Shin didn't care about the competition whether he was gonna win or not but he had a big heart in helping a fellow magician and for that he has earned my respect
It's a perfect example of two people doing the same thing and being at the top of their trade, but instead of having an unhealthy animosity toward each other, they collaborate to make something even more amazing. It's a perfect example about how the society should be.
Shin Lim is super humble and so laid back. I appreciate his personality and how he doesn't use his accidents as sob stories to get sympathy from anyone. It is pure skill and showmanship.
Marc Pearlman is a great magician also. I really he would win some shows he's on because he is also a talented magician of different style.

Shin Lim entered so humbly, revealed himself so gracefully, and went away leaving Marc Spelmann on the stage. He didn't take any extra footage or build up or camera time of his presence there. He just walked away without grabbing any extra attention. Such an amazing man!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what I love about magic, pure entertainment. The moment Shin Lim is revealed, just sent joy through the audience and to the viewer. This is what TV entertainment is all about and AGT does it so well. Never mind how it's done, the magic was wonderful. I could see the switch when Shin Lim took over before his reveal, but it didn't matter. Just golden entertainment.

Think about it though: Simon is executive producer of this show, which means he has final say on guest appearances since those appearance fees have to be negotiated and accounted for. The fact that he was genuinely surprised means Shin did not ask for a fee for appearing on the show despite his showing obviously making the episode ratings gold. I think at least part of Simon's surprise is from Shin doing this without asking to be compensated.
He very well could have for free but Im pretty sure production team could authorise fees or even pay later.
Why would he ask Simon for fee when the deal was with him and Marc lol 😂 if there's any fee which I don't think there was, Marc is the one paying

Freaking unbelievable!!! These 2 guy's need their very own act. Imagine how amazing they could be if they worked together all the time. I absolutely LOVE insane twists and we usually only see big twists like this in movie's. To see this twist during a competition as huge as this one is... Was absolutely amazing!!! Huge props for them both!!

None of us realized the switch until we rewatched it so YES it still was a great act! A great surprise!
Funny thing is, they didn't really need the switch. Shin Lim could have stood there from the beginning doing everything. They're roughly the same height and built, he didn't speak, he wore a mask, nobody would have known that's not spellman....
Creatip the point is they saw him put on his mask then start the performance and say anyone could be x then at the end he pulls off the mask and bam shin lim that the act since we knew it was him to start although it seems pretty obvious they switched when he turned the board around by going behind it

They switched when Marc turned the chart. I watched it many times. Marc entered & Shin appeared on the other side, caught a bit unprepared & the the body physique changed.

It's pretty clear how they did it. If 'X' decides to spin the seethrough panel you see the first 'X' putting his hand on the right side and moving towards the back of the panel to spin the panel. At that exact moment, 'X' number two is already behind the panel. You see the hand of the first 'X' moving of the panel and see a new hand grab the panel slightly above the place where the first 'X' had put his hand. At this moment, the two 'X's' had switched. You can see it clearly at 3:59 . Prove me wrong

Marc Spelmann is my favorite act of all time in the whole "Got Talent" franchise, to this day it still pains me how he didn't win in all the shows he's been on.
He is great and epic, but he just can't win. Unless by some chance he's not pitted up again some super emotional act, or old talented person... Audiences vote will definitely gravitate towards the openly emotional one.

I love it how Marc Spellman and Shin Lim worked together on this performance. In my experience, this sort of cooperation almost always leads to better tricks and here it obviously did, because the judges and the audience were blown away by it.

Max Gooding that doesn’t mean much. Look at that Australian guy with the beer, his magic was entry level at best and he went far. This guy is definitely not entry level magic but it’s not great. Anyone who enjoys watching magic would see through his tricks in a second.
@@phillyrepo8927 There are some mentalist/magicians that are enjoyable to watch. Remember Mike Super from an earlier season? I was always eager to see what his next act was but he got criticized pretty bad by one of the judges. Nicholas Wallace was great also, but the act that got him cut last season was a little boring.
