OK..My 1st real Dirtbike, was a Honda Trail 50 !!! It was 1968, Dad was a Jarhead...OOOHRAHH !!! We were going to Ocotillo Wells every weekend !!! He yanked our Briggs Stratton mini-bike because Todd rode through the fence due to a throttle cable incident !!! I came home from school crying like a little Baby...Dad came home with my 50 and Todd's 70 !!!! Thank you TODD....If it wasn't for you kicking my ass and going through the fence I would not know what I know now !!!! You were a good Big❤ Brother !!!! Ride On Big Brother!!!! I still wish I had that Trail 50 !!!!!
@@unknownstuntman Ever tried a WR250R? I have owned both and while the torque on the XR was sweet, I like the WR in just about every other way, but I believe they are comparable. Nice riding!
I disagree im still riding my highly modified xr 600 r with modern inverted shocks and updated mono shock its lighter and faster and is an absolute beast but they are very similar you can never go wrong with any xr the xr 400 is also quite the bike as is the 450 and i love the 250 and the old 185 in my opinion xrs are the funnest series of bikes ever made and most reliable 😊😊😊

I actually road dirt tracks with the XR650L. It only was a little hard on the wrists sometimes with the landings

Any suspension work? I rebuilt front and rear on mine thicker oil 12.5 spring rate in rear and .60 up front
Mine was stock but I only weight 155 pounds. I sold the 650l and wouldn’t mind owning another one for when everything else breaks.

@@samueljlarson yes my friend has an entire fleet of wr250s and it's a great bike for some people just not me. I have an excf500 and I sold my xr650l.

Still can’t decide if I want a plated xr600 or an xl650
Xl600 is faster and kickstart only but the xr650l is a better all around bike.
