Makes sense to me. The original Mario was horizontal. Then you got diagonal Mario. So the only logical conclusion is now a vertical Mario.

Thats pretty Interesting concept, always in the danger of falling completely down when you screw up. A bit like a mini "getting over it"
Reminded me of getting over it as well, but with Mario...and tilted familiar stages. More up my alley... xD

Forgot to mention in my last comment that I would absolutely love to see more episodes of this crazy game.
Man I know Darby isnât gonna see this. But if he does I recommend playing a game called Bug Fables. Itâs a indie Paper Mario basically, so itâs not really Darbyâs thing. So Oof.
Damn, this is so creative. Need to get back and finish my pack for this game (it's a classic mario pack though, doesn't use portals).
I usually prefer the packs that don't use the portal gun, but this one made the portal gun really fun.

I struggled a little figuring out how to upload my levels on that game.. I made a whole world, music and a few custom backgrounds.
I'd planned to buy mario maker 2 but then lockdown happened and console prices skyrocketed.. much like infection rates :p
I really want to play around with mario universe but meh, I guess I'll have to wait.
(Your mario universe videos are great btw, I understand why people get upset but personally I prefer to at least see someone enjoying it rather than see nothing at all.. I get betas can be kinda annoying when you can't get in.. I'd love an invite but there's plenty of other mario games to pick and choose from :) )

This makes it more of a challenge or puzzle with the portal gun
I was hoping Bowser would fall on your head from above in 1-4, but nope. He doesn't even shoot any fire at you from where he is in the lava, so climbing past him is easy peasy. Also, it's strange that there was a goal sphere at the start of 2-1, letting you skip it entirely and go straight to the water level 2-2.
