    I was diagnoised with Pericarditis in 1998 I had 2 heart surgeries the stuck needles in my heart to drain the fluid that was around my heart . Then in 2001 I had another heart operation but this time they put a cardio window in there so I would never have fluid around my heart my family and I thought that this disease was gone and the nightmare was over but its back again I'm always tired I sleep a lot with chest pains that never go away . They cant operate because there is not a lot of fluid for them to operate being sick with your heart really SUCKS!!! I hate it

      Hello Hanna its nice to meet you my doctors don't know what caused it I had my 4th heart surgery back in March of this year I'm on a pill for my heart to keep it working the way it should my heart is enlarged but it puzzles me that they don't know what caused it but at least I'm alive but I'm sick with pneumonia or bronchitis a lot during the winter but I'm praying I don't end up sick with those this year because that will trigger my heart condition then I could end up back in the hospital again . Do you have Pericarditis ? or does someone you know have it?

    Wouldn't an MI be just as likely if not more so to cause myocarditis and endocarditis since coronary artery blockage leads to muscle damage and muscle damage can lead to inflammation(in fact this microinflammation is part of how you build muscle after exercise or doing something strenuous)?

    • @DoctorsHub
      @DoctorsHub Před 7 lety +2

      Viruses and MI are the most common causes of pericarditis.

    I got pericarditis which became chronic from the gastrointestinal Coxsackie-B virus. I had an intestinal flu that was rather short-lived (turns out the Coxsackie version, one of its trademarks is that it tends to be short-lived). When I “recovered” from it I noticed I couldn’t shake off flu-type symptoms of fatigue and eventually a week later very heavy legs and body. Then eventually the symptoms bloomed from there. And I live in Canada.

      I was diagnosed with pericarditis due to the same reason. Gastrointestinal Flu. Its been 2 weeks since I was diagnosed and I dont feel the chest pains like I did but like you said, I have crazy flu symptoms. Can you tell me how long it took before you were feeling normal again with no flu symptoms?

    They found my pericarditis while I was hospitalized with covid last November. Ughhh it keeps coming back if I work out for 2 weeks. Could be a coincidence.

      I have the same issue. Only seems to come back when I work out hard. Have you found anything that helps? Thinking of going to a specialist facility in hopes of finding something

    I got pericarditis after having shingles which are herpes zoster in my right ear that took my hearing away. Another name is shingles. I have a lot of pain in my heart. I also have a leaky mitral valve. And my heart is enlarged. Waiting for my doctor to decide what to do.

      +AGAPE R I`ve got through this finally, so let me share how ive recovered after numerous horrible episodes over a year,first off all stop smoking,drinking,coffee,drugs, sugar, and stop anti inflammation drugs,instead prepare this natural anti inflammatory smoothie instead,You will need half a grapefruit ,a beetroot ,goji berries,tsp of tumeric, a sprinkle of black pepper ,tiny bit of ginger and natural cranberry juice,,make into juice and supplement with coq10 tablets,carnitine, taurine and magnesium.At around 5am in morning or 5 pm take this chinese herbal formula called "si wu tang" and add ginseng and astralagus tablets, plus you need 2 weeks bedrest , when you feel its gone and feel like dancing and running around ,avoid doing it, shock waves will retrigger it,take it easy,walk a bit but not to fast, no intense activity till 3 months later,if I can do it, so can you, its slow and depressing but you can get through it.
