I've been know to snag walk behind mowers off tree lawns on trash day. I do an immediate oil change with a few oz of MMO. Then I'll cut the grass for about an hour, and drain the oil again. Amazing how the MMO will clean the crud out of the old engine. Never had an engine related problem, even with discarded mowers.
Who knows what's in it? Kerosene, wd40? I don't know but it works.
😂
Thank you I watched your video to make sure I didn't put it in wrong. 😆
Thank you for this video.
Thank u gang
If you’re only driving in the warm weather; 20W-50 would be the best for just about engine. The only reason newer cars use thinner oils to get a few more HP and increase MPG to satisfy their EPA requirements.
I was less shocked by 20w50 in the engine as I was the statement "20w50 goes in everything."
Thanks cuz ny allen key keeps spinning and I have to dig in the sudes
Mines show the check engine when the car is off but when I turn it on don’t show it no more so idk
91% works perfectly fine.

No problem. Smash that like and subscribe button while you're here
Anybody know what to do when you fuck this up, and the brake is stuck on? Remove the unit again and make sure it’s all the way clockwise? 😅
That's what I would do. You could always hook it back up, push the button to release it in the car and see if that helps.
@@Mylifeinthepits it worked! This comment section is now the only place on the internet to confirm that fix

Mine looks different; not the same set up. I can't find the damn purge valve. At least not one that looks like the one on your car.
You got the turbo one
You're a life saver! I've never replaced pads on a vehicle newer than 2008. Never dealt with an E-park brake! I was so confused why I couldn't get the calipers to compress. THANK YOU

Bro that’s called the mo pawah mode
You're missing a trim bezel that goes on the front and sides of the engine cover. Maybe you took it off on purpose? Thanks for the video, just did mine, 2015 Q50 3.7.
I took the engine cover off. It was rubbing on my strut brace.
You didn't prefill your oil filter shame on you boys.
Ya, I got the 3.78L jug once and drained my car oil. I realized I drained out 5.2 quarts and didn't have enough to go back in So I had to overnight another jug of oil so I could drive to work. I'd rather have more than I need than not enough. I would think it's very situational of the engine size?
If your car takes 6 quarts, this would be great.
It's added to engine oil 300/500 miles before next oil change, Right!
I add mine and run the whole 5k miles with it.
You installed that clear bushing in the wrong order. 3:41 The order goes silver collar> clear plastic bushing> yellow collar>new clear plastic bushing> wave washer> silver flat collar> then bolts. That’s why you had to bonk it to properly seat and even then it’s probably binding and causing resistance. Hope this helps people
Odd choice by havoline to not include a flow spout out of the bottom side like other boxed oils. Doesn't seem like it's worth the hassle unless you have a car that needs between 5 and 6 quarts.
The spout is definitely weird. The only way I would see it being worth it is if your car takes 6 quarts. Besides that I don't see it being worth the extra headache.
Yeah replaced that plastic crap 3 times moved up to the aluminum housing 45.00 plastic 25.00
If this had been my personal car, I would've done the same thing.
Nothin I love more than an ice cold water
You gotta use it once then it will leak 😂
That makes sense. It doesn't leak until the warranty is over.
Even easier is to disconnect the wiring and turn the brake mechanism clockwise until it stops. Voila, done.
So if you disconnect the wiring you can just hand turn the electronic brake mechanism?
@@Embarrassed4U Yes, I've done it on both sides when I fitted new slotted disc rotors.
Turned mine and it won't go the last quarter inch needed to put it back together.
@@michaelknightbpa What's an inch?
4.2 qts of oil to do an oil change? Think I would throw in 4qts & call it a day……
🤫 shhh
Then you'd lose out on 1 hp
This was painful to watch....
It's like a motorcycle oil filter that's internal?
Basically
It is a cartridge system used in most European cars, especially German cars. Also used by Toyota and Hyundai in most models. This is due to EU environmental regulations, since disposing of just a paper cartridge is a lot less hazardous waste than a metal canister with paper filter inside. Keep in mind that there are 2.5 billion cars on the road in the world, and most of them should be using 2 oil filters per year.
@Mark-rw3kw in the US, Toyota is actually going back go canister filters on almost all cars. As someone who used to manager a oil change center, local dealers liked to put the caps on so tight you had to break them to get them off.
@@Mylifeinthepits I assume you mean Toyota is going back to the metal spin-on type of filters. Some people refer to cannister and cartridge filters to mean the same thing (only the paper element gets changed). I think the reason why Toyota is switching back is because they made their own cartridge filter assemblies, and they were generally poor quality compared to the German ones from Hengst and Mahle. I read many complaints about the Toyota cartridge systems on Toyota owner forums, such as threads being poorly manufactured. Plus Toyota had a weird method of draining the oil before removing the filter cap that most people didn't understand or botched using it. My 2009 Hyundai Genesis has a Mahle filter system with a very durable plastic (probably polycarbonate) cover, and never had a problem with it.
Still helped even in 2024 let's gooo
Get it before they delist it in a few months.
The purpose for octane is to slow down the rate of igniting the fuel, so it don’t ignite before it’s supposed to in high compression engines,so putting high octane gas in a regular car you are defeating the purpose It’s quite the opposite of what people think
I had an 82 Monte Carlo with a 350 from an RV, People asked me to do this all the time lol

Yes sir, they seem to have circled the problem on this one😂
The sad part is, 99 percent sure the shop she went to did this, then sent her down the road.
@@Mylifeinthepits That's actually the part that makes me angry after over 25 years of being a mechanic, I'm really tired of people thinking I'm trying to screw them over when they come in for an oil change with their busted piece of crap and I hand them the list of everything wrong with it
@masjuggalo she took this to a shop the get the plugs changed. They told her "they couldn't figure out how to get them out." She said when she picked it up it ran awful. This is what I pulled out of cylinder 3 with a magnet
@@Mylifeinthepits could be worse. I got hired at a shop the first job I got was a maxama that my predecessor had done a tune up on and now it won't run ..he put all the spark plugs in backwards with a impact gun
My turret was dry and when I added fluid it just kept drinking it up. It must be draining into the tranny. I added almost a quart and it's not coming above the piece that the shifter knob goes into. Any idea what seals the turret from the rest of the transmission?
It's going to have a gasket or RTV gasket maker in there. You will probably have to drop the transmission and pull it apart.
Nice good job sir
Well played, sir..
Thanks for sharing, I was actually struggling with this one!
I have run these plugs in my B&S 4 HP, runs sweet. Never missed a beat.
I've been impressed so far.
The only problem with the 5 qt is, my car does not take the entire 5, so I have a huge jug with a little in the bottom, so I like singles and put the left over behind the seat.
My gfs civic takes 4 quarts. So I have a quart left over after every oil change. I dump them all together in one jug. After 4 oil changes, she has enough oil for a 5th.
My guy sells it to me by the ounce
