- I wasn't expecting this in Matunguinao Samar.
To be honest, just like most of us here. Whenever I hear this place, what comes into my mind is the conflict between the Military and Rebels here in Samar. Matuguinao is the place where I never thought of entering before. I knew nothing but the stronghold of a rebel.
But when I joined Trexplore, I was proven wrong. I did not expect this place to be so beautiful. This place is very peaceful. Contrary to what I hear and see in the news. The AFP is everywhere ensuring the safety of the people.

Matuguinao is a 5th class municipality in the province of Samar, Philippines. It is called the heart of the Samar since it is located in the center of the Island. It is politically subdivided into 20 Barangays. One of its largest Brgy is the Barruz in which the longest cave (Sulpan Cave) of the Philippines is situated. The Cave system reaches up to 32km long including all the junctions. Most of the parts are an underwater cave system that can be accessed through scuba diving. This has been explored by the Italian team in the year 2015 and 2017. The exploration is not even done. So the team is planning to come back early this year 2021 according to the Matuguinao tourism office. bit.ly/3epmaGo
Matuguinao is now one of my favorite places in Samar. I will share on my CZcams vlog all of my experiences of this place.
