Game 1 is why I have always loved watching protoss. Nothing else is as entertaining as the pure weaponized nonsense pros have managed to throw out and succeed with in high level games. The protoss games in the current GSL have been amazing this season as well with some wild cannon rushes, DT plays, etc
It was super cool to see these games on SC2:HL as well! A shame that mothership+tempest rush didn't hit as hard as you wanted, but I hope we'll get to see it again
12:25 seems like this fight, and the decisive fight towards the end, that the Templar are too clumped and exposed, making it easy for Lambo to jump them before their storms can really swing the fight? Do you think maybe one more archon and a few fewer stalkers, along with the Templar being slightly split up, could have changed that fight? Definitely felt like killing 10 queens should have been a good opening, but lambo somehow got to 95 drones anyway
It might be alot of work but the how good was this trade window would be nice to have even for a short period of time(so its possible to pause it) in those videos
@Harstem please do not forget to check the minimap in big fights (that could potentially win or lose you the game) because i often see you beein too focused on the fight not looking to the minimap for like 10 sec straight and missing a lot of important things. Well obviously not in this series but overall. Which could backfire if you underestimated the fight which forces you to kite back and if at the same time there comes some sort of drop or runby into your bases, you cannot react in time. I think if you get faster in these scenarios, like when you are improving/training to concentrate for the fight and the moment you know you have a split second to spare (or basically training that musle memory to always snap towards the minimap and right back to the fight) you use it to look to the minimap or maybe even doing some macro. I believe as a Protoss you should always have 2(+) Oracles so you can always place down some Stasis. Appropos Stasis Wards ---> I'd like you to experiment with placing down stasis inside or very close by your mineral lines to see if it is a viable option against runbys etc. or not. Or even against drops in the earlier stages of the game --> Put down a Stasis in your main base close to the mineral line on the most distant side to your opponent --> So that if he flies in for a drop and most likely unload on the left/right side of your mineral line and start chasing down your drowns that you pull away towards the Stasis --> He runs after your drones and boom straight into the Stasis. Another possibility that comes to my mind is to use one Oracle to fly around the main fight in a circle, behind your opponents army and then putting down a Stasis or two behind the fight. If the opponent is comming with a few reinforcing units that are clumped up you set them on a timer and basically null and void them OR if you manage to push out of your defensive position by holding and now chasing him down into kiting back into defense, you have already set a trap that both works as a disable tool for a chunk of his army. But also as some sort of force field --> As long as he runs straight into your Stasis while hes kiting away from your army etc.
Hi Harstem, I really enjoy this insight into your thoughts whilst playing. It feels quite personal that you are sharing this with us and being very honest and real. I appreciate it muchly. Thank you :)
@@BreadAndGatorade, re-watching he actually already has one near the natural's entrance where he idles, so he could've done it all. It had tons of energy and is the difference between idling 1 base and 2 bases with stasis traps. He also could have sent it against the opponent's third, not mass recalling it along with the Tempest. This forces a response from his opponent which he can take advantage of to snipe the spire with time, potentially a gg?

wrr
This is also why I love protoss, but no pri canon rushes get casted anymore 😭
@@ferguskennedy3135 Just happened in the GSL: czcams.com/video/W2Kfe7EPrSQ/video.html
2:09 You having the probe and Adept pretty much high-five there at the tower is impeccable timing, wow. Incredible.
Adept ? :)

Oh i thought this meant you were knocked out! Glad to hear your run continues cap
Harstem's last word at the end of video is understandable whether it is muted or in another language. You got this champ.
Lambo V Harstem GRUDGE MATCH! NO HOLDS BARRED!

Just watching this on SC2HL; came here for Harstem’s insight. :D

Excellent commentary at the start
Great plays, captain! Switching things up benefits you in the long run, so keep it up!
You will get it next time Captain! GGs!
We learn more from your losses than we do from your wins, keep it up!

8:27 The mothership is meant to be the core of the Protoss army, I think.
Thanks for this. Ill try to learn and use
minute 13 in game 1, you are on 4 bases with a 5th on the way, why are there only 3 nexues control grouped?
a mistake or on purpose?
Nothing beats a MS rush with a sentry for the enemy ramp, mmmmmhmmmm
Harstem really like mothership in current patch
I watched it live, but I really wanted to hear your imput!

always entertaining. also nice commentary, most of my game knowledge comes from watching you play and commentate! big ups 🤟😎
aw the little face you make when playing behind t.t
big fan, with respect, would 5 Tempest + Oracle in the Mothership recall be better? :)
yes but would not be possible to hit the 7 min timing, so actually no

Noobs Vs Disguise! FIGHT!
Hi Harstem!!!
why does this vid load so slowly?
Works just fine for me. Probably your internet.
Idk i thought that too but other videos worked fine while this one had to load every 5-10 seconds. Weird.
Worked fine for me too - could be CZcams taking a bit of time to get the video synced to different regions
