This week on The Border Corner, we take a look at my Border Canaries enjoying their baths, have a look at the new Fifes and discuss the issues I have had so far this breeding season.
That's great to know - thanks David!! I'm quite encouraged that I might get some youngsters from the eggs from those hens the cocks have mated now. Thank you for messaging me 👍👍
Thanks for the update, we all have good and bad starts to our seasons. I have been doing it for years, and it still happens if we could just put our finger on the problems, one year I had 32 young from 4 pairs, the next year the same 4 pairs and only 2 young, I suppose that's bird keeping 😊
Hey Glynn. Wow 32 youngsters from 4 pairs!! That was a helluva season!! Thanks for your comments - I hope the bad start picks up sometime soon. Hope everything is well in your birdroom? Andy

Hey Kieran. Many thanks for your message - really appreciate you taking the time. It’s rough when you’re learning is t it? And you’re so desperate to breed some good youngsters it feels like a kick when it doesn’t go your way. Keep my fingers crossed for you for the rest of this season mate! 👍🤞
Really wonderful show ,great information and insight as usual. enjoyed looking at cage 22 with that chap sticking his head out . Looking forward to next show.
Andy, you mentioned about the cocks, putting their head back and trembling, this is a sign that they have mated properly.
