    Hi Drew,
    as always, this was a great video to watch and evaluate my own way of doing things on the wing. Even after so many years of engineering (starting analog in the 90´s) I still love to improve my workflow and stay open minded for alternative approaches to set up my mix on the wing now. To make it short: You not only give good and profound advice , but also (due to your humble and easy going way of explaining) always give me a happy smile in my face. Thanks for all your work and effort in creating this content, Drew!

    Always enjoy the long videos! I have still not mixed on a wing yet, but the comp stuff looks really nice to be able to add those into any channel!

    Great video thank you for sharing, made a huge difference on this recording after you begin trimming instruments signals to appropriate sound levels, I was impressed with end results of vocals and overall mix 👏👏👏👏

    What you did to dial in compression with high ratio and lots of gain reduction was smart. Gonna start using that method to dial in compression!

    Drew please make a video about the scenes and snapshots management on the Wing! I want to save an EQ to recall to other sessions and channels like in the snippets on the X32! I really need this! Thanks!

    Thank you Drew, the video was very helpful.
    can you also do a video on how to add tracks to the Behringer Wings, thanks.

    Always good content Drew.
    Your vid just amplifies my frustrations with screen based mixers though.
    Screens don’t pick up finger taps on a lot of occasions so you have to tap twice or three times for a response.
    Slows workflow. I even saw you subconsciously go to the knob when the screen wasn’t responding.

    Hi drew, thanks a lot for all the videos and resources you provide on this channel. Please is there anyway we can get worship service multitracks from you to practice mixing for church, I’ve searched all over the internet and it seems very difficult to come across. I would be really glad if it’s possible. Thanks once again 🙏

    Very cool, you asked in another vid for new video ideas .. #drew I'm really keen to see a video on using midid for automation of the winf ( both ways ) .. this is particularly usefull for dawless producers with the wing

    Hi Drew, just wondering, when you select a channel, and go to the "channel input" screen, why is that you don't have a gain control on the bottom left corner like I do? I have gain and trim available for each channel. Thanks for your video.

    Salamat! (thank you) im hopin to mix with such great console this year.. Yeah its quite expensive afterall its worth it. Like M32-L/R and X32

    Hi. Greit Video Drew. There’s a lot of great tips on the functionality of this console. I am however a bit curious. You use a lot of time setting the envelope for the compressors on the drums, yet you don’t turn off the Auto Envelope. Doesn’t that eliminate your settings? 29:17

    Great Video Drew. I was wondering why you didn't add any plate reverb to the lead vocal as it sounded a bit too forward to me. I know that it is a busy mix though, so maybe that is the answer.

    This is all wonderfull. I can't imagine a live situation where you will build up a mix like this, or you have actual records from a band, before any show mixed on that board. Am I wrong?🤔

    • @danielpghe
      @danielpghe Před rokem +2

      before any live session should be at least one rehearsal, you can record that.

    • @tythesoundguy
      @tythesoundguy Před rokem +2

      Howdy! It's becoming more common to either A: multitrack record rehearsals/pre-production, B: multitrack every show you do with the band or C: be provided previous multitracks from shows you did not do. I would say 70-80% of the gigs/tours I've done in the past two years I've had access to multitracks to build a mix before hand and do a virtual soundcheck on the day of the show. Happy mixing!

    Hi. sorry if this is a stupid question but is the Behringer Wing a 48 channel mixer or 64 channel? cause at 1:27 I see 64 but whenever you check an ad or you're about to buy the mixer online it will say "Behringer WING 48-channel Digital Mixer"

  • @KGTv123

    Drew’s videos are very helpful. I’m just very confused by a few things in this one. At points he’s using the low cut and EQ, but when doing the vocals, it doesn’t look like he engages the ON button, but I still hear a difference. Then when he moves to the kick drum the EQ is yellow and in the ON position and I also hear a difference when he boosts. So what is the actual correct position to engage the EQ? Thanks

    • @PhilofPhil
      @PhilofPhil Před 9 měsíci

      @KGTv123 The actual position to engage EQ is when you want to make adjustments to the EQ.
      On the vocals channels; He activates the low cut filter and then magnifies the EQ section so you can see the exact frequency and how much low cut is being dialed in, this doesn't require you turning 'ON' the EQ section. However on the drums; after activating the low cut filter and magnifying the EQ section, he turns 'ON' the EQ section and then adds EQ to the channels.
      Low cut/ High cut once activated work regardless of your EQ section being turned ON.

    In this mix your background vocals af full volume sounded like background. Gow did you accomplish keeping them behind the lead vocalist?
