Biggest mistake the FA made was not keeping Venables has England manager after Euro 96. I have never seen England play so well & they would have gone on to greater things.

El Tel was a real legend, RIP, I love the story about the reporter exposing Terry and his young bit of stuff, that turned out to be his daughter, they make out they love him now but the media were always out to get him, top bloke and his players loved him, he had panache.

When I woke up to the news that Terry had passed it was like being hit with a sledgehammer,Im not a Tottenham fan but I am of great characters and managers/human beings and Terry was all of those things and more,my thoughts are with his worldwide family and friends god always takes the ones he feels are needed else where and I'm sure Tel will be used to make everyone's life better he certainly made me believe in good things rip tel ynwa ❤️

Venables told the players in Hong Kong to go out enjoy yourself because when you get back to England you will be in training for the euro 96, he signed a 2year contract and told the FA if they want him to stay till 98 world cup then they must offer him a contract by a certain date, FA could make up there mind in the end the FA offered venables a contract after the date he stated so he turned them down.
