- Welcome to MotoMedicine
Today I needed to revisit RTune for the PowerTRONIC ECU and resolve a previously discussed topic in one of my last videos. The proper procedure for now loading maps from two different tune files will be explained here. Make sure to watch the whole video.

Thanks for making this less intimidating for those of us who haven’t played around with electronics on our bikes. Made this task seem simple and being able to quickly and easily play around with MAPS is what makes this PowerTRONIC unit worth the price. I’ve ordered my ecu and selector switch based on your videos (so make sure you’re listening PowerTRONIC’s 😝).
Race Dynamics should send me out that Quick Shifter so we can test what its all about 😅
MotoMedicine i was looking at getting one, but my experience with riding friends bikes with them has not seemed worth the price of entry. Look forward to seeing a review sometime in the future with our specific model!
Once again, your content has helped me heaps!
I for sure plan to get this soon. Great video, Thank you!
Thanks!
Hello, I want to mix the pre load maps that comes with the ecu, map 1 upto 7k rpm and map2 above 7k rpm. Is that possible? If yes, can u share a video to configure the same?
Hey, awesome content! I bought my Powertronic after watching your install video! Is the Powertronic map 2 and the exhaust map tables any different? I remember you saying in a previous video they were the same. I have the same setup as you decat, slip-on, airbox lid, and I want to know if I should download the dedicated exhaust map.
They have pretty much identical fuel tables. The timing is slightly different but not enough that you really feel any sort of difference. I misplaced my stock files so I just used the exhaust map in its place.
So, when you save the original maps that was on the powertronics unit does it save both maps at once? I watched your first video on it and saved map 1 and loaded a map on it thinking it would only be on map 1.
Ok so u know that KTM Duke 390 runs lean from factory and also using only clutch to crawl the bik in bumper to bumper traffic is not easy and the engine heats up pretty quickly so can we make the air-fuel mixture more rich than it is by our own or does it come rich from powertronic tune.
Only way to modify the fueling is with a piggyback ECU that has custom map capabilities such as the Powertronic ECU. I'd also recommend switching to Engine Ice coolant as I did to help keep the engine Temps cooler as well.
@@MotoMedicine904 so did u made fuel mixture rich?
The maps powertronic puts on the ECU from the factory will help resolve the stalling but I ran a custom map that made better midrange power.
Powertronics provided map is running lean on map 2 at high rpm is that ok? And for exhaust map at high rpm i.e at 9k-10k rpm it's set to even higher negative number.. Is that ok?
Please help me as i dont have any dyno here
hi bro, i have a question, in the ingnition map the numbers "3", "4" etc are meaning 3°degrees, 4°degrees, etc...?
It’s not necessarily an exact degree. Each number represents a single increment of reduction or increase to fuel or ignition spark. So a 3 means it’s been increased 3 and -3 means reduced 3 from the stock setting. Zero (0) represents no change.
hey man! thanks for the vids!
I want to create a file with the Map 1 of two files. Is there any way I can copy all settings from Fuel and Ignition 1 to Fuel and Ignition 2 of a file without going through each value and doing copy and paste???
Did you try to high light all the data fields and doing a copy/paste?.
What does the FTC% do?
That question is better asked to Powertronic themselves i don't touch that stuff.
My powertronic just died after an hour of running .... sad now let’s see how they behave because I am in Europe and sending the ecu back is not really an option
Are you sure it's completely bricked?
MotoMedicine yes today I spoke to their support team it seems very unusual the second processor is probably dead they were extremely helpful very fast with their response and after extensive troubleshooting with the firmware of the ecu they decided to send me a replacement unit and asked for this one to be sent back so they could find the problem they were very kind and the entire situation was resolved within 18 hours from the first contact overall I was surprised with their customer support team If you want you could mention that in a video to do them some justice
@@martinskamla6789 thats good to hear. Glad they helped out quickly.
MotoMedicine yep they didn’t even require the ecu back they just said it would help them
Hey man, would you be able to send me the map file you use on your bike?
DM me your email on Instagram. @MotoMedicine_YT
@@MotoMedicine904 Do you have a map file for duke 200
No I do not. Just the 390
