Great video thanks. Other ones were not nearly as clear. Strange design from Ford and I can imagine the evil design engineer thinking that the hidden screw will earn extra revenue for Ford due to owners giving up and taking the car to the dealers or forcing the light unit out without removing all screws and destroying it in the process, and having to purchase a new one. With great videos like this, power is restored to the consumer.
This is insane design for items that are safety related for cars. Making the whole cluster having to come out to change a bulb and then such a crazy design in order to remove the light cluster. The 2017 model i have is slightly different and there are no visible screws to access for the cluster removal. They are hidden under a plastic cover
Theres some really bad videos out there that dont mention the other screw behind the carpet, this one does. Thank you great video
Thanks for the video. One point to add, whilst T20 will do but will be sloppy, the correct size is T25 and is a beautiful fit.
Thank You for the Video. Best video found for changing the bulb. Straight to the point.
Thank You 🙏🏽 😊
Taj you’re my hero! That plastic screw at the back was doing my head in. Thanks for the great video mate!
This is so helpful. I presume this gentleman may be running a business. He could quite easily charge for changing a lamp but instead shares his knowledge..
Thanks and yes you are correct I do run a workshop and I don’t charge customers for the bulbs because they allow me to film on their cars. So it keeps everyone happy and stuff like bulb changes I think everyone should know how to do it as it saves time and money. 😊🙏
What a gent
Thanks so much!! I would never have found the screw behind the trim. It’s like assisting a sheep during lambing!!!
Nice one Taj. I watched another video and there was no knurled nut to unscrew, just the clips, so I was tugging away and eventually realised I must be missing something. Your video covered it perfectly.
Thank you 🙏
Thanks, helped me save some money from having someone to fit it!
A few things to note for anyone out there:
- Inner screw: this has very sharp edges so you shouldn't miss it. Our car was bought brand new and first time replacing this so can be a bit tight so took a bit more force to unscrew it.
- Bulb: there are actually two options you can buy - 380 or 382. Difference is the base/pin - have a quick look around your local Halfords to see the difference. Our car is a 66 plate and needed a 382. BEWARE: I used Halfords and Amazon's number plate "matching" and both told me to get the 380 but this was obviously wrong. Might be a good idea to open the cluster first and check the current bulb you have.
My 14 plate needed a 380, so presumably they changed it somewhere between 14 and 66, but no idea when.
I couldn’t find what was holding in until you mentioned the wing nut inside. It was done up way too tight and getting the angle on it was tough. Thank you so much for the vid.
Appreciate you! Videos like this make people think I'm a mechanic, naw just watch taj
Great simple thorough video, just changed my rear brake light after watching this, even saving me time with the size of T20 screw, not having to fumble around for the right size. I had some inner clips in mine (2010 fiesta) holding the whole bulb section in but they were easy to figure out. Top man!! 💯👌
Helpful vid thanks. I got the job done. Looks like the brake light bulb needed is a "380" twin filament 12V 21W/5W. The "382" as mentioned in the vid is only a single filament 12v 21W according to what I could find.
lol thanks I just saw the video again and the box for the bulb was wrong. I’ve changed it to 380 in the description. Thanks 😊 🙏
@@TajMotorMedics , No worries, thanks for the vid, saved me a lot of time faffing about. Appreciated it.
I don't recommend putting a 382 in as I did this and as I turned the headlights on my accelerator would cut out, which eventually fried my accelerator position sensor, so please put a 380😊
Thanks for taking the time to put this up, that nut holding the lighting housing in place was my problem and your video was the only one to clearly show how to get to it!
Great to hear!
Taj, thanks for advice, the ford instruction book was useless which led me to remove a 3 panel bolts which I have now lost behind the seat panels. You saved me wasting more time trying to work its out on my own. Why do Ford make it so complicated to do simple maintenance? Thanks again.
Thanks for this, saved me paying someone to do it.
Thank you Taj. You just saved me some frustration on the other side of the globe.
Thank you, clear and simple demonstration.
Fantastic! Other videos failed to mention the two wing nuts. As some have said, it's a T25 and not a T20 but, still, thank you!
Thank you for this awesome video, managed to change both sides within 10 minutes
Fantastic! 👌🏼
I'd have never thought to find that screw inside. Really.ammoying place too!
Thanks for the video. Easy to follow. Replaced daughter's bulb in a couple of minutes!
Top job, thanks indeed. That saves me a half hour scratching around looking for the secret..
Glad to help
Just a quick msg to say thank you from Ireland you showed me how to get it done.. Sorted..
No problem 👍
The rear thumb screws were an absolute pain to get out for me. I had to use some leverage with a screwdriver just to make it turn initially and was then able to turn the screw by hand. Spent way longer just getting it unstuck. 5 minute job turned into half an hour. I made sure it wasn't turned as tight back on. Man what a pain, but glad it's done!
Thanks chaps as struggled with other videos as they don NOT identify the internal screw!! Saved me loads of time and a broken light….. just to add that the rubber grommets popped out when putting the light back in, so now searching the web for those… top for all, locate the lugs first 😉
Hi
My bulb went in my fiesta 15.tdi 2014 followed this and took me 5 mins very easy the screw in the back is very large so quite easy the bulb was 59p from euro car parts thanks for the video .top guy
Very helpful, I got the job done. 👍

Many thanks Taj, not changed my break lights before, but your video was spot on with the instructions. Keep up the good work!
Thank you 😊 happy new year 🎉
Thank you, very helpful 😊
You just saved me a bunch of money! Thanks!
Thanks for this. The Fordy manual would of had me remove all plastic trim and boot carpet to get to the interior screw!!
Terrific, explained everything in precise detail, well done that man, Happy Days
Great video, thank you. Would never have found that screw on the inside 😂
Good video, needed this for my Fiesta ST
Thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you very much she was driving me mad, cut it out and change the bulb
I think this model drives everyone mad 😅 the hidden screw kills it. Anyway thank you and I’m glad you got it done. 👍🏽💪🏽👌🏼

Very easy to follow just done it in under 5 mins, just a tip to anyone thinking of doing it but don't think they have the correct screw driver, a flat head will un do the screws too 👍

Thank you
and
Thank you!!!👍✌️
Top man, very imformative and helpful.
Thank you, pleased you mentioned the wingnut on the inside otherwise I would have tried to pry off the whole light unit - as suggested in a different video I watched!
Thanks bruh! Great help! I'm now Subscribed!
Thank you 🙏🏽
My daughter's 2017 Ford Fiesta SE hatchback only required the (2) T-20 TORX screws to be removed. There was not a huge plastic nut on the inside that needed removed. I found that out after blood and band-aids as other comments eluded to! Be careful that sheet metal has some sharp edges!
Thank you, sir!
Thank you very much for sharing.
Thanks , you help me 😊
Nice vid man 👍 really appreciate it, just had to do my brake lights. Thanks
Thanks 😊
Thank you so well explained.
Good video but some confusion over the bulb needed. I ordered the 380 as corrected per comments but the bulb needed is the 382. This was for a fiesta Red edition mk 7.5. Hope this helps
Helpful video, thanks. Had the two torx screws out and was about to force it but thought I'd better check for advice first.
Good stuff bro!!! Legend!!!
