Thanks for not talking crap about this little backhoe! She's done you more then $2000 worth of work! Glad this turned out to be a positive review of this little backhoe! I love these little things!
They usually just bend a little, anything more that they brake. In this case, it the rod metal that is not as hard (poor quality) that allows it to first bend easyer, and second do a 180. A good quality one would take the abused, until it shatter the rod.
I looked at these and decided on a used Kubota U17. Payed more and I got more . I got mine with 1400 hours and had to do some maintenance shortly after buying it. I can schedule maintenance I can't schedule a breakdown . The 1500 service was a good Saturday project
I’ve did the exact same thing to the exact same cylinder and also tore a leg apart. I’ve deconstructed the bucket within the first week. I did this all a decade ago. I see they have the same problems. Oh I also snapped the crap out of the pin that holds the dipper arm.
Love harbor freight but wirh this one its not to much power its bad design and cheap parts. My bestco towable backhoe has been ran throw the ringer and put up wet but has never broke like that. I seen this same fail over and over with the harbor freight on. Got to be design or parts problem.
Dang that's super bent never seen one like that before lol my question is what were you doing when you made it bend so dramatically and how did it happen? As in what was the actual mistake made? Just curious because I found this video while looking up the machine because I am potentially interested in one I am a plumber by trade and that thing could save some back breaking labor if it's a decent machine.
These are junk. Just rent a small kubota (NOT a shit BX series) when you need to. A Kubota B2650 will do in a solid week what that thing will do in like 2 years

@@DOWNTOWN_AUDIO yea this has saved me from using a shovel! I also love it
That had to have taken some serious monkey brains to bend a cylinder like that.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
that’s a shop trophy!
@@rusticrangebear372 soooo true!
How tf did u manage that 😂😂😂 thats impressive
That’s a wall hanger there
Thats for cutting in around corners
Lol!!!
How did you manage that?! My dad and i also have one of those HF backhoes...loading onto a trailer is such a hastle...

@@djkilpatrick5256 yep!
Holy shit! I've never seen a ram that bent!
Right!

Question:
Is there any way to adjust the hydraulic system so it won't have quite so much pressure? Better than breaking or bending something. 😱
.
@@DD-uf2uo not that I am aware of. This issue is 100% my fault. Pushing the machine way too hard… I’m learning! Ha ha

I did the exact same thing! Snapped a leg on one side as well. Not to happy with mine for the money spent.
Well nice to know that I am not alone!!

Yeah...... There really are a lot of things id buy at harbor freight, i love that store, but nothing even close to that big ticket.
Sure looks like renting a backhoe or a mini ex would be the way to go. Those bumper pulled backhoes look like a waste of time and money.

I was digging out a tree stump and when the machine started to make cranking weird noises I ignored it and pushed forward.
O ok that's reasonable enough. It seems like a good little machine I'm definitely going to have to get me one thank you for the video and the feedback
Whoever did the framing around that door needs to put down the hammer and step away…..
Is it the double wall you don’t like?

That would have snapped. Not buying it
This. No way that happened on accident. It would have pinched, not curved perfectly. Is anything on the internet real any more?
Wrong cylinder
You are saying factory put on the wrong cylinder?
Looks like u dont know when to stop
