Pakistan's government went on a borrowing spree recently. It picked up 3.2 Trillion Pakistani rupees from local banks over the course of just 45 days. Pakistan was borrowing about a quarter billion dollars a day on average. The new mountain of debt was hidden with accounting tricks. Pakistani citizens will be paying off this new debt for years to come.

Pkr is stable at 280 since last 19 months, 9% per capita increase in one year in dollars term , -0.4% to +2.4 % gdp growth in one year ,225% increase in state bank reserves in 18 months (2.8 to 9.1 billion) , import decrease by 1% , exports increase by 10% and trade deficit decrease by 31% in FY24 , compared to last year
