Thank you for helping us newbies! 😊
You are so welcome!🐨💜
Love your channel it’s so nice to listen to someone who speaks slowly and explains everything. Glad I found it.
Beautiful x
Thank you julia 💙🐨
Darren, both pieces are gorgeous! Thank you for showing us a cheaper alternative for those of us who are starting out or just needing to practice!
Love the pink radial
Thx that was huge fun! Think I’ll give it a whorl
I have been watching and learning about all types of art for 4yrs and was frustrated with the secrecy in what people use for PM. I care for my elderly sister who has an intellectual disability as well as immobile. It has been hard to take her out because of her disabilities. I paid to do the Shellee art course months and actually haven’t finished the video. I finally now have found a way for my sister to do something at home. She says I can’t paint and I said you don’t need a paint brush. I had a builder give me some of his old house paint woohoo. I am going to transfer the paint into milk bottles and hopefully have some use for the paint. I am a country girl where we had mainly what you can find and manipulate. Ihave an idea of using a liquid floor polish to thin paint. Ha ha I have been accumulating a lot of different mediums paint pigments stencils canvases and 6ml mdf rounds. I have done a few pieces of art happy with some and not so happy with others. I enjoy watching the simplistic tutorial for my sister to follow. She has short attention span so the little squeaky toys adds a laugh for her.
So thank you for sharing.
This was such a great and easy way to get people started. Thank you for sharing, they turned out beautiful.
Thank you so much Michelle 🐨💋💜❤️
❤❤❤THANK YOU so much for the very best tutorial I have seen. You are an EXCELLENT TEACHER. Thank you again - I’m so appreciative ❤❤❤
I do dot painting and someone said they add Infacol colic drops to their paints to get rid of air bubbles. She was a theatre nurse and said they used it a lot. It might help x
Incredible!!
Love your tutorials. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your paint thinner recipe. I'll have to try that 😊
Wow, who knew we didn't need expensive pouring mediums or silicone!? Looks fabulous like butterfly wings.
Can't wait to try this!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Hope you like it! 👍 🐨
I learned so much from watching this. Thank you so much. Trying the process today. ❤❤❤

🎉❤🎉Super! ❤
Thanks for sharing ❤️😍🇩🇰
Wow that was a great video Darren I will try it out as I have not tried blooms yet ❤️❤️
Love your video thank you I'm new at this sooo thanks for the help 😀 🎉🎉❤
❤
I always feel like a beginner every time I do one of these. So thank you for a new idea. To me they always seem just like a background I'm in landscape artists so I'm thinking once The fad goes away. Maybe that these could be used for a background for an ethereal picture painting. I don't know if I'll ever get used to them as just that as as a painting thank you❤
I have some of these I haven't used yet.
Loved this demonstration and that piece is gorgeous! So, all I need is JoSonja and distilled water in my tube paints AND my CA which is thinner than my paints. I think that’s the take away, right? I just watched a video of yours where you created a beautiful bloom with no pillow paint. Sounds like I can eliminate all the house paint!! 👍🏼
Yep, that's it. It works out way cheaper using house paint for a pillow and pouring medium in the long run.
I would like to do this on a large round lazy Susan. Should I do more than one layer of each color in order to cover the entire round. I’m guessing it’s at least 18” in circumference. Love the color palette!
Hi Cathy, yes you can do multi layers or just more of each colour ❤️🐨
Thanks so much for this amazing video. Quick question is your house paint mixed with anything? Thanks so much these turned out so cool
Thank you , no it's just straight out of the can 💜👍🐨
@@venomfluidart thanks so much. You helped me so much today love doing the swipe.
Excelente video. Gracias por compartir. Me gustaría saber si a la lámpara negra le colocaste Jo Sonya. Gracias ❤
How do these dry, does the CA sink? And do the cells disappear?
Thanks, Wombat. I have some Liquitex Fluro colors. Would they work for this recipe ? I already use Amsterdam Lamp Black for my CA. I do like the Pebeo Paints (goody, more stuff to buy 😉),
Yep they worked Suzanne ❤️🐨
does it have to be jo sonja varnish; can I use any other I'm in the uk thanks
Belo vídeo explicativo; então o Preto só tem água?
In this great video, was the water, JoSonia mixture used in the swipe or just water?
I wondered too. It looked like he mixed them all with the same bottle
Hi Bubbles and Wombat, Watching the premiere but for some reason CZcams is being a butt and not giving me a chat box to type in live chat with Y'all 😢
I had that same problem the other day Julie ❤
Thank you! So good to know as a beginner. I have one question though, in the white housepaint, did you put water in that??
Yr welcome dani, no the white house paint is straight out of the tin with nothing added 🐨💖
I find all the house paints so expensive at bunnings now, woner whether discount paint places are cheaper
The prices have definitely jumped in the last 12 months, even a 1 litre bottle of floetrol has gone from $16 to $29.
But it still works out a lot cheaper in the long run.
Is there an alternative to josonja gloss varnish?
Thx that was huge fun! Think I’ll give it a whorl! Does the Amsterdam work because it’s denser than the pigments and the pillow paint?
Can you continue to use the drops of water in order to thin it out enough to do a Dutch pour ?
Yo can, but I would go more than 15-20% water to paint.
Can I leave overnight the cell activator? Thank you
Absolutely beautiful Thank you for sharing such a brilliant tip. Here in the UK importing Australian Floetrol is way too expensive.
Can I ask if any gloss varnish would work? Your gloss varnish isn’t available here 🙁
Ty
It looks messy, I wanted to try, since I basically do still Art, watercolor and Acrylic. Never did this! I have limited space. Is your tub a cement tub for easy cleaning? I will have to find something like that , and use it in my garage!
Ty again for your videos too.
It's definitely messy, I do this in a plastic tub. Let the paint inside dry and it peels off.
Wonderful art, but what's Jaisonia? I am in Italy so... Ty
Thank you, the josonja gloss varnish is a clear waterbased acrylic varnish.
@venomfluidart HI there! Would polyacrylic be the same? I'm in US.
hi darren, i hope you are well, i am in the uk and to buy jo sonja gloss varnish it costs 79.57 USD for 16 oz bottle which is way too expensive. Can you recommend any other gloss varnish that works pretty much the same as jo sonja, and hopefully will be able to buy in the UK . Many thanks Carol
Great video! I'm in USA where Aussie floetrol is cost prohibitive so it's great to find a recipe that doesn't use it. I'm curious what makes using the "right stuff" (Aussie floetrol, etc) more gallery quality than paint and water? Is it the quality of pebeo paint?
Do you have to resin MDF rounds or can you varnish with Liquitex?
No pam, you can varnish or use clear spray paint also if you don't want to use resin 👍🐨
Ficou Fantástico. Uma pergunta só a cor preta continha cell activator as outras cores so foram diluidas com água? Obrigado
Only the black 👍🐨
Your tutorials are amazing, thankyou so much for amazing videos 🎉 ❤
May I please ask where I can buy those round edge boards from @ I'm in Australia, but I've not been able to find the type that you use in your videos.🙏
Thank you so much. All the cradled rounds, and all the other mdf shapes I use I make myself. I just buy sheets of mdf and cut them up ♥️🐨
@@venomfluidart oh ok tysm for replying 🙏 do you have any videos for people like myself who are not familiar with diy cutting of them. I would absolutely love to see a video of instructions 🙏🙏🙏
The house paint keeps coming through in the center of the painting, is it too thin/thick? I’m using Valspar 2000 white base satin paint. It’s as if the colored paint is sliding off.
Thanks that was a big help!
I was asking if Pebeo could be used as a cell activator. With aussie sauce
Yep, sure can 👍🐨
Hi, thanks for sharing this. Im in the UK and I heard you mention that your pillow paint was from the UK. Can you please tell me which brand you used and did you add any water to thin it down. Thanks X
The pillow paint is British paints ( its the name of the brand here in Oz)
@@venomfluidart Oh right I understand. Thanks for taking the time to reply. xx
Lovely
What did you use as a cell activator?
Looks like you had a very small hair dryer, where did you buy it from please? So good to have an Aussie doing this, most of the you tube is USA and unable to understand all the different mediums they use. Thanks!
That's called the world's smallest blower, it runs off usb power and is available in Oz at officeworks for $20.
You can also get them on ebay or Amazon 👍🐨
Doesn't the paint thicken up if you leave it over night?
Have a question please, is the water you're using to thin down the paint, the same waer water you added Jo Sonja to (3:1)?
Yes, it's the same water for everything 👍🐨
@@venomfluidart thanks a mill 👍
When using house paint for the background pillow, is it best to use gloss, semi gloss, or flat?
It's best to use a low sheen, satin, something that has very little gloss to it.
@@venomfluidart Thank you!
So its 2 parts water or 3 parts water thamk u
He said one part J, 2 parts h2o 😊
Hi again I’m in U.K. is your teaspoon the same size as aUK teaspoon 5ml I don’t t seem to have as much black paint as yours when mixed thank you
I add more so I don't run out for the videos I'm doing, same consistency just more off it.
What dose josonia do for the painting please
It stops the paint from breaking down due to tha added water
Can you tell me what is the ratio of water to Jo Sonja to be used as the thin down water?
1 part Jo, 2 parts water 👍🐨
What are you using for pillow paint? Thanks for sharing 😊
It's house paint , works out way cheaper than tube paint for a pillow.
Hello, thank you for your receipe. You said you mix jaesonia (i don't know what that is) with water. Can you tell me what it is. How do you spell it. Sorry I live in France I don't know if we have that product here. thanks for your answer
It's josonja gloss varnish, a water based polyurethane varnish.
Do u cover the paints when you let them sit overnight?
Hi there
Where do put your spin top into? Is it in a covered surfaces? WHAT DIAMETERS IS YOUR SPINNER?
It's inside a big plastic tub, I have a few different size spinners, 13" 20" & 30"
Where do you buy the big round tub so you don’t get paint everywhere? Do they have them in Bunnings?
Yep it's in bunnings, in the garden section where the kids play houses and slides are 👌🐨
You put josonja in your water?
hi how it is the black paint with jo san makes it an cell activator than the paints
Beautiful thank you for share Amsterdam Black but what is the name of the black please thank you
I’m having a rash of crazing in my work. Can you tell me what causes it?
It can be a number of different reasons, air movement, high humidity, high temperature, to much water, lower quality paints, pouring medium not compatible with pillow paint and the list goes on. If you are a member of my Facebook group post some pics and I can take a look for you 👍🐨
I don’ understand when you use Jo-Sonia alone and when you use water with Jo-Sonia.
A squirt of Jo goes in with the paint, then thin down with the water/ josonja mix.
where can you get the things to send your Your pictures on when you’re painting
Is your black mixed with just plain water 💧
It's got a little josonja gloss varnish in it, same as the colours 👍🐨
Is the water you use for the cell activator, the same as you used in the paints? 3:1 water and JoSonja?
Yep, out of the same bottle 👍🐨
My question was answered in the 2nd piece you did. 😊 Thanks for all of your tutorials!
Hi, please help me if you can, i am in the Uk & have brought Owatrol, it is really thick & gloopy, can i dialute it with water before i use it ?
You don't need to add it in this recipe that's in the video.
But yes you can thin with a little water.
Thank you for your help 😊 i love all of your videos ❤
What is the name of cell activator. I never heard of it I live in the USA where would I get it????
It doesn't have a name, you make it like I did in the video 👍🐨
what is "Josanya"????
Never heard of it!!
Where do you get it ?
How much do you add??
It's the josonja gloss varnish, it's all in the video
Why does the Amsterdam work as cell activator when it is mixed the same as the other paints?
It's a thinner consistency
@@venomfluidart ok. Thank you. That confused me as to how it worked when it was the same mixture
