  • So last time I was doing the oil change on Mindy's Civic, I noticed a pretty good oil leak on the back of the head. After doing some research, everyone online said these engines always leak from the VTEC solenoid. Of course thats where it was. I got the part and 30 minutes later, leak fixed.

Great job this is the first time I've seen it done without removing the extra parts like the cowl great job man 💯🙏

Don't forget to replace the PCV VALVE, that leak is a symptom of a stuck PCV. valve

Yeah, honestly in some cases you don’t need to but it’s best to do it since there’s a lot more room when you remove the solenoid to replace the gasket. 👍

Your a newb it's always this part an this part only never seen it be a Pcv value! It's the gasket quit mudding up the logic to a simple repair!

@JayPlays792 newb? What's that? Well then, don't change it. As an old school mechanic I have been building cars since the 70s. That's about 30 years before you were an itch in your dad's shorts. Try the simple things first, and you may be surprised.. my advice? Move out of your mom's basement, delete WOW from your computer. That ego will shrink as soon as you dry up behind your ears.

@@GgRae-gv1tg I knew you were a mechanic by your response what I'm saying is if it's not broke don't fix it ! I did my first transmission at 16 no help have done drive shafts brakes etc since! If a 8 dollar gaskets fixes this issue why add to it if the Pcv needs done in sure we will figure that out! You probably would take the cowl off an charge extra to a 30 minute job is my point! I don't like machinics at all they always stick it to us when they can save everyone a buck or two! I bet this man never changed his Pcv value and doing fine!!! 😂

It seems likes it's a common leak on all Hondas
