Looks so good in person! Just weighed the relay with the battery out, only slightly heavier than my alloy spire with coil...
What’s the weight ?
@@kylemiddleton848 According to their product page, "Starting at 42.5lb/19.27 kg with the battery and 37.5lb/17.01kg without the battery,"
Thank you guys so much for not running headset cable routing and instead putting ports in the head tube! It looks so much better
+ working on those head tube cables sux
I love the format of dividing the shredit from the tech video. This is the first eBike I’m interested in riding. See you in a few weeks. :)
This bike is sick. The best e-bike out there right now. 3:31 Landing, we need no stinking landings, we huck to flat.
Best eBike ? Yet you’ve never road one before… this statement is like watching a cooking show and arguing who’s dish tasted the best. Asinine.
@@shrimpquarantine1741 don’t try to fool anyone, you don’t get invited to parties
This has to be the cleanest looking e-bike in a while. It looks so streamlined and the motor isn't bulging
Demo'd one today at my home trails. (Thanks Drew!) This e-bike is amazing. Period.
Nice looking bike for sure. Luv me sum eMTB. There are days when I go out on my eMTB that I do not use the motor 80% of the ride and that’s with my battery in place.
Awesome video
Ok, that's a really nice looking bike TR. Well done!!
Awesome bike well done transition
Awesome! 😎👍
That thing looks sick aye eff.
i always love how cool they always want to make this bike look like but then you see only dadbuds with full face and full armor rididng xc trails with that
I love the idea of being able to easily remove the battery and still have a ridable bike. I do downhill bike parks in Colorado and not all bike parks allow e-bikes. This looks like it would be a great ride for bike parks, then pop in the battery for shuttling the local trails. I'm in the market now and will give this serious consideration. Can't wait to see one in person. I hope they are coming out soon.
This guy gets it!! Look forward to some builds being available in late March
This thing looks absolutely amazing. The future is now.
My 2022 Giant Trance Advance Pro 29 1 with Fox Live Valve May only be a Segway to a bike like this new Transition Bike. An outstanding creation spawned from a very smart and well-executed vision… I suppose now, I must “transition” over to the products web page 😮😊🎉
I love the concept! This might be my first ebike. But the bashguard reminds me of my girlfriend’s cruiser 😅
♥️ dream bike ✌️👌
Finally! Now I have to get to selling both my Commencal eeb and DH bike 😂👍
Absolute dream bike. It would be the bike I would design for myself. I both normal and ebikes. Heavy ebikes are great for big jumps and long distance riding. Normal bikes are better for small jumps and technical trails. This fits all of my riding needs
Now I'm really thinking about getting a e-bike 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Can’t wait for the sentinel and spire updates.
I was waiting to buy the relay this year. But got a smoking deal on a full power kenevo! Maybe in 4 years when I get another new the technology will be better! But not sure how they can improve this!
Is there going to be a frame only option? Also I see in your promo vid and photos you have the latest rockshox suspension on some bikes but all the builds listed on the site only have fox configurations will you have any rockshox builds?
Looks like a normal bike, such a clean lines.
For XXL do you think a 27 makes sense? I’m looking at the PNW version.
I'd buy one if it had 435mm chainstay in size small :( Will the chainstay from XS fit?
Did you switch from the XX1 to the new XX Transmission? I ordered the XX1 version from my LBS and it was expected to deliver soon but now I see the XX Transmission on the website and in the pictures. Will the version I ordered have the old XX1 or the new stuff?
How much tune up does the suspensions need when switching from battery on to battery off the frame? I'm thinking that sag, rebound and compression damping need to be adjusted?
The weight difference with/without the battery is similar to wearing a hydration pack on one ride, and not on another. So for those that change their settings very meticulously (kudos to you who do this!), then you may want to adjust settings for when the battery is in/out. But for most of us, the difference in weight is minimal and not necessary to make changes to the shock/fork.
Super excited, can't wait to check one out in person! When will more details be on the site? Builds? Price?
8am today!
@@transitionbikes7777 Killing us East Coasters! 😁 Thanks!!!
@@transitionbikes7777 What about weight? When will that be announced?
Very cool hybrid concept...well done Transition bikes! This type of model will be sure to attract those that are hesitant about the eMTB market. Hate it or love it, eMTB is the future and bikes like this are an example of that. Next level stoke awaits...what are you waiting for!?
What's the alloy build weight?
My wife is really short (4’10”). Can she get an XS with 27.5 wheel set and what would the stand over height be?
Awesome, now where my carbon smuggler?
you mention just flipping the chip to allow mixed or straight up 29", i assume this is the same for both models not just the PNW?
That's correct! The Relay and Relay PNW share the same frame. We are just offering two different build styles for you to choose from to best fit your riding
What a rad bike. Are you guys going to go consumer direct?
Depending on where you live, you can already buy a TR from the comfort of your home!
@@transitionbikes7777 Thank you I love this brand and you guys do an excellent job.🔥🙏
Why is there so little press on this bike? I want to find out more about it, but there are VERY few reviews to reference.
and its yours for 10000 !
I wonder if the cables are gonna rattle. If so - why not change it if it has been a problem for so long?
We definitely strive to make bikes as quiet as possible. The Relay secures the cables neatly to the battery rack in the downtube, eliminating all cable rattle. That along with the motor being very quiet makes the Relay one of the most quiet ebikes we have ridden.
What's the weight with and without the battery?
You can find all the details at transitionbikes.com !
Aluminum?
Got ours on order, now we wait...
MTB & eMTB in 1! It’s about time!
£8:500 is takin the Michael
What purple hubs and stem is she running? 🤔
Figured out it's a Tenet stem!
For those interested, here's some additional information on the Fazua factory and some solid details on the motor and app/software. All I have to say is absolute game changer: czcams.com/video/l5PuV69K-c8/video.html
The bike looks nice but a 2 year warranty on the motor for this expensive of a bike is a no go. There really needs to be a longer warranty on the motor to bring more people into the sport. I've had my current eBike for almost 4 years and gone through 3 motors so a longer warranty would sway me to purchase one brand over another.
Like other bike manufactures… they’re using the lighter weight as a selling point but are to afraid to give a range of the weight based on spec. Very annoying when it comes e-bikes. This matters to buyers
I think I just fell in love ❤
Now I just need to rob a bank or such 😉
TAKE MY $$$
Can you just simply turn off the motor and pedal it with the battery still installed?
Absolutely!
@Transition Bikes what's the average weight for a size medium ?
@@cliffsangelsphotography We don't have an average for all builds yet (We don't weigh until we have the exact build that is sold), but the Relay build in the video is 43lbs with the battery, 37.7 lbs without the battery
@@transitionbikes7777 thanks for the info. I'm in the market for an ebike this year 🤙
The perfect ebike for people who don't know they want an ebike. Your next one will be full power
Starting price is 20grand
And still need a Cascade Components linkage to ride properly 😄 🤣
That cheap LED hub is so bulky and only 5 LEDs...on $10k+ bikes. A nicely integrated OLED display would be too much to ask 🤦♂
I have a Kenevo now, and yes, I must agree. The Relay display is weak. Everything else, looks sick!
@@cardifftube7633 And the flimsy remote...and the battery mount with those 4 external screws
Why not a 27,5“ Option? such a shame
I was excited until I saw it was an ebike....
Using a motor is blasphemy for people who have a passion for bicycles. To me that is nothing but a motorcycle and it is destroying the industry as we speak because it promotes lazyness.
No one cares anymore. It's 2023, ebikes are here to stay and they are great for certain people who have had health problems or disabilities.
@@poshpickle9024 99.99% of people who choose these electric motorcycles use it as an excuse for not doing all the work themself. This is why such people start believing they are doing all the work, except for when someone reminds them that is a lie. All of a sudden brain starts working again for some reason...
PS: Nobody cares for carelessness. If we can tell ourself we are helpless, we can tell ourself we are not. It's only a choice.
The cool thing is, you don’t have to buy and ride one. You just have to deal with getting passed on the climbs. 🤣
🤣😂😅 Dude, go back to 2017, where you belong.
Even Transition have changed their conservative minds on e-bikes by now....
@@KYMXRacer exactly! You also can plow your own fields to cultivate your own wheat, so you can grind it into flour and bake your own bread (shopping bread is so lazy... 🙄). You can also hunt your own game (but only using hunting weapons you made yourself - no firearms - they are e-bikes of weapons) - buying meat or even keeping animals is only for the e-bikers - a real mountain biker only eats wild game. And all that in your electricity-free log cabin you build with your bare hands. But then - how do you access YT to make stupid comments on videos?
