that, for example, Colbert is usually playing that role on his show, then they'd find the interviews he does a lot funnier. I see so many comments like "why does he seem like he doesn't like that person, (or is "standoffish" or "prude" or whatever)" because they don't realize he's acting like he's shocked, or disapproving or whatever because it's *funny*. It's a key part of comedy to have a straightman to highlight just how absurd/funny the funnyman is, and a lot of folks don't really appreciate that.
So, to sum up, shoutout @ you for appreciating a good straightman lol.
@@rburp123 people who have that reaction are usually bad at interpreting more subdued sarcasm (as opposed to the overt Adam Sandler "so SORRY to INTERRUPT" style). They probably don't enjoy Conan, either.

Real Bakersfield resident here. I'm deeply offended by how the city is represented in this skit.
First, we do not have laser tag or a hip hop scene. We're not that cool, so cut it out!
We do close down 10 street blocks for private reasons. Just stand in the way.
The girl is deeply inaccurate. She has far too many teeth at 6 years.
I'm also pretty sure the city council meetings double as AA meetings as well.
