Project Zomboid is an open-world isometric survival horror video game in development by British and Canadian independent developer The Indie Stone. You missed three key parts but this was a fun find.
Eating the rat in quarters will prompt the 'All of it' dialogue but taking a second quarter bite prompts them to say "Don't try to be smart, We have plenty more like you."
Second is if you walk away from the tutorial area you'll find that the entire area is gated in with barbed wire fence, the kind you see at all the military instillations.
It could of been black like the map edge, but you've been purposefully boxed in to the area.
Down at the bottom right if you can survive the hoard for long enough, you can find a previously locked door to a building has been opened, one with a embalming table in the middle and in the room behind it, two dozen body storage drawers.
Its seems that after they make you yell they release the hoard upon you themselves, like a sick joke. There's also a small boarded up shack to the upper left that I haven't figured out how to get into or if there's any significance.

Also If you go near the fence,you can hear actual military chatter/comms taking place

You can also eat a part of the dead mouse instead of eating it whole, when you do that he says something along the lines of "Don't try to be smart. There are plenty more like you."

There is another one too. If you eat only 1/4 of the dead mouse when they are telling you how to eat it says “All of it please. We don’t have time for this.” If you do it again and eat 1/4th of it again it says “No. The whole thing. don’t try to be smart. There’s plenty more like you.” What do they mean by there’s plenty more like you? Edit: I found another one. If you close the window after you open it it says “that was INCORRECT. Do NOT break with the cycle.” And then they explain how do open the window again. What cycle are they talking about?

They may be clones or something like that because the character is called Jane Doe Name commonly used to refer to unidentified corpses They may also be people who had their memories erased, probably from Rosewood Prison, which is located near the military base. But because the character is always the woman, it is only a male prison He speaks well, according to one of the investigation tapes. Normally, faint noises can be heard in the forest, campers or hunters, even families from nearby houses. It is even possible that this will provide an answer to the abandoned town

I actually got these dialogue queues the first time I played the tutorial or pz in general, completely changed my view on spiffos and had me interested in the lore behind it
