There is something wrong …. You do not need letter of employment to apply for PGWP and to renew your spouse work permit ….. they do not ask about it in the application. As long as you studied and graduated you can get your PGWP and you easily renew your spouse work permit.
It seems we have to submit the letter of employment as mentioned. Some of my friends who have not submitted it when applying along with spouse, got rejection for their spouse. You can add docs in webform, if you have already submitted the application

Hello! Congrats on your PGWP. We waited for our PGWP before applying for EE. We skipped the TRV application since we weren't planning to travel while still waiting for PR.

Hello. I suggest you submit your pgwp first and when you have the full time job, you can apply for the SOWP. Just make sure that you will submit SOWP’s application before the current permit expires.
Hi, my spouse has received an extension of her open work permit and now we have to apply for a TRV extension. There is a question in the questionnaire - "What does your family member want to do in Canada?" Options: 1. Apply for or extend an open work permit 2. Stay as a visitor. I am thinking I select option 1 as it is more apt, but can you share your views? Ideally, the option should say "Work" but there's no such option.

Hello. I answered no to the question- do you have a job offer? I assumed that it was a LMIA or closed work permit. I could be wrong but that’s what I did.

My question is, if the current renewal is given to us until July 2024, but his classes end in April 2024, does that mean that I, with an OWP as his dependent, should also stop working? I think the "stop working" issue is a different interpretation of rules from different people since there is no law that states that, it makes no sense to have a valid permit until X date and stop working in X-1

In the application, there's a question that asks, "Do you want to submit an application for a family member?" Should I answer "YES" or "NO" to this question?
Hello. Your husband’s open work permit should follow your expiry. I wonder why his is longer than yours. You can select “Yes” if you want to include him to your extension. “No” if you want to leave his expiry as is (2025)
Hiii We just have 3 months remaining on our visa while my wife completion letter has not arrive yet !!! Once she gets her paper work from the college we will be applying for her PGWP and for me it’s Open work permit same like yours !! But the problem is as you said it took 5 months for you to get the pgwp!!! Hi. You have a very interesting question. Ircc hasn’t announced any restrictions for PGWP holders in sponsoring spouses. I would assume that you can apply for your SOWP but it’s better to consult an immigration lawyer or consultant to be sure.

Hi. I noticed last year that many people with sponsored spouse or common-law partner visas got approved even if the principal applicant didn't have a job listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC). But there are a few who got refused. I think it's up to the immigration officer handling your case. To play it safe, it's probably better for the principal applicant to have a job listed in the NOC to increase the chances of approval. That's just my opinion.

Hi. Yes, you can use your former gckey. All the info you need for your work permit is on your existing study permit so you won’t need the account that was created by the agency.

Hindi po automatic na mabibigyan c OWP ng extension. May mga policies dn po na need sundin para maapprove c OWP pag nagapply na ng PGWP c Student. Now I am applying for PGWP, but there are these questions that says, "Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?" and "Have you submitted a permanent resident application in Canada?" shall I answer YES to these questions or NO? @@ihekennenna3113 Hello. When we applied, students needed a job under TEER 0-3 to extend their dependents. This changed last year, but I’m not sure if it’s still in effect. I've also heard of students taking jobs under TEER 0-3 to reduce the risk of their dependents being refused.

@@theenaperalta2529 yes, recent payslips talaga ung needed and required na may job ka to extend your sowp. Pwede ka mauna muna magapply ng pgwp then if complete na ung docs mo, saka mo apply si sowp pero need nya magapply before magexpire ung permit nya.

It's been around 3 months, and I am still waiting for an update on the extension. My course was completed a week ago, and I am waiting for the final grades. I have a question: If I can somehow arrange the course completion letter and transcript from my university before April 30th, can I apply alone for a PGWP with my existing study permit since I have already applied for an extension? Then will contiue to employ me..... it seems quite complicated if ask HR to issue this letter. May have your comments to make it simple and easy?

Hi! Thanks for another excellent video! My partner finishes his program next year in April 2024. We are renewing our permits now, and on April 2024 he will apply for the PGWP. My question is, if the current renewal is given to us until July 2024, but his classes end in April 2024, does that mean that I, with an OWP as his dependent, should also stop working? Firstly, Can I continue to work at the company without any break? Second, I just have to say YES in the field "Is your work essential part of your studies"? and Lastly, Can I submit the job offer letter which I received at the start of the coop (Because in my case I received the full time offer at the time of coop)?
I think the "stop working" issue is a different interpretation of rules from different people since there is no law that states that, it makes no sense to have a valid permit until X date and stop working in X-1

Hello. Your husband’s open work permit should follow your expiry. I wonder why his is longer than yours.
You can select “Yes” if you want to include him to your extension. “No” if you want to leave his expiry as is (2025)

Hi. You have a very interesting question. Ircc hasn’t announced any restrictions for PGWP holders in sponsoring spouses. I would assume that you can apply for your SOWP but it’s better to consult an immigration lawyer or consultant to be sure.

Hi. I noticed last year that many people with sponsored spouse or common-law partner visas got approved even if the principal applicant didn't have a job listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC). But there are a few who got refused. I think it's up to the immigration officer handling your case. To play it safe, it's probably better for the principal applicant to have a job listed in the NOC to increase the chances of approval. That's just my opinion.

Now I have to apply for work permit so I can I use my former GC key as I don’t have any details about the latter one.
Hi. Yes, you can use your former gckey. All the info you need for your work permit is on your existing study permit so you won’t need the account that was created by the agency.

May mga policies dn po na need sundin para maapprove c OWP pag nagapply na ng PGWP c Student. Meron pong mga cases na approved ang PGWP pero refused ang OWP if d nasunod ung mga policies.

@@jilianabraham5341 Hi. You can apply without a job offer (for the student). However, your owp application might get refused. I know some people who don’t have a job as student who applied together with owp and owp visa got refused. It’s up to you if you want to take that risk.

@@ihekennenna3113 Hello. When we applied, students needed a job under TEER 0-3 to extend their dependents. This changed last year, but I’m not sure if it’s still in effect. I've also heard of students taking jobs under TEER 0-3 to reduce the risk of their dependents being refused.

It's been around 3 months, and I am still waiting for an update on the extension. My course was completed a week ago, and I am waiting for the final grades. I have a question: If I can somehow arrange the course completion letter and transcript from my university before April 30th, can I apply alone for a PGWP with my existing study permit since I have already applied for an extension?
