For all of you complaining that Eleanor is "too fat" or just "fat" in general. please kindly shut up. Eleanor is written as a plus size girl, and yes it would be a huge and utter and heartbreaking disappointment if a movie did come out and she was played as a skinny girl or just one who's maybe pulling average but still pronounced as skinny. This book is supposed too give more bigger or average looking girls the sense that not every girl in a movie has too be in perfect shape with flawless skin and perfect hair to have someone find you beautiful, and eventually fall in love. Because believe me, that is not true, far from it. Mannequins may be all the same size but we, are not. So yes she's bigger, yes she doesn't have perfect skin. But that doesn't mean that that girl isn't still beautiful. It's how she was written and it's about time a movie like this finally came out.

Hey guys, I play eleanor in this trailer and I have some stuff to tell you guys. First of all, this is not the movie trailer and it was not for school it was for the national library program, yalsa, it was part of a contest. Second, I was completely in charge of planning everything for this video and we got it done in a month, my friend who plays park is actually half Korean and this was the first time he has ever acted and I thought he did a wonderful job. He didn't have time to grow his hair out or get colored contacts, or grow a couple inches so calm down. 3rd, I agreed to make this trailer before I read the book, and from the synopsis I cast myself as eleanor but as I read I didn't see me either, I too thought I was too fat. However, everyone always says, "you're your worst critic." Yeah, I thought that was the case until I read these comments. I know I'm obese you don't have to tell me. Some of these comments haunt me everyday and even more so they were what kick started my depression. I have thought about killing myself because of something you typed mindlessly. The ones that hurt me most are the ones that critique my acting. I am an actress and i work hard, I would like to peruse it as a career, but these comments make me question that. This has been a psa please stop the hate. I told myself that after a while I would stop caring, but I still do, please stop.

I've watched several fan made trailers for Eleanor and Park here on CZcams, and I always keep coming back to this one. I definitely agree with the comments saying you'd be perfect to play Eleanor in a full length version of this movie, and I also think you and the actor playing Park had a very real and sweet connection. Please don't let the haters get to you. I enjoyed what you did, and I hope that you'll see this comment one day. Keep doing what you're doing. :)

I think she is the perfect eleanor... In the movie they will put a really skinny girl who will think that she is fat... But the book say that Eleanor is FAT so she hasn't to be skinny...
They did mention that Eleanor was fat, but she wasn't that fat and in fact, when park's dad saw her he thought she was fatter because they called her Big Red.
The author of Eleanor and Park already said in an interview that she didn't want Eleanor to be portrayed as skinny. She also said that she told the directors this in advance. And Eleanor wasn't fat in the book. She was a bit heavy, sure, but even Park's dad said he expected her to be bigger.
Personally I would have imagined more items on the shirt. Also a calmer voice as pronounced in the book. And the hair wasn't as curly as described. But otherwise I agree😀
eleanor is perfect, but that guy looks nothing like park. there are lots of hapa folks who look white, so I'm not saying there's no way this kid could be half, but park is repeatedly described in the book as looking very Korean.

I finished this book in two days, it was amazing but it totally broke my heart and Eleanor was pissing me off bc he wouldn't write to park and omg the feels.😭😭

Eleanor NEVER smiled and nodded her head so happily to the music. I'm sorry that just REALLY bothered me. She was distant and I think that's what drew Park in. I have a bit of a headcanon that Park and his dad are alike in a sense that they both fall in love with women they wanted to shelter from the world.
The book didn't describe Eleanor as timid. Her responses were always firm and she always held her head high. Other than the personality, she is how I imagined Eleanor :)
I do not understand all these negative and hurtful comments towards the kids here. This was a school project, these are not professional actors. I think everyone did a great job.

I thought that since this person, @Eleanor Goddard, had ginger hair and shared the same name as the character, I thought it would be “cool” to know that both the character and person share the same body type bc then Eleanor G would kinda be the real life Eleanor from the book. This was pretty accurate, minus the fact that Park didn't look Asian and Eleanor had no ties. Overall though; pretty good! Can't wait for the actual movie to start filming in 2015.

The acting was very nice I liked it in the book it seems that things are slower (example: in the book it says that Eleanor sits on the bench only after Parker said "damn it" there I don't know it seems like it was faster) I hope one day they release one movie about this book because it's amazing if you were to do it I'm sure it would be very good. 😁🤍

Okay um, just gonna be completely honest, this was portrayed terribly. Tina is like 11 and who knows what's up with Steve? I thought he was supposed to be this big, burly guy. Eleanor was more of an outgoing dresser, and she was a lot more rude to Tina. Plus, I don't even think Park was Asian..
She wasn't rude too Tina at all, she just tried to stay out of her way. Tina wasn't 11 she was 16, they were all 16 and Park was Asian. Half Asian. His mum was Korean. Did you even pay attention to the book at all? She was quite more of an outgoing dresser though, you're right about that.

Park's father is tall and masculine while his mother is short and girly, the book makes it clear he takes after his mother more than his father, his brother got all his father's genes.
