I want to point out the most fun timesaver I saw this. Very old school.
Put away the tape measure and just approximate it. "I am going to cast fireball here, this area" "I am going to move here and get behind cause fast 40 ft"

As somebody with about 15 years of experience myself, you are my favorite roleplay educator on the internet because you often talk about topics that are relevant to beginners and experts alike, instead of just catering to popular topics that are only relevant to beginners.
Going to be very fun to learn not just from what you want to talk about, but also from watching you run games!

This was great, and the players all seem very good with very interesting characters. I would also be interested in the Review session you mentioned at the start.
I have a flash-forward framing device in my campaign, but I never thought to make it playable. A neat idea indeed. Allows players to experience playing at stupid-high level (great!), but then dumb back down to level 5 (oh no!). I like it - which means I may steal it 😀
All joking aside, I really enjoyed this and hope to see lots more. I have been watching your content for years now and have learned a lot. Great work!
Love the story and it is generating a lot of ideas for me re the start of my next campaign. I would love a separate after action report type video where you go through your process re creating the story, encounter and decisions you made etc.

Fun start. Like the future first approach. Best start from Great GM since Descent into Avernus, in my opinion. Good participants, but tell the Barbarian to do her homework. The forward skeleton of a horse is similar to the upper skeleton of a human, complete with scapula (Sorry. No second pelvis). Like the camera setup.
Alas, life was very busy in the run up to the session, but don't worry - I let Guy and the rest of the cast know I wouldn't have time to make a level 15 version of Georgie and I wasn't made aware that would be a problem.
It was quite the shock and surprise that we were about to play those characters! But life happens, we adapt, so long as we have fun rolling dice and exploring an exciting story that's the main thing 😊

After rewatching: Even tho there were many instances, there are some things I'd like to point out as great "positives".
When guy rolls the dice over the battlefield by mistake, HE REWARDS hie players with inspiration dice! Bravo sir!
When a player remembers to roll a concentration check, Guy rewards that player while admitting this was something the DM should have reminded the player to do. (No its not but Guy, being a humble DM takes the responsibility upon himself.) This creates trust at the table & enhances the experience for the players.
Just wonderful. 🫡 sir.
Great first episode. I enjoyed the character concepts and RP. Looking forward to seeing how you DM. Only downside is that the sound is a bit off but I'll definitely watch next week 👍
I am really surprised by how much i love all the player characters here?! When watching other groups like Critical Role or Dimension 20 I find myself taking an instant dislike to characters but I am really impressed by how interesting and thought out ALL the PCs are here. So excited to continue following their adventure!

@@HowtobeaGreatGM I would like to add that "holm" is an old Danish word that is no longer in normal use and it means island, little island, or sometimes even hill.
You can find it in island names like Saltholm, Bornholm and Lindholm.

@@HowtobeaGreatGM Love this response. Great group here for sure. I do get the comment here also though. I have not run dnd in years now, so this was nostalgic. The realization that a single round can take 22 minutes blows my mind now. It was fun to watch, great players, great story, but I had just forgot how the inflated numbers and initiative arranging just take so much time.
