    I use the T2Pro and hands-down for the money you will not find a better thermal scanner out there anywhere. I use a dedicated older iPhone for the scanner. I use it for some of the reasons that you stated. I use it for quick scans of the area around me while hunting, quick scans of my path to a deer stand and quick scans of the property around my home. It’s good for finding fresh blood trails and downed animals. I have the unit connected to the phone which is connected to a grip which I hang from my neck for immediate access. In my opinion it works as well as a $1000 thermal monocular. The lens is focusable in addition to the zoom on the phone and for those that are interested you can record video with audio directly on the phone. I also do NOT get the same eye fatigue that I do when using a thermal monocular and it keeps both my eyes free to do other things since I only have to take quick glances at the screen for any activity. 100% worth the money 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Great video! Thank you so much for sharing your time and your knowledge. I've been researching IR and thermal scopes for both sport hunting and SHTF tactical purposes for about 6 months now. And just about the time I think I'm ready to buy one, I find a better one at a better price. I also happen to be poor (translate... I have a wife that spends my money very well). So I have to plan over time for a purchase such as this. Again, thanks for sharing your time with us. I look forward to many more.

    Pretty impressed how far thermal has come at this price point in 2023. I have this and the P series. The T2 definitely is vastly superior for further away stuff, inside the house the P series FOV is great but outside not so much. While the T2 is almost too zoomed in inside a house it's still usable.

    Thanks for the comparison! Looks like the T2 Pro is a winner. I wonder how it would compare to AGM 256 thermals since that would match the resolution. I also wonder if it can take some .223 recoil if mounted on a gun. They also have the newer Xinfrared XH09 which is supposed to have 50hz frames but I am not sure how it compares with the T2 Pro image quality and distance id'ing for hunting purposes. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Had a FLIR Scout TK saw this video and bought the T2 Pro. I can't believe the difference. It is by far as superior imager. If I had one small gripe, its that it would be nice to have a 1X image. It only matters when trying to use it indoors to look leaks in windows and insulation. That being said, It's still very useful. Thanks for the video and excellent review.

    I am impressed, but looking for a unit to keep in a EMP safe container. I don't have a spare smart phone to store in the safe place. This would only work for me if I had a spare phone to keep EMP safe with the optics. I wouldn't want the light of the phone giving away my position for home protection. My eyes would have to readjust to darkness as well. Maybe close one eye while looking at the screen in that case.

    In case anyone is wondering, the T2S+ from Infiray has a bit of a wider angle, but a bit less range, and is a bit more affordable. Infiray has some of the best thermal optics on the market in my opinion, and now i think im going to try out the T2 pro as well! Thanks for the great video!

    • @mrdojob
      @mrdojob Před 2 měsíci +1

      @nudibanches it's about the best you can possibly get from a thermal of such tiny size. They well optimised every single component and got as much as they could out of it.
      Doesn't get any better than being able to see people from 600 meters away in pitch blackness with a camera that's that's size of an ice cube and requires no batteries.
      It's part of my essential night carry now and complements my Rovyvon pocket flashlight very well.
      People will compare this to full size 384 and 640 thermals and will immediately criticise it while failing to realise it's intentionally trading off half the resolution to be 10 times smaller and more likely to be immediately avaliable when needed. This beats any $4000 high resolution thermal that you forgot to charge or one that's left at home because it was too big to carry on that particular night when you needed it.
