    Good info.

  • @abdulsalamabdulrahmanabayo2189

    great video
    weldone.
    however, you did not mention efficiency of both charge controllers. i have noticed at peak sunlight, the low voltage charge controller seems to harvest a lot more from the panels while the high voltage charge controller harvest less and i think this is due to the energy losses due to conversion from high voltage to current.
    please do a video on a real time test between the two charge controller just as you did the video on mppt vs pwm
    THANKS.

    Do you mean the high voltage controllers convert the voltage or excess voltage to amps or current to charge the battery. Like if am getting say 20amps from the panel at 300v max. My charging will be greater amps or current at the battery end.

      @oliverogbonnaya6568 Před 24 dny

      @@eromonselevictor5995 no energy conversion is totally 100% accurate. Remember in every conversation energy heat is lost and that heat is also power. It'll depends on the manufacturer on the conversation rate of there charge controllers.

    You forgot to mention shading; It can affect series connected panels

      yes, shading on one of the panel, will limit the whole series connection to the current of the least producing panel. The shaded panel current will be used in getting the total power generated in the whole series connection. nonetheless, if there is no shading problem, then high voltage controller is the way to go. it is very efficient

      I think it is wise to use half cut panels for series installations, it reduces the effect of shading. What do you guys think?

    • @oliverogbonnaya6568
      @oliverogbonnaya6568 Před 24 dny

      @@goldencrownmotors5225 Yes there is a difference. Remember everything sums up to wattage. If you take drawing 5kwa from a 24v battery bank, it means you taking around 200amps from the battery bank.
      While if you are drawing 3kwa from a 24v battery bank means you are drawing 120amps from the battery bank. The more current you draw the faster your battery depletes. Thats where the professionals come in to advice you and guide you on the proper thing to do with your installations

      Amp x Voltage is NOT = current
      It's more closely = Watts.
      And Voltage is NOT "part of Current",
      To put simply, both voltage and current are distinctive parts of ELECTRICITY.
