Trashed is a great tune and Born Again is a great Sabb album. It's taken a lot of flak over the years but deserves a revisionist reevaluation. Gillan is one of the all time great rock vocalists and Born Again is his last stand at being able to hit and sustain those Child In Time notes. Yeah, he sounded great on Perfect Strangers with Purple the following year but he gives his last "days of yore" performance on this tune and Born Again as a whole. Hey man, he still sounds great in 2017 but this shit spotlights Gillan at his banshee best.
Iommi said that they finally found the original masters of Born Again, once thought to be lost. Let's hope there is a future re-release with actual good production.
Very awesome and very underrated song! It's very hard to imagine but they never did this song Live. A real shame! I can't even find a Sabbath band that did this.
heard tony iommi says that they were doing a concert for this album when it was released, but they canceled the concert at the last moment because the sound on the stage was very poor and there were other differences within the group
I wish! I’d love to hear a live version of Trashed but when I asked on another site I was told Sabbath never did this song in concert! Terrible! If you or anyone find a live version let us know.
Correct they never played this song live probably too much of a struggle for Ian's voice every night because every other song on the album they played live which which amounted to six out of seven songs (not counting the two bass instrumentals before disturbing the priest and zero the hero although they did one of those too) but never Trashed. There is a video of that song from a show called Rock Palace 1984 and it looks like it is a live clip but it is just them lip syncing to the record so don't be fooled.

Think if they produced the sound quality a bit better it woulda been even better overall. But yes it was different twist for sabbath and it was freakin cool. Definitely a classic. I’ve got the original and the deluxe version of born again. Definitely underrated album. At the time. But so cool far as I’m concerned
For the tour yes but original Sabbath drummer Bill Ward recorded the album and since this is a promo video it is the album that is playing this song So Beth Bevin might be in the video but the drums you are hearing are Bill Ward the entire album is Bill Ward the entire tour is Bevt Bevan.
No wrong the studio recording which your listening to in that video is Bill Ward on drums the whole album is Bill Ward on drums so just because Bev might be in the video doesn't mean he's playing drums on the album or in that song thank you very much

This alcohol induced song is how I lived my teenage years in Fontana Ca. with alot of friends that did the same! Self destructive to say the least🤘 This was an anthem of the streets in the 80's! Ian and the rest of Sabbath was badass and is legendary! I love this. Music turned even darker from there. I've got nothing but props for this album. Every album back then only had 3 really good songs besides Van Halen. Then came SLAYER!🤘
great album. the video, as always happened with hard rock, is rubbish. those musician are and were icons, the part with them on the stage was good enough, why the tacky church thing?
Still listen to this album today!!!
I did today!
I'm listening right now @ 2:03am in
New Jersey... 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎤🔥🎤🔥

I absolutely love "Born Again". One of my favorite Sabbath albums ever.
@@billjannusch yes! And this is my favorite song from the album. I just wish they had played it live!
Iommi said that they finally found the original masters of Born Again, once thought to be lost. Let's hope there is a future re-release with actual good production.
Trashed is a killer song that black sabbath did. 😀👍🤘🎸
Para mim o melhor álbum do Black sabbath com ian gillan no vocal endiabrados disturbing the priest é um clássico infernal 🇧🇷👤👹☠🎤🎹🎸🥁🤘🔩🕯🔥
Really love some PURPLE Sabbath
DEEP SABBATH
Beyond superb. Love this line up. Love this album. 🤘🤘🤘
This is the Good stuff. Ian Gillian has great voice.
When Ian Gillan sold his voice to the devil , he never had the same voice again with Deep Purple the year after
Very awesome and very underrated song! It's very hard to imagine but they never did this song Live. A real shame! I can't even find a Sabbath band that did this.
That’s fucked up they didn’t play this song live on the 1983 BA Tour.
heard tony iommi says that they were doing a concert for this album when it was released, but they canceled the concert at the last moment because the sound on the stage was very poor and there were other differences within the group
I agree they should have played this live. It is one of Sabbath's 10 best songs.
ian gillan amazing vocals
Jamás en la historia del Rock/ Heavy Metal habrá otro Black Sabbath dónde pasaron Ozzy, Ronnie y Ian....... jamás lo volveremos a ver!!!
Love this song.
If the whole album could have gone with this type of Old School Style RnR it would have been better received. KILLER F'N album though ✌
I disagree, mainly due to Zero The Hero.
BS had so many finest moments that they keep surpassing each other endlessly.
I first heard this in the early 80's on metal compilation album.
There were three Sabbath songs on it, two with DIO and this one with Ian. Wicked..
Anyone have a link to an actual live version of this incredible Sabbath song?

@@zigmonger6646 yes! Same with a Black Sabbath story video part 2 done in 92. It said concert but it was just lip syncing.
Muchas gracias está fenomenal

Deep Electric Sabbath!!
whos from ELO?
@@ralphtom3431 Bev Bevan, the drummer.
One of my favorite Sab slabs.
This is a killer album.
Ian Gillan was a great hard rock singer. If you're a Gillan fan, check him out in Deep Purple doing Machine Head!
In Rock, Made in Japan, Concerto for Group and Orchestra
I want some tequiler
I am a big fan of the both of them, as a matter of fact I'm listening to black sabbath w ian Gillan!!
Greatness!!!
My all-time favourite Sabbath album. Tony iommi is black Sabbath, not john Osbourne.
Idiotic ending to your post and disrespectful to Ozzy, Geezer, and Bill.🖕🖕🖕(one for each)!! Oh Tony sends one too.🖕
Deep Sabbath
Never heard any gillan era sabbath. Very different. Great musicians. Not sabbath but could grow on you. Fastest thing by them I have heard.
Check out the title track from this album, "Born Again". Amazing ballad with some Child In Time-esque Gillan screams
3:44, WHO DOES THAT????? OMG!!!!!
Ian Gillian has the best witch laugh

Memories of U68. Born Again, great album.
Awesome vocals .
GILLAN OR DIO ONLY FOR SABBATH
Laughable.
brabham and toleman at the brands hatch bit?
very nice
83, back when my two favorite bands, spawned a demon.
Highway Star + Paranoid + dated early '80s production = THIS
I'll take it
.. Sem comentarios " Trashed " do album born again , musica òtima do black sabbath na voz de ian gillar

Ian's Sabbath drunk.
Better than Tony Martin.
Tony Martin was such a wuss. Turned Sabbath into Poodle Rock.
If this lp came out with blank cover an no lettering anywhere even on the vinyl , would of thought was another DP lp 👎

Zero the hero cover by cannibal corpse is better than the original
Dio was. So much a better fit ...
Iron maiden is the best! Who's still listening in 2019???
Nope. Britney Spears is much better than this. She's true rock music!
Sucks big time
No. You DOLT!!!
Fix the production....and maybe get a better singer.
How many original band members are in this Black Sabbath ?
Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi.✌
