    At least shipping cost of crude and of petrol back to the country will be off. So the retail price should be lower

    Bro,
    Port Harcourt refinery built by our forefathers has exceeded its useful lifespan. The analogue technology is obsolete. It should now be scrapped, and a new modern refinery built. Guys stop wasting your money and time on a futile, quixotic adventure. Out with the old, in with the new.

      I had once commented that they should be sold to "iron benders" from Aba.

      The refinery has two plants- the old plant built in 1965 (59 years ago) and another one built in1989 (35 years ago). Both are now junk and deserve to be scrapped. You would have to trawl old peoples homes and flea markets in Europe and North America to find retired old people who understand the now obsolete technology and spare parts for the analogue dinosaurs. When you find them, they will have a toothless laugh at you. Why? Because hell will freeze over before they would leave the comfort of their retirement to come and fix your yeye "refinery" when they want clean, non-fossil energy. Unu funny no be small, lol.

    There is proven crude oil 🛢️ in Alkaleri, Gombe state let them give it to Dangote
    Charge him based on flow meter

  • @odemaj8605
    @odemaj8605 Před 19 dny

    Yes ofcourse no one should expect dangote to sell at 600naria per litre, thats absurd.
    The major reason fuel price was so high before and after subsidy was high cost of refining in dollars abroad and cost of importation
    So why shouldn't he sell way cheaper than 600,when all of those cost are gone,including the fact that he will transact in naria.

  • @HamisuKNusa
    @HamisuKNusa Před 27 dny

    So we will get from dangote refinery to the factory straight up ...is that still a place to land those crude oil as a cost which must be paved ..I still don't get it how they are trying to force this prices up

  • @zeeone4492
    @zeeone4492 Před 27 dny +1

  • @crowncrown-og1bp

    Why will the price still be the same, the product was not imported so it has to be cheaper

    • @armijinyawa
      @armijinyawa Před 27 dny +1

      I agree. While prices across refineries will be within a band, there’s no reason they’ll be same because each refinery will have its operational peculiarities.

    • @thatoneguywholovesthena-4529
      @thatoneguywholovesthena-4529 Před 27 dny

      dangote needs 650k barrels, NNPC cant supply that so he still has to get from somewhere else so what do you mean by "not imported"? nigeria has sold nigerias crude in crude oil swap years ago and now we need to pay for them all so we're in a debt trap for god knows how long. till then, there'll never be enough crude for local refineries. BUA will suffer ehn🤣

    IF NIGERIA NEEDS A LOW POMP PRICE, THEY SHOULD SELL TO THE LOCAL REFINERIES AT A SPECIAL "DISCOUNT" RATE.

  • @2naija
    @2naija Před 27 dny +1

    The analyst seems to take such serious matter as a joke or trivial. By doing that, he hides the serious issues at stake for our people. Shameful. The NNPC must get local refineries working period or leave to others can do it. Our children lives depend on these things.

    • @FrankDike-hg6kq
      @FrankDike-hg6kq Před 26 dny

      It’s not the analyst fault that you didn’t get the point, the jokes around the analysis made it clearer to the audience especially the ordinary man who doesn’t know much about oil politics . If you need a more technical analysis maybe you should watch Bloomberg TV.

    • @2naija
      @2naija Před 26 dny

      @@FrankDike-hg6kq Actually joking about something serious is taking away the communication of the seriousness of the issue or situation. If terrorist were attacking people a street away and I come to you joking about it, the fact may have been said but the gravity of the situation has been omitted. This can lead to serious consequences for you because you may miss the urgency of the situation fail to act or leave the environment or call for help. Hope I am making sense?

    I think both NNPCL and Dangote are just so in hasten to talk... I doubt if they would be able to produce pms in the next 2-3months

    It's so pathetic,unfortunate and annoying this public officials get pampered instead of hammered for failures in line of duties.wtf is mele Kyari doing as NNPC limited DG when he can make the refinery work despite the huge amount of money spent on it.
    Oooh God please give us patriotic and visionary leaders with humans sympathy 🙏🏽.
