Your video helped me determine that my rectifier is not functioning properly, I checked the resistance of my stator, and I couldn't get a reading between .120 .128, I was getting .6 .7 and my multimeter same as yours was set at 200 ohms. My stator was producing voltage around 18 volts at idle, but the rectifier was not converting enough AC voltage into DC to charge the battery, I was getting a reading of 8 volts at 4k RPM. Thanks man! It does work. Just made myself 2 mics from two pairs of headphones (Samsung & HTC) simply cut the headphones off with the scissors 😂 I guess the key to success is to simply have a mic that has very low sensitivity. My mic from Amazon was 64 db!!! That's overkill!!! So no wonder I had cracking on speeds higher than 80 km/h! For example Purple Panda is only 4 db!

So I know this is an old vid..but I've just come across it :) .. New rider..and I got a used 2021 Rebel 300 (wanted the 500)..I did get the 'Tinted' (light smoke?).installed myself...and at 5'4 it definitely is nice not hitting my chest, but the buffering on the top of my helmet I'm trying to tell myself it's worth it :)... hubby had me use some ear plugs, and that seemed to help some. - 2yrs later, do you still have the bike and what do you think?

I dug out an old iphone wired earbuds/mic after cutting off the ear pieces, and am using it on an OPEN FACE half helmet...the sound is amazaing - I put a dead cat on it, otherwise it is stock mic - better sounding than the purple panda or giant squid i use when I wear a full face helmet. thanks for the idea
