Vega i think it's appropriate for you to make a video discussing your thoughts on this champ and what you think needs to be done to make this champ a fair defender. We literally have a hercules on defense now and a rebalance program created to prevent another Herc like champ from completely dominating the contest again. Instead of just giving your thoughts on a livestream make a video and be critical with Kabam, i know you love this game and many of the employees there. Please you have a massive voice here, be a big one for the community in this.

Vega these are some great counters the real issue is we are playing a game with over 250 champs and there are probably 5-8 decent counters to him. Honesty that is why he should have had a change not because he is hard but because there are so few counters and then you rely on draft rng to get one. In my opinion he makes the overall game less fun to play.
Other than the counters that Vega mentioned, Rintrah is an excellent counter. His neutralize against cosmic has 200% potency and last 6 sec. He could completely bypass Serpent's death immunity phase. White Tiger also works well, especially if she is awakened. Her power steal and power gain allows her to close out the fight. Rogue also works but she needs her sp 2 ready for the death immunity phase.

Let me give you guys some of the numbers just to understand why not nerfing Serpent was a dump move: Serpents Death Immunity grants 10% of a Bar of Power every second per Dread consumed. Wich equals to 30% of a Bar of Power every second. His Base Power Gain Buff grants him around 75% of a Bar of Power over 8 seconds. Which equals 9.4% of a Bar of Power every second. If you add these two plus the Power Gain Buff from Special 2, he gains around 50% of a Bar of Power every second for 8 seconds straight!!!!!! To put that into perspective, The Destroyer only gains 40% of a Bar of Power per second via his Massive Power Gain!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
They dropped the ball hard on this decision. Really disappointing that they’ve kept him as a champion that requires a mixture of a counter and AI RNG luck with skill being the lowest ask in defeating him.
Mojo was my favorite counter for Serpent in the X Magica war season. He isn’t fast, but reducing all buff duration is a unique utility that’s a big help. I expected either the death power gain or death regen to get tuned down, or limit his death immunity on defense to 1 fight like Fury’s 2nd life. That repeated death regen in war is about as bad as what they removed from Abs Man in his rebalance.
What about fights that it didn’t work with these same champions? Are those failures more than the successful ones or vice versa. Or they always work? In a case as this where you have about 80% if not more of the community complaining, we need more context than showing some successful clips. I’ve seen other CC show horrible performance with these attackers yet they did everything right.
Vega you didn’t showcase the absolute best counter to serpent….Luke cage. Luke can counter everything scary that serpent does. All the exhaustion debuffs will help mitigate regeneration from despair mastery, it reduces all his various power gain by 1/2, it reduces his critical hits and it reduces his high crit resistance to zero allow Luke to do big crit hits and get through the fight quicker. Luke has top 10 block proficiency with his sig ability to take alot of block damage. His indestructible can help with unblockable specials or tanking a sp3. His concussion from sp2 prevents most of his buffs like power gain and immortality from triggering. You can also dex his specials and they are no longer unblockable when the concussion is up. Tell me another champion that can counter what serpent does better than Luke cage. He destroys him in battlegrounds in under 60secs every time.
My Favorite champ is Safe Yippie 😊. Although I was okay with him getting a mild defensive nerf I was just talking to DLL about this last night and he said he had things built into his kit that he could tune down but this was shocking. 😊
If serpent is a balanced defender then kabam can release more "balanced" defenders just like him. The problem of bs defenders needs to be dealt with or there will be too many to ban

I think the big difference here is a defender will never dominate the contest like an attacker (Herc) can. Apples and oranges comparison IMO.

I mean they put Herc immortality in check by let him be ko by SP3, why the hell they didn’t put something like that on him
I have also seen people get some good results with Spidey Supreme, Black Widow Claire Voyant, and Rintrah

The best counter is to ban him every time you see him which is what I’ll be doing for a long time.
How does holding onto the striker to eat up his immortality work? I’ve heard it mention during the fintech and Andrew match.
Best counter to Serpent is have your own serpent mutual assured destruction…and ban him in Battlegrounds
BWCV should be able to always prevent his immortality as she casts buff immunity with SP2

Good video but fighting a sepant in war with nodes is way harder than a battle grounds fight. Need to see some actual war fights please

Serpent has been my downfall in war. He's always places in lane 1 where u can use energy damage champs.
