Every time I furiously Jack In I get asked to leave the store
Despite the name, apparently you’re *not* supposed to do that at Jack in the Box?? That’s just false advertising and bad marketing...
@@TomatoAbeNEVER Jack in to the box! That's how babies are made
You need to do it harder
Man, I really missed hearing Liam playing a game. Sad we won’t be getting more Rising Super Streams since those were always the most chill thing ever, but I’m glad Liam’s off to Japan and doing what he’s wanted to do! Hope to play another one of his games in the future
Boy howdy I did not expect this specific Battle Network installment, but hot dang I'm more excited for it than any other possibility
I remember renting this game from Blockbuster and being floored from how much this game kicks your teeth in. But it always seemed like an approachable difficulty, like pieces to a puzzle. For me it became one of those games I rented to death until mastering it, and you my friend deserve kudos if you can beat the secret boss. It's basically you surviving massive damage attacks while hitting him with your strongest moves until you somehow do 1/3 damage to him. Than he just peaces out and spares your ass.
Truly a game of all time! I can feel Lan jack inside of me 😍
Hands down one of my favorite games, not just in the Mega Man series but overall. The soundtrack is phenomenal.
Also the buster goes from pitiful to broken when you upgrade it, as long as you focus on charge and power. Bosses become invulnerable and retaliate after getting hit with a chip attack but not after a charge shot, so when you hit for 100 and fully charge back up in 1 second they melt. That's toward the latter half of the game tho, you gotta work for it!
I love that the Elon Musk Twitter dig is every bit as relevant today as it was in January.
Please a MMBN lp with Liam. I didn't even know I wanted this.
Liam has truly grown as a person. At 19:10 he didn't immediately reply with "big fan"
Oh Hell yeah! Liam's here!
>Liam begins to go over the card mechanics< Oh no...
Please do more Castlevania!
'Is that render for something new?'
I think they just upscaled the mmbn5 double team thing.
Believe it or not, I actually beat this game in full. I know how you feel about how weak the buster is in the beginning. I focused on upgrading the buster to full power and that was a life saver.
Megaman X definitely had the "interconnectivity" of the stages since the first entry. I don't remember if there were more, but I know for a fact that the lava in Flame Mammoth's stage will have cooled (and thus be safe to walk on) if you have already beaten Chill Penguin.
If you beat Storm Eagle before going to Spark Mandrill's stage, the airship has crashed there and, among other things, neutered the amoeba midboss's electric cannon attack; it still tries to use it, but no shots come out. Also, if you beat Launch Octopus before going after Sting Chameleon, parts of the stage are flooded, which I believe makes some hidden powerups more accessible.
Most famous for its inverted difficulty curve!
holy shit yes more liam i love you two
This game made me think megaman games were literally impossible. I'm really glad capcom did the megaman collections on the ps2 because it meant I got to see that I was wrong and also activated a hyperfixation which lasted most of my late childhood and early teens (and has recently been revived) with the plot of megaman as a whole.
I used to be so sure back in the day that if they did an Zero.EXE they'd do an X.EXE as well. I used to draw what I thought he'd look like a lot. BN6 is still one of my fav games. I know Capcom probably isn't interested but if we ever get the Starforce games on Switch I'd be over the moon.
The X of this universe is just called Jr.
This is mentioned in the star force games
One of the few CAPCOM exclusives for the purple launch box and one of the forgotten games from the company.
What they didn’t show: this game has no autosave, so when they die to the second boss, it effectively wipes all their progress.
YAYYYYY!! I love when Matt and Liam collab. They play off each other so well that they make the best team…..with the exception of James and Maso from Weekly Planet.
15:34 In all honesty Liam explained it well, but out of context it's a really hilarious statement.
I mean if we do get another Mega Man, I 100% KNOW what I want. I want the 3rd game to complete the trilogy. That's right...
Mega Man ZX3
Legends was not the only subfranchise that ended on a cliffhanger, folks.

No that's what Twitter always looks like
Me and a friend of mine had the tamagachi/digimonesque net Navi things but even though I had a protoman version the only net Navi you can get is MegaMan also if you wanted all of them battle chips you had to buy a bunch of toys
This had so much potential. I always go back to play it and nope out around Fire Man
So my uncle bought me a game of my choice and it was this one. After watching me continue to die on the same level, he offered to buy a second game, and that's how I got Need For Speed Underground.
Society did not fall apart since January
It just feels like it
I remember Xplay reviewing this game and they made a bit about how they couldn't get past the first boss (Fireman) so they made an intern do it.
Their way of saying how hard this game made me want to try it as a kid.
Speaking of Megaman games. Matt you should check out Gravity Circuit. It's a very good game that takes inspiration from Megaman X.
Loved this game growing up, I always wished it had a sequel that integrated the Style Changes from BN2/3.
Still wild that Capcom just let Megaman as a series die for a decade all to spite one man
It's not so much as spite. It was more that they had no leadership after Inafune left Capcom. So they canceled the games due to that lack of leadership. After some time passed eventually somebody was able to get some work on for Mega Man. After all some of the games in development were a complete mess (Mega Man Universe).
for there was a ton of megaman game people got burned out on them
Oh well one of Capcom considering to making new Megaman game
I've actually never even seen this game despite loving the first few Battle Network games.
Let's gooo
I guess it was actually probably ok that they didn't include this in the mmbn collection. So hard
Lots of Liam, lots of jackin', what's not to like?
huh, I had legitmily forgot this game ever existed
"Sorry?" 🤨
i'm appalled liam said it's fake getter robo when it's clearly fake mazinger z, smdh i be clutching my pearls😂
You should stream megaman zero series.
....I fuckin' miss Phantom Dust.
We need MM Legends 3 before ANYTHING!
SWEET ADULT LIAM IS HERE! I missed your happy voice.
I know this game is rough, but I remember having a lot of fun even if I got my ass kicked constantly lol
Gutsman! (DUH-NUUUUUN!)
All yeah, Card Game Month never ends!
Does it even count as a Liam appearance if we don’t hear “Capcom presents: Marvel Comics”?
Just discovered your channel. You have great content, great channel design, feeling, nostalgy, synthwave, 80s, 90s you will grow big man
He's been around for a long time, my dude! 😊
In the future you plug your thing into everything you can, finding weird things to jack into was fun - Probably Quagmire in the future
Nooooo Gollum got canned😥
last! dangit!
