- Do you want to impress your neighbors with your Christmas aesthetic and craftiness? Well how about you build one (or mucho) giant 6ft light up Christmas ball! The design I use is scale able to any size ball you want, but I'll remind you that bigger is always better.

Your lucky to have a cool Lady !! Nice work !! 😎
Next video, show us how to store the super Christmas ball... :)
It won’t fit in our door. Probably hang in the garage 😅.
Can they be torn apart for storage
Thanks!
I really appreciate the super thanks!
I want this thing in my back yard all year long.
And you should have one
Amazing , surprising my nieces with this, this Christmas. Thanks for sharing 🔥🔥
Fantastic! (Plus, you can use it for your personal Times Square drop ball.)
The drill wire-twister. (I will never twist wire by hand the rest of my life.) Totally agree with the extra net of lights - just 'cuz it's America.
PR stunt for BMB: Make a couple hundred of these and sneaky decorate the General Sherman redwood tree. Christmas comes - surprise!
Next time, consider straightening the wire before assembling your hoops; it will make the assembly process much easier. You can put it under tension (a come-along works great), or using some rollers, fabricate a wire version of a tubing straightener with the rollers at the right offset for your wire (the offset will be too large with an actual tubing straightener)
This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen! It’s so beautiful. I’m sure that everyone who sees it wants it, I know do. I would love to make some for all my family and friends. You make it look so easy.
I am so sad at the number of subscribers you have. You are way too good to be hidden away!!
Thanks for the high praise I really appreciate it!! I really liked making the light ball! I’m still pretty new to CZcams but I’m sure I’ll keep gaining more subscribers as I put out more videos. Please recommend me to anyone you think might be interested!
Beautiful ! . Thanks !
Love the creativity!!!! Thanks
Sick project. Well done!
Fun video to watch. You're really becoming quite the showman engineer. Looking forward to your next project. BTW, your younger assistant also was outstanding( in a nonspeaking role).
😮❤looks amazing! Fantastic result! 🎉 I love your line “I decided to use one more because….it’s America!!!” Imagine if you lived in Texas! It’s have to be a 12 foot ball with 50 nets! 😂
Awesome!
That's awesome! Great job!
That was fun to watch. Will give this one a go ❤️
Omg this is so Beautiful❤❤ you cld probably keep it out all year long. I know i would❤ So Amazing❤❤
Love it
this is so dope!!
You are a very appealing show host.
Beautiful 😍
Thanks!!
😂🎉❤wow I love it awesome job beautiful for a front yard wow
Это, круто, моя мечта🎉
You think you cld play with a DIY outdoor huge Santa bag?❤❤
That's a good idea. it would definitely be possible
Lumpy tater tot, ha ha. Been there, done that. Thank you for sharing this - just beautiful!!
This is a super fun looking project but how do you dis-assemble it at the end of the season?
You do it the other way around, doh.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What is the footage of these items are needed? Could the lights be added inside and could it be covered with paper mache then painted like a globe or would it need to be a stronger outer structure?
Each ring is 18.84ft long wire. I would say paper mache wouldn’t be strong enough to withstand the weight of the sphere itself and break. You would be able to put the lights on inside if you leave a small opening you could climb in there and attach the lights, but I will say I had no issues with having the lights on the outside and it was much easier.
How much did this end up costing you to make in total?
This is spectacular!!!!
At this point I don't really remember anymore. was around $100 for the wire I believe.
You can also make a new years eve ball
That’s a pretty good idea
How long for a 6ft ring
18.84’
🤔 but where/how do you store it when not on display?!
Why store it? Now you have a giant hamster ball for the rest of the year!
Or an outdoor play pen for the toddlers in your life!!!!
Where do you store it? :)
That’s the kicker. Luckily I have a big enough back yard that I can keep it there
maybe just easier to make the support from wood and just use chicken wire around that
I could see doing a combo of wood and thicker gage wire as the frame
I would say do the wood and chicken wire in sections that could be separated for storage up in the rafters of the shop/garage...?
Great video but left out net size also
Beautiful but how do you store those? 🤣
Yeah that didn’t occur to me until after I built it
@@BearMountainBuilds Where is it now? Did you disassemble it?
@@thezzach since it’s Christmas it’s out in the front yard, but during the off season I have enough room to put it out of the way in the back yard out of sight
Where the HECK do you store this during the year?!?!
The trick is to never take it down then you don’t have to store it
