Italian Chef Reacts to GORDON RAMSAY Greek is better Than Italian Food

  • Gordon Ramsay believes that Greek food is better than Italian food...But does Gordon Ramsay know what real Italian food is? 80% of Italian food around the world is fake just like the Carbonara made by Gordon Ramsay so how can you judge Italian food if you have never been to a local restaurant or a Nonna's house in Italy?
What makes Italian food, "Italian food"? Its so important to recognise that its about SO MUCH more than pizza and pasta. More than anything, Italian food is about culture; an experience which immerses you entirely in history and therefore tradition and maybe most importantly, love.
When you visit Italy, try to steer away from the tourist traps and stereotypical dishes. Find a local, talk to a bus driver even, and you'll uncover the authenticity you've always craved and it will open your eyes to the Italy everyone should know and love.
Dishes which have been in families for generations, restaurants that are like institutions, a second home to the locals and of course FLAVOURS like you've probably only ever dreamed of.
Less is more in Italian cuisine, use top ingredients and get the best out of them.
Go on, I dare you, enjoy Italy the RIGHT way. Don't be a tourist, be a local and it will open you up to a whole new world.

I love Italian food, from pasta to tiramisu. I've tried some Greek foods too, but still a few (will try to eat more if this damn pandemic ends).
Both cuisines have unique characteristics and are both equally healthy. So it's pointless to compare Greek and Italian foods.

Let us say that Greeks have more manners and respect than to bore us bragging about how great Greek cooking is. My first husband was Italian, as I am. He and his mother BORED THE HELL OUT OF THE FAMILY WITH THEIR EVER LASTING BRAGGING ABOUT HOW GREAT ITALIAN FOOD IS. Well becausecof my food allergies, I was allergic to flour and my throat would close up with a laryngospasm. No air was getting in or out. I needed an epi pen! My cousins are Greek. It is delicious. Both Italians and Greek have certain similarities especially southern (Sicilian ( and greek--lamb, garlic, lemon, eggplant, etc. The healthiest option for me is my second husband's cuisine. He comes from Sweden and the ingredients are basic and healthy. I have lost weight because we eat so much fish. One thing I appreciate is that Swedes are quiet, respectful and have enough BRAINS NOT TO PUSH THEIR COOKING DOWN YOUR THROAT. THEY ARE A LOT QUIETER THAN ITALIANS. EVERYBODY HAS A RIGHT TO EAT WHAT TGRY LIKE WITHOUT ARGUMENTATIVE PEOPLE TURNING THE DINING ROOM TABLE INTO A BATTLE ZONE EXPECTING EVERYBODY TO WORSHIP THE CHEF'S CULINARY SKILLS, --OR LACK OF THEM. That is my Italian mother. SHE IS SO NARCISSTIC SHE DEMANDS PRAISE FOR cooking nobody wants cause they prefer American food

It’s like when you learn a song on an instrument. You have to learn the song as intended by the composer using the techniques and timing as written before for you can play with it. Otherwise you are either disrespecting the song or creating a whole new one.
You have to learn the original recipe and technique of a dish as intended before you tweak it.

I made a Greek soup and she felt immediate relief and loved the taste. She said "I'm full, but I don't feel any discomfort and, it's very gentle on my stomach.." And I filled a Tupperware and gave it to ger to take Home.

I agree with changing the name to match the change -- "mushroom carbonara" or something. For me, I make "carbonara", but use grated parm instead of pecorino, because I simply can't buy pecorino or have it delivered. I still call it carbonara, but recognize that it's not perfect.

As a Greek, who cooks eight international cuisines, I can safely say that Greek cuisine is the best in terms of quality, health and taste. We are blessed to have the mainland and island regions, thd unique soil, best climate, sun and sea, to produce the best quality of products.
Greek cuisine is very ancient and diverse, it goes back thousands of years and every region has its own dishes..from vegetables, to meat, poultry, fish, seafood, fruits, dry nuts, essences, and the Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨✨✨ olive oil 🫒

I think they compare two different things here. When we hear Italian cuisine we think this 🍝 🍕and Greek cuisine we think this 🌯 🥩. Meet, cheece and carbs can do anything taste good. And the truth is that most of the world can't even think of eating the most common dishes of both cuisines. Greek diet is full of beans (lentils, chickpeas etc.), grilled fish with just olive oil and lemon, and so on. In both cuisines we appreciate the simplicity in flavor, bitter, salty, sweet all come together and we accept it. Italy have more or less the same dishes without the middle Eastern "touch". I believe that western countries (the majority) they never gonna come close to our tasting palette, it's impossible, they grow up with different flavors and diet habits, their palette will always recognize specific flavors that can appreciate but everything else for them it's gonna be too biter or too salty or too sweet or too boring etc.

Wheat, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and extra virgin olive oil are the base of both cuisines. What can possibly go wrong? Is the Mediterranean taste. Feta and Pecorino are not so different in fact. If you go basil is Italian ..ish....if you go organon is Greek..ish. Both are top-quality cuisines
