In the 1980s I worked in a Ford Dealership and one of our mechanics was from Yorkshire, he was a young version of all those wonderful characters rolled into one , we had our very own Last of the Summer Wine in the East End of London. Such fun and laughter all day long .
Great British comedy for ever in my dreams 🤣 😆 all of them missed greatly
This was a great show. I laugh every time I watch it no matter how many times I do. Great acting. They looked like they really enjoyed making the show. To have such wonderful actors with so many years in the business, it’s just amazing.
I could watch these over and over, great comedy and brings laughter. I would like to have it brought back to public television on PBS. Same as Are you Being Served and Waiting on God.
I've watched this show for years and I still love and will continue to watch whenever I can.
I wish I was born and brought up there during those times. Peaceful, beautiful sceneries, genuine friends and less temptations. I'm from Asia.
Clever man who wrote this and many other sit coms, he wrote one line and every member of the cast said that line at least 6 times each .
As an American, this was always one of my all time shows. That and the Red Green show.
omg love the red green show. grew up watching that with my dad. so much nostalgia. keep meaning to check out their podcast.
This was so smoothly done one would think that it's real life in the burb. You can't help but love these folks and the characters they play. A slice of life the way it should be.

Gotta love this programme
....LOL!!!! that opening dance number was hilarious!!!
Just hearing the music tears me up..missing my mama when we watched together..
This used to be Sunday early evenings. I rarely actually watched it but the music and canned laughter was soothing. At least I think it was Sunday.
واہ بہت اچھا پروگرام ہے. What an awesome program. Thanks for uploading it.
Probably my Dad's favorite show.
I even like the music so relaxing.
The music feels like a decompression of all the crap in the world

You're a wonder man! I don't think she inspires that reaction in most! Which isn't to say I don't appreciate her just in small doses.
@Thomas Singletary
I so love this series. Thank you very much for sharing and friendly greetings from Slovenia :)))
This series is what is needed for the current times, I just happened on it and it’s non stop laughter, my eyes are running water. Stay smiling people.
Hello how are you doing today??👋👋
thank you much appreciate
brilliant canon and ball and a load more oldies xxx
Absolutely bloody love this comedy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Do you sub to ‘ morgoths review ‘
It’s brilliant that such an ensemble cast was put together which includes so many comedy greats!
i love the last of the summer wine
Welcome to the (very large) fellowship.
What I love is the retired guys, ( Truly and the boys), get into the same kinda stuff teenage boys do. I can't remember the name of the hunched over fella that works for the lady at the shop, but, man he so good. I miss living in the country, I want to move there in those rolling hills of the British countryside. This show lasted over 30 seasons didn't it? I've seen Frank Thorton on are you being served and love him even more on this show. Why watch the crap on T.V. now when you can watch this.....pure Gold!!
Great show
Hello how are you??
I love this show wish I could find it on tv again
I found it through Drama a year ago
I wish I had a granddad like Alvin!
I wish they would bring the show back on pbs
This is awesome
Enjoyed swan episode
barry needs a new banister lol great laughts
My dad likes this series, even though he doesn’t speak English. I think he understands the characters’ speech better than I do. Sometimes I have to turn on the subtitles. Especially the earlier seasons with the lovable little guy who had a crush on Nora Batty.
That was Bill Owen who played Compo.
Yes, his accent was a bit thick! I have the easiest time understanding Frank Thornton, but then I'd heard him on Are You Being Served, as Capt Peacock for so long...
That's because the actor Bill Owen portrayed Compo as someone who spoke a now very rare northern dialect. BILL OWEN DID *NOT* TALK THAT WAY "NORMALLY" off set. Clegg played by Peter Sallis also uses a dialect. He does the voice for Wallace in the "Wallace and Gromit" series. Frank Thornton, "Truly of The Yard' played captain Peacock on Are You Being Served' and sounded completely different so different most people don't recognize him. The few appearances of Barry's boss are portrayed by Trevor Bannister who played Mr. Lucas on AYBS and he's *barely* recognizable.
This is the funnyest episode yet.
Like like last summer wine.
Thank You very much, my father mother got me watching this it's been 8 years now and I still haven't seen the beginning one or the end does
Anyone know where I can buy the complete DVD set
Seeing the beginning or end isn't easy to do, it ran for 20 years!
Charlie Brooks on Amazon but you need a Region 2 (UK/Europe/Africa/Asia) DVD Player which you can also get on Amazon. The series lasted almost 30 years so it’s a lot of DVDs

You can always move here. It’s three episodes a day. When all 27 years end. They start again. My dad has his afternoon tea to start and makes his evening meal when it ends. An can probably repeat all the lines.
@@garygalt4146 This went for 27 years? Had no idea it ran that long.
Yup, all we can buy are "Best of" years. I got a set once with 13-14 seasons and thought I had them all😓. Very disappointing.
Brian Wilde was good but I also liked the way Michael Bates would get 'apoplopectic".
Bill Owen, of course, but my all time favorite was Peter Sallis.
Where's Series 20 to 25? I can't believe CZcams doesn't have them but yet has all the rest.
Hey that's... Captain Peacock! :o)
This and Dads army all the way.
I actually had to do that line dance in middle school 🤦🏼♀️
Good for everyone.👍
Lol old alivin reminds me of compo and just as daft
P.S. Howard & Marina. 70+ teeny boppers.
Ah! Duck tape.Always keep a roll on hand.
Hello how are you doing 👋👋👋👋
It would have been nice if the writers gave Howard a real headache by giving Pearl (rest in peace lovely lady) a male admirer. Howard got away with too much.
So true
Interesting, how no flies ever seem to come inside Clegg's home when Howard leaves the door (or a part of it) open...!
This is one of my favorite comedy.. I love the theme song, i love all the characters, even the area where the scenes are shot..

Never saw this before. OMG Captain Peacock, the Inspector, George Roper, Delphine!
Plus ol' Blakey from "On The Buses". Cor, the ol' bugger looks 100...
Also Elizabeth from “mrs. Bucket”!!
In real life there was a lot of big age gaps between the married couples for instance Thora was born in 1911 and gordon who played her husband wesley was born in 1933 so she was 22 years older and sarah thomas who played their daughter was born in 1952 so thora would be 41 when she was born and gorden just 18 as sarah was born before gorden turned 19 and joe gladwin was 22 years older than kathy staff who playes hes mrs.
The one guy looks and sounds like Mr Peacock on are you being served
In memory off ...
2:29 Its Wallace!
Another of the greats that needs to come back is Hyacinth Buquet and Are you being served.

So do I-they kind of flirt with each other
@@eepanusstar5940 From the States--I think they'd make half of a cute couple. Nora will never be cute. Never in a million years except possibly in the British sense of "shrewd," Alvin is more "cute" in the American sense of endearing.

Come at me with a stick would ya. Funny stuff but to much can laughter.
At first it was ok but it got to be more and more and louder than it should've been. That stuff can and will ruin a good show. Not every line is that funny or even funny at all. There is a limit and lots of shows cross that limit abundantly.
In 2010 im shocked British still kept old standards especially Frank Thornton.

Hello 👋 how are you doing today
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
