I can't believe she's gone I was born November 1958, she has always been queen all my life. Our queen Elizabeth will sadly missed by myself my 2 grown up children have just rang me they are 43 and 38 even they are heartbroken I didn't think it would affect them but they are kin tears. I'm 20 and it affects me as well! Crazy how much of an affect she's had on everyone, we've all mostly known no one else!
thank you for sharing you story. I am sorry for the loss of your dear mother, as well. Most of us have known no other but the Queen during our lifetime. As a child of the 60's myself and an ocean away, she was in our lives as well through all of her travels being televised on our news. I've tried to visit every royal residence on my trips to the UK, and I know my intrigue began when I was a child seeing her life played out on our black and white tv set.

Honestly, if the length of the royal, as well as national mourning length is based on precedent, they should lenghten that time. Solely to commemorate the incredible amount of time the Queen as lead her country. She may not have been my Queen, but I doubt there are many that know of her and didn't respect her.

When I first found out she died (by my mother) I wasn't surprised tbh cause so much death of so many great people happened that I wasn't 2 shocked I was sad I had tears but when I found iur about her health I knew she was going to die.
