- Mighty Diamonds are a Jamaican harmony trio, recording roots reggae with a strong Rastafarian and social influence.
The group was formed in 1969 and remains together with that same formation nowadays!
Their first hit singles were recorded and released by the Channel One label. Two of their first greatest songs, "Go Seek Your Rights" and "I Need A Roof" both from early 70s, are classic Mighty Diamonds 'roots reggae' style, in their case characterised by close harmony 'conscious' lyrical content., relatively high-pitched lead vocals, and majestic Instrumentation. - Hudba

I listened to this great music when I was just a little girl. My uncle who was a Medical doctor played the tune frequently, until he passed, sadly, at the tender age of 38; and each time I heard the song, it brought good memories of my uncle, his friends and their love and passion for this music. When I grew up, I didn't know which group played the music, and then I told a guy who loves music just like me, and I said, I only know some lines...' I need a roof, ' that I do not know the rest of the lyrics; then I hummed it for him, and he told me straight up the group who made the wonderful song, and I kept playing it till date, again and again...so sad to know we lost one of them. May his soul rest in peace. 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
