Turning logs into dimensional lumber with a bandsaw sawmill. This Mixon Sawmill seems to be as rare as hen's teeth. The owner got it from the middle of a hayfield, and once getting it, naturally, had to do some repairs, restorations and modifications. He had to swap the motor for a Predator Engine from Harbor Freight. Still working out all the kinks, but for the most part, its sawing logs with the best of them. Really cool! How much do you expect the thickness of one of those boards to shrink during the drying process?

Up to around 4% if let completely dry, but he does allow for that by cutting them oversized!
