  • Welcome to AuSolo - a 4WD and Camping episode produced, shot, presented and edited by our very own Graham Cahill!
In this episode Graham takes his Isuzu D-MAX solo camping in Australia - the western side for once! He's uncovered one of the most amazing 4WD and camping hotspots in Western Australia - proper remote camping on the Murchison River.
If you love solo camping tips, or remote camping in Australia - you're going to love this episode!
    Location: Murchison House Station
    Where's that: Kalbarri, Western Australia
Graham couldn't have done this trip without his well set up canopy from MITS Alloy. Learn more at mitsalloy.com.au/
Graham chose to run Bridgestone Dueler ATs for this trip. They have superior puncture resistance, heaps of traction, and still work very well on road. Learn more at www.bridgestonetyres.com.au/d...

15:00 graham AuSolo reminds me of the real old days of 4WD Action, when we'd have Roothy and co doing the VHC, or the Cape or whatever, and then we'd get you and Shorty now and then in WA or the NT. It was a breath of fresh air, and now you are doing it again. I really wish you'd stick to it mate. There's only so much "my truck is better than yours", "i had to winch for ten hours" shit I can watch. It seems to me that this country, this kind of travelling, is where your spirit thrives.
More of this, please. Shauno and the rest can spend the rest of their lives in the Glasshouse Mountains, Coff's, the Cape, and the VHC. I've SEEN it. FFS, Roothy did it. I've done a lot of it.
Here is where you belong, and I'll watch you, and be inspired by where you go. You are wasted on the East coast.
Covid 19 has given us something back, it seems. Who would have thought?

Fully agree with this mate. I do believe 4wd Action had lost its way with all the tuff track stuff, Hopefully with the change to 4wd 24/7 it can return to those roots and give us more of the Touring style stuff. Give us some history of the land, the people and the places not just how to winch up a stupid hill you have no need to be trying to drive in the first place.

    • @mickg9563
      @mickg9563 Před 3 lety +18

@@edwinjoseph2163 Personally I'm a bit over him. So much of what he does now is like an infomercial. I get they need sponsors etc to do this but name dropping every 5 seconds get a bit bloody much. Leave Shauno to the tuff stuff and let Graham go on with AuSolo and I will end up skipping all episodes that have Shauno in them. I hope the 4WD 24/7 team take note of these comments and how much we love this sort of stuff.

    • @ivanolsen8596

I agree but I think there is a place for both types of shows, Shawno and companies
banter between them and their antics are entertaining, some of the winching
      episodes gets very tedious.
Shawnos enebriated cooking segments are both hilarious and educational
      and is fun to watch.
Given the choice I would go for Grahams wide open spaces any time.

I love the style and content of this episode. I like the idea of mixing some relaxing and scenic exploration episodes in with some hard hitting wheeling episodes. As a viewer in the USA, I love learning about Australian geography and history.

A+ episode. Love the variety of wheeling and touring, and the local history stories give the show a lot more depth. As a yank in Colorado, it’s great to hear these local stories! Great job, Graham.

Thanks Graham, good to see you doing a solo trip in the wild west!
I think a lot of people also enjoy the historic info and quirky story telling you bring to a 4WD adventure, not just guys nattering and yacking it up about the best line up a 4WD goat track, though that is also helpful!
That's where Jason from 'Trip in a Van' also draws people in and makes their family adventures inclusive, like the one to 'Dirk Hartog island'....good work
