Episode 43 - Episode 45 Notes: (Ill Repost this on EP 44 and EP 45)
Events between Battle of Badr and Battle of Uhud
The Invasion & Expulsion of Banu Qaynuqa
This occurred 3 weeks after the Battle of Badr, the largest Yahud tribe in Medina called the Banu Qaynuqa began expressing their anger at the Quraysh’s defeat at Badr. This led up to an exchange where a Muslim man was killed by the Yahud, for killing a Yaudi man, who disrespected the honour of a Muslim woman. The Prophet SAW then announced that the treaty of Medina had been broken and that the Banu Qaynuqa no longer has a treaty with the Muslims. After which, the Prophet SAW and the Muslims immediately began marching upon the Banu Qaynuqa.
The Banu Qaynuqa lived in fortresses outside Medina and they planned to stay locked up in there. However, the Prophet SAW ordered the Muslims to surround the fortress and let the Banu Qaynuqa supplies run out and after 15 days they surrendered unconditionally. The Banu Qaynuqa were then taken prisoner and they asked Abdullah Ibn Ubayy ibn Salul, to help them out and the Prophet SAW exiled them after his insistence. But in doing so they left a lot of booty that the Muslims gained. After this, the Qaynuqa fled to Khaybar.
    The Invasion of Al Kudr
Two months after Badr, an unhappy Arabian tribe, called the Banu Salim, planned to attack Medina but were confronted by the Muslims and fled. They wanted to attack because the Muslims winning the Battle of Badr meant that they lost out on business.
    The Sariyya of Sawiq
Two months after Badr, Abu Sufyan gather 200 men and attempted to get revenge on the Muslims were winning at Badr. The Banu Nadir tribe helped Abu Sufyan get into Medina and he then attacked and killed two Muslim men. The Prophet SAW and the Muslims chased him but were unsuccessful in capturing him.
    The Sariyya of Al Qarada
This occurred in the 3AH and was the precursor for the Battle of Uhud. The Quraysh attempted to send their usual caravan to Syria for trade and took a secret route. The Prophet SAW got intelligence of this and sent Zayd Ibn Haritha RA who along with other 99 other Muslims successfully captured the caravan. They brought it back to Medina and the loot was shared. The capture of this caravan hit the Quraysh hard.
The Assassination of Ka’b Ibn Al-Ashraf
Ka’b Ibn Al Ashraf was a wealthy handsome Jew of Medina who had allied with the Quraysh and was always mocking the Prophet SAW and Islam. He wrote poems that insulted the Prophet SAW and even wrote erotic poems about Muslim women by name. This led to the Prophet SAW ordering his assassination and he was killed by Muhammad Ibn Maslamah RA. After Ka’bs death the Jewish tribes complained, but the Prophet SAW ignored them due to their past transgressions.
    ==========================================================
Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series:
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.
Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

With all due respect shaykh, but there needs to be a little correction about the Dönmeh.
When Sabbatai Zevi gained a growing audience among the jews fears spread that he might even be the dajjal. Long story short, the Ottomans captured him and put him to court for because the claimed to be the Messiah. The court ruled that either an archer would shoot an arrow at him, so that he may prove to be the messiah by showing that he is unharmed by the arrow, or he would convert to islam and thus let go of his claim of being the Messiah. He picked the Turban, ie converted to Islam. When this happened the Sutlan was pleased. Together with him his wife, Sarah a well known Jew, and most of his following converted as well. They became crypto-Jews, much like the Crypto-Muslims in Andalus. Outwardly they were Muslim but inwardly they practiced Judaism. The Ottomans captured him for apostasy when the news of this spread. He wasnt sentenced to dead but rather to exile in Albania for apostasy of Islam. Since then the Dönmeh are crypto-jews. They arent a sect of Islam with weird teaching but rather Munafiqun. This was only a small portion of the lecture but i wanted to add this.

*The thing with the criticism is that people try to compare the life of Prophet Muhammad to the life of Prophets like Jesus.*
They say things like: “Muhammad was killing this tribe, expelling that tribe, executing this tribe etc. . . but Jesus never did that, he loved everyone and took the persecution with love...”
But the Prophet Jesus’ status was pretty much like the Prophet Muhammad’s Makki phase the entire time. He was never leading a nation of people, there was no political power, and there were few followers.
Yes, the Prophet Jesus’ character was beautiful and everything but you cannot be like that if Allah intends that you are to govern over an entire nation of followers while other opposing armies of disbelievers are trying to tear you down.

If we grant their belief that Jesus is God/the Son (which we reject) then that means he is the God of the Old Testament and he ordered the genocide against the Amalekites amongst many others.

    Summary:
Banu QaynuQa’- had 2,000 people and were largest Jewish tribe. expelled a month after Badr in Shawaal. They were sad at loss of Quraysh, told Muhammad saw “don’t think of yourself highly after your win, you fought nobody’s, if only you fought actual men like us”. An Ansari lady wanted to buy gold from their shops, a yahood flirted with her and others exposed her Aurah, Muslim man saw and chopped off head of Yahood who did that, then Muslim was killed. Muhammad saw then broke treaty with them. Half a month the Muslims surrounded/laid siege to the tribe’s land/fortresses and water was cut off for them, Yahood then surrendered. Then they were taken up and tied like POW, Those Yahood reached out to their two friends from Jahillya, Ibn Sulul and Ubada Ibn A Samit (both Khazrajites). Ubada cut off ties with them and Ibn Sulul insisted the prophet saw to be generous to those Yahood (he held onto muhamma saw’s armour), Muhammad saw agreed and said those yahood have 3 days to pack up and leave. (Least harshest expulsion) (5:51-56 were revealed relating to this)

      Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:
A woman came to the Prophet (ﷺ) while we were with him.
She said: Messenger of Allah, my husband, Safwan ibn al-Mu'attal, beats me when I pray, and makes me break my fast when I keep a fast, and he does not offer the dawn prayer until the sun rises.
He asked Safwan, who was present, about what she had said. He replied: Messenger of Allah, as for her statement "he beats me when I pray", she recites two surahs (during prayer) and I have prohibited her (to do so).
He (the Prophet) said: If one surah is recited (during prayer), that is sufficient for the people.
(Safwan continued:) As regards her saying "he makes me break my fast," she dotes on fasting; I am a young man, I cannot restrain myself.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said on that day: A woman should not fast except with the permission of her husband.
(Safwan said:) As for her statement that I do not pray until the sun rises, we are a people belonging to a class, and that (our profession of supplying water) is already known about us. We do not awake until the sun rises. He said: When you awake, offer your prayer.

    IMPORTANT QUESTIONS:
This is the second time you have replaced the word of Quran in your lecture
1- Seerah of Prophet Muhammed 12 - Declaration of Prophethood (refer to the video below):
    (czcams.com/video/_4VYHZ1vYZc/video.html)
Time for the video on the link above 18:00 : you changed "Fasda’ bimaa tu’maru wa a’rid anil mushrikeen" to "Fasda’ bimaa tu’maru wa a’rid anil JAHILEEN"
Why did you changed the word of Quran from "MUSHRIKEEN" to "JAHILEEN" ??
2- This video... 57:15: you changed “hiz’bal-ahim humul ghalibun” to “hiz’bal-ahim humul MUFLIHUN”
Why did you changed the word of Quran from "GHALIBUN" to "MUFLIHUN" ??
I never had an answer from you. This is the second time it happened, so I am very concerned, it appears as the words are interchangeable in Quran. If not, then what is the reason you have replaced them.
Your response on the above will be appreciated.
    Jazakallah for all the lectures
