Couple's Dual Sport Adventure! | CRF250L vs CRF230L | Urban ADV

- In today's ADV mission, Alexis and I hop on our red rockets and head off the beaten path to enjoy our evening riding our new to us dual sport motorcycles. We start off riding some trails in the woods and end up in an undisclosed location where we have a blast riding our street legal dirt bikes through mud holes, climbing hills, and traversing some rough for us terrain.

Love you guy’s., great video. Just purchased a 2020 250l and rigged the gas tank with a small platform for a 23 pound Westie. He loves riding so much, it’s adorable and funny to see him enjoy the thrill of wind and space all around. Thanks for showing what the bike s capably of doing.

The CRF250L is a very nice bike. The 230 is too. Take care of them....they are great on camping trips
I have a 250..and a XR650L very fun.
I am loving them so far! I will definitely get a larger thumper someday but for now I am enjoying them a lot!

That new camera mount is great. I use similar in my videos and have found one issue is the camera is shooting low and up, so you end up looking silhouetted in the shot. I can see you didn't have that problem as your bike spends more time on it's back wheel 🤣🤣

Tempted to buy a CRF250L next time ones traded in at the dealership I work at, I'd love to use it for green lanes and get the wife (has a bike license) on it on the odd weekend :P what fun we would have.

Love the videos man. I used to have a 650L, loved that bike. Thinking about getting a 450X or maybe another 650L just to ride around my farm and maybe some trails. Want to get my kid into riding some. I’m 6’3, 240lbs. Idk if the 450 is big enough for me. All I’ve ever had was that 650L for a off road bike. I’ve had plenty of street bikes but now just want to stay off road.
450L has like 450r maintenance intervals

I have some Oxford brand dual sport boots. They're just as tall as motocross boots. The main difference is that they only have two buckles and then a big Velcro pad up above the ankle. I think I like actual motocross boots better really. The dual sport boots are no easier to shift with, they're just (theoretically) quicker to take on and off and their all black so they don't stand out as much.
Nice that seems like an easier design to use but I agree I have come to love the MX boot, really can't beat the strength, durability, and protection!
You probably wouldn't have this problem, but I have kinda fat legs for whatever reason and they don't really close all the way if I have my pants tucked in to them. They just barely do close when I put my pants over them. Something to keep in mind. I'm sure they're not all like that. I would trade you but mine are only a size 10 or 10.5. You probably wear a 12. Hahahaha.

Mirrors are double take and it should fit they use the RAM mount system.
You two make a good couple. At 220 , I'm probably too big for the 250.

I have a 44t I just installed. I haven’t used it yet I had a 42before with my 13 on the front it’s still hard for me to get up in a wheelie any pointers??

A little word from the wise, when you see a vehicle sitting in the woods, do not take parts off it!!! I know someone that ended up in the back of a police car trying to prove they didn't originally steal it! How do i know? It was me!!! Lol. Out four wheeling a jeep cj was upside down and several parts were missing so i took driveshafts n was in back of cop car soon after!

if you could buy a new dual sport for 7 grand or under, is the CFL250L the one to get? for the riding you do in your videos.
I would get something else, wr250r, used KTM, etc.

230L was only made from 2008-2009, The 250L came out in 2013

I am originally from Canton Ohio that is why i was asking and i seen ohio plates on the one bike .I really miss hitting the trails but now living in alabama really no where to ride unless you have your own land or want to pay to ride but nothing here like bear creek lol

Dual sport boots are not as stiff as motorcross boots. The bests boots are not cheep

I just found a 230l I’m gonna pick up for my wife. It’s a 2008 with 6500 miles he said he’d take $1800.
I've said this 1000 times and I'll keep saying it until I get another one or a newer model, I still miss my 1984 Honda XL350R

The 230L would be a perfect fit for you! She is about the same as you and is limited in her options lol, what category of motorcycle are you interested in?
Attention Deficit Ended up getting a Grom 🤙 It’s like they made it for me. Might look into something like the 230L down the road if I want to ride longer distances
