What’s goin on everybody? Today I am excited to show you a new product from Readylift Suspensions SST lineup of lift kits. SST stands for smart suspension technology and these lift options give you a few inches of lift without modifying brake lines, wire harnesses, suspension components. However, I am installing a lift kit on a vehicle it wasn’t designed for. After reviewing the installation instructions for new generation RAV4, years 2013-2018, I believe that this kit will work on the previous 4.3 generation which encompasses years 2006-2012. I reached out to ready lift with my idea, and they immediately took interest, and sent me a lift kit for free. Now I’m going to walk you through the installation. - Jak na to + styl
Perfect pace, editing, camera angles, focus, details, and instructions..... PERFECT VIDEO..... There is still hope for our era, maybe even the next era !!!

What!?! I didn't know you did this. The RAV4 looks totally BOSS now! That father-in-law of yours seems like a smart dude. I totally want to do this on my Kia Forte.
I like this subtle lift! Looks good!
Gotta be one of the best vids I’ve watched of a mod installation!!! Thanks for sharing
Just bought a 08 Rav4 today, and this is a definite mod for mine. Thanks for this vid! You rock!
Same here just got a 09
@@BoneZoneGolf I’ll be interested in how it goes when you do it.
How did it go?
I ended up installing the Northwoods Performance 1.5in lift spacer up front and the 1in on the rear. Combined with a set of Sach struts my Rav rides smooth. I'm gonna replace the rear spacer with NWPs 1in springs in the near future
You make it look pretty easy. I have a 4th generation RAV4, and the ground clearance is atrocious. Maybe I'll try this lift.
You have helped me one step closer to my newly lifted horse i call Tory, and others call it a 2010 rav 4
It looks very nice on the road. Love it
Nice work Dude 💪,love how you used that Jack...
Completed The Ready Lift on my 2007 Rav Limited V6.
Thanks for the video brother.
C-Clamp! That's a good hack! Thanks the old man!
Great tutorial, well explained. Thanks.
Good explanation. You covered every single thing. Thanks a lot
Just letting me know that the lift kit from the post 2013 model fits our MKIII is worth it’s weight in gold. Genius! Thanks buddy, great lift
What is a MK111?
@@CreativeMechanic third generation is what he means. Third gen RAV4.
Excellent video. Thank you.
Need someone to do it for my RAV4. Looks awesome 💯
Outstanding video!
nice work dude. I think now I will try to do this with my toyota Urban cruiser
Great jack stand tip!
Looks awesome man!
Great job and vid. Looking to get a Rav4 very soon!
Very thorough. Well done b
Now you just need to add a chrome exhaust tip and this rav4 is gonna look MAD BOSS
No dude
Very Nice. Very cool ride (love that color) and great video. I would have bought new complete struts, put the spacers on and swapped whole. Be interested in how CV joints are holding up and mileage.
10k miles later no issues. The thing is CV joints are gonna go bad eventually without a lift.. if I’m replacing at 40k instead of 60k I’m ok with that
Great video. I am looking to trade in my Corolla towards a RAV4 this spring. Looking at options for customization before purchase.
That looks so sick. lol love it.
Nice job!
thanks for the video it really helpful 👌🏽👏🏽
Excellent video.
Great video that makes me want to crack on and lift mine too. Can I ask what tyres (brand & size) have you fitted. They look great 👍
I have a 2015 limited. Just may do this.
It looks awesome.
ThankYou!
Awesome video. I'd like to ask what struts and coils you use on your RAV4. Cheers
Looking good bud, very nice 😊❤👊🇬🇧
Excelente, mirando el video Hice Fabricar las Piezas en el Torno y me quedo Genial, muchas Gracias por el Video
I do know that some thread lock doesn't allow it to lock completely and be more like anti-seized. Yes, anti-seized is pretty messy, but at least you know that you won't struggle that hard when access it again. I'm pretty spoiled with power tools and my dad always tell me to hand tightened at when bolts and nuts are snug.
Did you do before/after measurements? What point a to b did you use? What size of tires? Have you measured mpg before & after?
Alabama doesn't get much rust! Looks great, currently looking for a v6, I like my 2012 rav but I could use the 3500lb tow rating of the v6.
Go for the highlander 5000lb tow rating.
V6 is the boss. I got one for my wife, and it is streets ahead of the 4 cylinder.
I have a '04 CRV but I really liked this video. Very well done!
I looked into those as well! Awesome softroader but the RAV4 could tow more! Excellent adventure vehicles CRVs can make. Plus you can turbo them if you know what you are doing
@@CreativeMechanic the v6 engine was used in a lotus and they pair it with a supercharger, I saw guy who got himself said supercharger and put it in the rav4!
This is so cool
Good job sir .
Looks dope, got me really wanting a Rav4 this year now! Did it affect your mpgs at all? If so by how much?
I love it.
Looks dope!! I just started driving and was lucky enough to get 2010 rav4 and i love it! I am planning on going with the northwoods performance lift kit, but i wanted to ask what rims and tires are those?
What would you choose for rav4 2018 the ready lift kit or eibach coils for longevity of the vehicle, and axels? And would you do the wheel alignment after installation of either?
How long is the 19mm socket to loosen nut from the rear suspension? Thanks a lot. very good the video
Finaly someone using the same tools that i do.
What size tires did you install? And what make and model are they? That thing looks sweet. My son is buying a 2012 of the same color and we're looking at doing the same thing. Thanks
Thanks.I like it. Can I ask a question? What the size for tires?
I have a cool tip right from the get go , sorry but i have to say this , when releasing wheel nuts , instead of pulling upwords and risk hurting youre back , put the wheel brace on the other side of the nut and simply stand on it , you will find it much much easier to get them off . when you pull up on them that pressure is transferd to youre body , i always try to work smart not hard ..... plus a sore back is a great way to find easy ways to do things .
Great vid. Did you just use the custom springs? From what looked like, you didn't replace those, right?
What tires and wheels do you have? Looks great!
Looks really good. Is it off road capable?
High quality tools
Hey man great video question, I have an 06 rav4 sport model. Can I install those same rims and tires without the lift?
Yes, they should fit fine
I have a 2012 RAV4 that I would love to put a little lift kit in.... think I need this kit... how much of a bigger tire could you put on after this lift kit ???
did you end up ever stacking the readylift spacers with the Northwoods kit?
👍nice!
The question that I ask myself, what are the names of the tires on that rav4, they look like a truck, do they look good, what will they be ???
Nice!!!!! I want to do my wife’s car now
where did you get your rimes i like them and how much i live in aus and tyres that you have on your rimes thay look good
muy buen trabajo!!!
Great!
Nice kit! But with all that work you could change the rubber boots from the front shock absorber...
No. Just wait and pull the whole CV
What are those spacers you installed for the cradle for?
Hello these kits are efficient. How should I get it?
Did you loose clearance moving to the Northwoods?
we've got same shoes man!!
So this "will" work on a 15 LE ?? Been wanting to do for a while. Yours looks great, nice wheel pkge.
Any info would be appreciated. Thx
Yes, confirm with Readylift if unsure. Wheels are ATX ravine 18” x 8.5 with a 35mm offset. Tires are Atturo Trailblade XT 235/60 r18
If there's any way u think 2016 Nissan rouge sport 2.5 litter have ready lift to..any suggestions where to buy if they sell on sport rogue bro
Do you have the measurements of the parts you installed?
Wow bro what a clip. Wish i can take my rav to you. 1 question tho can i still put those kind of wheels and tires on it even without a lift? Mines a 2015.
Yeah that size is only 1/2 inch taller so you shouldn’t need a lift. 235 60 r18
hi i have v6 rav4 2010 limited
like those rims and tires. can i know the brand both of them and is it possible i can put them without lift? ty in advance for your reply 😀
Hi, great vid thanks 4 sharing BTW, just wondering...how much ground clearance you gained...?
1.5 inches
@@CreativeMechanic Was that from the lift alone, or including the tires?
Tires were barely taller than stock
Nice ride! What size are your rims and tires? I’m thinking of doing a lift but I’m not sure what size tires and rims to go with?
I know this comment is a year old, but I'm also curious. From a comment below it looks like he went to 245/55R18's. He stated one inch bigger providing 1/2 of ground clearance.
What’s the difference in ground clearance before/after? Will you get more clearance simply just by putting bigger tires on it without lift kit?
Yes, but a 1 inch bigger tire will only give you 1/2 inches of clearance
could go through some snow in E lock with that clearance.
Good job I like it! What size are those tires?
Not big 235/60 R18. 1/2” bigger than stock
Hello man! Loved the video! Good content too, I love your channel! Quick question though, mind sharing where you got your rims from? Or perhaps a brand name? I'd love to buy the same ones!
American racing ATX ravine 18x8.5 35 mm offset
@@CreativeMechanic Thank you so much man! I want my rav4 to be as cool as yours, still working on it though :D Keep the videos up!
great
Like to do this to my 2010.
How's is it running now? I have 08 and wanted to rise it but I heard don't do because it cause more problem
Love the dog man.
Can you send me a link for the lift…I have a 2011 and have been considering this for awhile now!
What rims and tires are those ? I liked them for my RAV4 also
Did you notice a big difference in MPG with the lift and bigger tires?
The tires are only 1/2 inches bigger, but I lost about 2 mpg, but I’m still getting 25 on the highway so no complaints
Hola, no hablo inglés pero me gustaría que me ayudaras, tengo el kit de elevación pero necesito saber una medida,es donde va la barra estabilizadora y el amortiguador lleva una platina con dos huecos sabes la medida de largo entre hueco y hueco?
Great video tire size please and wheels !?? Iam going to do this on my thanks
Looks awesome.. I was here because of Torq Lift Fit installation.. 👍
Excelent presentation, thx.
Btw, did your mpg drop?
Not enough to care 1-2
Might’ve missed it, but aren’t the spacers made of aluminum? If so, will that not cause galvanic corrosion with the steel frame?
whats the comparison to this and the northwoods since you ran both?
What about a 2003? I just got one and would love a small lift.
I have a lift on my rav4 and the brackets for the sway bar link keeps breaking. Am on my 3rd one, Last one lasted about 10 months. And i dont take it off road. Any ideas what i can do to avoid this?
I'm curious as to how the ball and CV joints lasted and how is the ride? You're adding height on top of the strut so you are removing suspension droop to achieve the lift, but in doing so your making the ball joints and cv joints continuously operate a a more extreme angle potentially causing them to fail sooner. That's how it was in my truck when I had such a beast installed. Also, to anyone that does this, these are NOT LOADED ball joints, meaning the weight of the vehicle does not cause the ball joint to compress vs one that is loaded. This means that if the ball joint fails, it separate causing the wheel to lift away from the control arm vs a loaded one that keeps it all compressed so it will not separate. I've seen it happen a good few times so, keep an eye on your ball joints.
You mentioned when your truck had such a beast installed. Was that beast a 2" lift? Just curious... Angles are the key. There's a big difference from 4-6" lifts and a 2" lift.
Will this work good too on aftermarket Coiliver suspensions?? I own a 1st gen highlander. I Plan on buying megan racing street Coilovers from the 03 seinna application on my highlander. Then I plan on placing the lift kit spacers on top of the aftermarket coilovers...
I don’t understand why you would do this.... at all.... most of the performance handling you gain from the coil overs will be instantly negated by the lift...... but yeah. It should work fone
@@CreativeMechanic I'm building it for off road. Theres not alot of aftermarket applicaple parts for the 1st gen highlander FWD. To use stiff Coilovers to improve handling off road. I need to use a lift kit to bring the height back to standard or .5 inches high from standard height. I'm running Black rhino rumble wheels 16x7 wrapped with 255/70/16F 245/70/16R BFG K02s. I was told the 1st gen Seinna suspensions would fit on the 1st gen highlander. I know most aftermarket Coilovers are Junk. But Megan racing is a great brand. I'm suprized that they make aftermarket Coilovers for the 1st gen Seinnas. I came up with this Idea. But Thanks for the answer.
Will is work on a 2013 Rav4. If I want a 2 to 3inch lift?
no bump stop extensions with the kit?
Great video! Would this work on my 2011?
Yes
What size tires did you fit under with the lift
Good, you own some 1,5 inches. And now how do you expect to properly balance your front and rear axles so your tires be in norm and not to be like .... \ / that ?
You go to the shop and get an alignment.... easy.... child’s play... the manufacturer gives you new specs so everything is good
Do have any video lift about RAV4 2nd generation ?
