When I found out I was older than him I fell to my knees in the middle of target
😅😭
Lmao least favorite thing about aging. So many younger people way better than us. I'm happy for them, but damn. Reality check. 😂
He's almost half my age.
Sounds a bit fruity
Yeah turning 21 this year wemby is yunger than me and every draft from now all of them are gonna be so much younger and talented
25 years ago, this exact same thing happened.....
The kid was named Dirk Nowitzki
But Dirk is from Germany 😂 so this is impossible
Crazy impressive how he’s the only teenager on the team, and can hang with the rest of them on both ends.
They’re old
That’s what he said in the video 🤦
He’s not in fact on the team
My prediction..... the kids actually pretty good, but his ceiling will be a bench in the NBA if he ever makes it
Combination of these current Team USA players not trying, being old, too many betas on the team
Doesn't take much to put a ball in a hole
Get ready for tanking teams to start playing Capture the Flagg
@@Dizcrete 😂
😭😭😭
He's everything LeBron wished junior should be😂😂😂
lebron is a billionaire, his family is doing fine lol
@@Ayititunes Yes, LeBron's a billionaire. Yes, he clearly wishes his son was actually good at basketball, like Cooper Flagg is.
@JMacSD no he actually about to buy team that's why they kissing his butt 😂 Boss
Bronny can’t carry Cooper’s jock.
Lebron wishes Bronny had 10% the skillset of flagg 😂
Lebron thought bubble - 💭 “ he’s almost as good as my son Bronny !”
Lol!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bronny who?
Took me TFFFF outtttt
thats just freakin hillarious
Kid more ready than all off Lakers 55th picks in the history of the franchise
I was looking for a comment 😂 like this
why would the projected #1 pick ever not be more ready than a 55th pick, just a year out from the draft?
@@josh_harrison you obviously do not understand english because that is not what he said
You’d hope so no?
Over bronny James??? You high that guy would go 1 if lebron was ten years younger
Cooper Flagg being drafted by the Spurs would be something savage!
Both of the wonderkids together! Both as good on defense AND offense!
That would be the most rigged shit in the history of sports...
@@willw007I smell a Pistons fan
He is not wrong tho... wemby and cooper defense would make any other team useless 😭@@exusiyay8176
@@exusiyay8176 He's right though. How gross that'd be form the NBA.... Just blatant lol
I was thinking the same thing! Spurs need some LEGIT point guards though. No disrespect to the man, but Chris Paul has seen his best days.
They've been talking about Cooper up here in Maine since before he even hit high school. Pretty insane to have a generational talent from this state, but he's got it all. Size, shooting, hops, handling, passing. Low post, mid post, spot up three or create his own. The most polished 17 year old I've seen in decades, much better long distance shooter than LBJ who at this point just relentlessly attacked the lane with his athleticism. Plus he played some time over in Spain, so he knows what it's like in those crazy intense situations. He's gonna be a special one...
ikr ive heard about him for years up here. it was really cool for him to finally get recognition outside of maine since lets be honest we really arent known for producing basketball stars up here lol. only other one i remember as of recently was duncan robinson from new castle, nh 10 mins away from me lol
Sounds like he should skip Duke and go straight to the NBA
@@sappyjohnson you're probably right, but Scheyer really was the one that got him the opportunity and exposure when he wasn't known much past the Northeast and some early YT clips. He probably feels he owes him at least a year for that alone, plus it gives him a chance to physically develop even more to prepare for the ultimate level.
@@robeshd6536 indeed, Northern New England has very few reps in any major sport, let alone stars. I remember hearing about him coming into high school, how he had lived up to the hype immediately and was dunking on full grown seniors his first year. I'm more impressed by his poise and flexibility. Kid doesn't get rattled and just takes what the game gives him...
It's been plenty of players like him through the years. This isn't nothing new. He looks very average as all the players you see today. Nothing more.
Rather we focus on players like him than Bronny.
That remark has a definite Caitlin Clark vibe to it!
No doubt he’s a generational player like CC. Not like Brawny Nepo
@@francisdashwood1760 and your remark definitely has a racial undertone to it. denying talent cause hes white gtfoh
Yet you're still talking about bronny on a video that has nothing to do with him
Cooper Flag could play in the NBA right now, right after his junior year in HS.
Lmfao we shall see it’s always the same news
@@CtFletcher-eg5zjnba used to allow players come to nba straight out of high school until 2005 or 2006 due to ncaa greed. The nba can literally let Flagg graduate from high school and pick him up if they wanted to.
Bahahahaha
No just no, no he can't. Stop the cap.
@@easylife6348 Does that violate the Equal Employment Opportunity Act?
It should be a given that one of the practice team members gets voted onto the game team. Makes them more motivated, and rewards their heart and talent.
Lucky kid. Imagine getting to play against all the stars you idolised growing up.
that was one of the biggest games of his life (so far) and he'll never forget it.
For everyone else it was just a warm up game for everyone else. So he had a lot more to play for.
The poise is what’s sooo impressive. Imagine being a high school junior scrimmaging vs your idols. Most would be fumbling the ball and shooting air balls lol. Or just standing in the corner hoping they don’t get involved lol
The poise is crazy. His biggest moment surrounded by the best in the world and doesn't flinch. I've never even heard of this dude other than 247
Lbj is one of his biggest fans and has been for a while. Hes probably how he made the select team.
Cooper flagg is the real deal ...
True that Flagg will be the first Maine native to be drafted in 40 years, but don't forget about Nik Caner-Medley in the 2000s who played four years at Maryland. Guy was a beast (we played him, and he dropped 40+ on us). He played on a number of NBA summer league teams but never made a roster. Ended up having a long successful career abroad.
just hoping he stays healthy. his potential is endless
Team USA is def not going all out in a tune up game for the Olympics (no one wants to twist an ankle before it even starts), but Cooper Flag is still super impressive. Is he entering the draft next year?
Cooper has obviously already enrolled at Duke since they have posted a summer scrimmage.
No matter how much natural talent he has, he understands the importance and the necessity to keep working at his game, and that is why he exudes this high level of confidence. The great Johnny Wooden coach of the UCLA dynasty, often responded to media questions as to how he got his teams to perform so confidently with a one line answer, "Confidence comes from being prepared." Sure, you have to be talented, but nothing takes the place of hard work and dedication.
As a Duke student it's awesome to see kids with heart joining us this year
Great to see a youngster put NBA players in their place. Must be humbling
Are you high, the kid is good but he's not that good. Saw Luka and Dirk play at his age and there is no comparison. Every year there is a number one ranked highschool player. Guess how many turn out to be busts. This is because they play against children, while the best young Europeans play against men in professional leagues. Those NBA guys were not even playing hard.
FYI Chris Webbers college senior class beat the 92 (Jordan Bird Magic Barkley ) dream team in a relaxed exhibition and then they played again and the vets put effort in and it wasn’t even close , these games are like allstar games 0 effort on the stars part
They should have selected Chet Holmgren to prepare to play against Victor.
Lol its steve kerr, he would use kd, kawhi, kd, and ad as centers
They've already faced off in the u19 championships
@@ColdHoops He's saying they should have selected Chet to be on the practice team (not the actual team) so they have someone that can give a similar look like Victor.
Or put another center in at least to get ready to meet bigger bodies
Wouldn't it just make wemby play harder against us
WOW. ONLY 17!!! HE is like one of those PHENOM! THOSE FREAKISH ATHLETES like LeBron like player. Already doing feats like they're ahead in development of their peers or kids their age. Like he's already in the pros for years.
not like LeBron stop it lol only Kareem Abdul Jabar was like that at 17 he is a beast tho if he was like LBJ the whole world would have known his name 4 years ago
@@tonyamartin1425a lot of people did. Lebron is 1 of 1 but I knew who flagg was at 14. He was already being talked about
If you didn't know.....Cooper Flagg is phenomenal! Great to see a kid from my home state of Maine representing! A small little sleepy town in Maine at that
He's NBA ready now. That's insane. 😳🏀
For a young kid I'm impressed with his assessment of Flagg's abilities as he stands ...right now. Incredibe skill sets. And deploys em all over the place at will, on demand. One man wrecking crew. . Rookie of the year. Probably final four team, as well. Hopefully not better. Lol.
Kids may be top 10 best players on planet in about 3 year or so. Maybe top 3.
He's got the whole package as far as nba ceiling talent. He'll mature. Get bigger, stronger...better.
He's got combination freak talents. Wish UK got him.
Did Cal even call the best player in the nation as a courtesy?
Where was ya on this kid, boy wonder?
Sorry. I digressed.
Duke got a great one.
Congrats. Now, give him the damn ball and get outta the kid's way.
He's the show.
Dammit. Missed out. Man. Didn't get Tatum. Cade.
Cal.

He better than bronny already 😂
@@anthonygesswein1830 he is possibly better than that entire draft class.
He was better than Bronny 3 years ago.
Bronny? 😂😂
No Bonny in the USA team 😮😅
And Cooper is from Maine!
@@timothyjohnson5062 so is Ace.
So what you're saying is Lobster gives him these skills. I'm here for it.

I came from the future, and Spurs didn't make the playoffs and got the 1st round pick again in the 2025 draft...
😮😮😮😮😮
One scrimmage where they barely tried to defend and suddenly cooper flagg is better than lebron😂
Hype, Hype, hype...
The overreaction is ridiculous. In a playoff game the kid would be a non-factor and probably get his butt laid out.
he is better than lebron, lebrom is lebroken and old as hell. he is gonna be competing in the special olympics next.
Hyping someone up is never ending well
but judging him and being petty by comparing him to playoff ready NBA players isnt fair. judging from now whether he will be great or not isnt fair.
I just say ol boy probably wouldn't flop like leflope himself. Oh he is 17 and probably can't flop like leflope does. He has some training to do I guess. Leflope will probably try to flop all over him soon tho so he doesn't hinder his son leflope.
That man been on the radar for a minute.
Great job
Here comes the hype machine.
It sure ain’t Bronny James! 😂
Listen...we're talking about practice? Practice. Not a game. We talking about practice.
Scrimmages... Not practice
@@Ryan-wx1bi so a game that counts for nothing, except practice.
Impressive!!!
Bro I really am getting old these new up and coming players younger than me now 😭😭😭😭
17? What the fuck are you talking about?
Damn I’m old because 17. What?
Get em with wemby so we can have ebony and ivory living together in perfect harmony
I’ve seen some high school basketball over the years, and it’s very rare to see players 6’9” and up with his mobility and vertical leap. Definitely doesn’t need another year in high school. Looks like he could have been on Duke’s roster last season.
Send home the ones that don't smile in their pictures 😂😂😂
Cooper Flagg, Bailey, Harper, VJ Edgecombe… but don’t forget Darren Harris, Patrick Ngongba… so many stars about to enter league. The new era of the nba is just a couple years away.
People forget that there been 17 year olds who got drafted in the nba.
Jerry West knew 17 yr old Kobe was the best player in the draft after that private workout. Legendary stuff
I'm as big a Cooper Flagg fan as there is, but he didn't dominate. He played very well in a scrimmage where the USA team was going at around 80%. That being said, I loved the way he played. He looked very comfortable on the court.
more like 40% tbh
Cooper Flagg the only player that wouldve been a number 1 draft pick since being a freshman in high school and every year after. '22, '23, '24, and '25
I love to see unknown prospects on stage and the Olympics has to be amazing for that! Let's see if he chokes!
Flagg lets the game come to him. doesn't force it. terrific poise. can't wait to see him in college.
Kawhi was smiling 😂
The NBA just signed a 11 year 76 billion dollar media right contract deal which means players contracts will be biggest than ever before.
Sure as hell NOT LEBRON'S SON 😂😂😂😂😂
stop it, get some help...USA was playing at 1/4 speed 😂😂😂
No, I played a lot of basketball in DC and Atlanta. I see the court vision that this young man has. I encourage you to keep your comment for 4 years so that you can admit that you were wrong.

6’9, good enough to make the nba before even finishing high school, American born and raised, high iq, high athleticism, versatile scorer from, good reading and passing. Chat? Is Cooper Flag the next Lebron James.
I’m not sure there is a perfect comp for Flagg’s game. Seems more like Kawhi than LeBron purely due to 2 way play, but the interior defense is much more like a power forward. He’s athletic definitely, but not on the level of an 18 year old LeBron. He’s a much better shooter than LeBron at that age, and defender overall. Hard to say. Kevin Garnett with a perimeter game?
More athletic Bird?
LeBron Bird
Let's hope his ego is not as large
Let's just hope that he doesn't abuse his privilege and go around beating up on minority players in much the same way that does Caitlin Clark. The fact that he's playing for Duke is a huge Red Flag (no pun intended). We all know that Duke (an Old South school) is a byword for ''privileged rich kids from the good side of the railroad tracks''. That, alone, is problematic, just as Caitlin Clark choosing to play for a school with very few minorities was an extreme Red Flag and the main reason why she should not have been chosen for the US Olympic team. Let's hope that he is the next Lebron James and becomes a bonafide Social Justice Warrior!
This is kid is going to make bank in NIL money for sure.
Team USA is about to go out there and get embarrassed
Is that what happened?
@@CtFletcher-eg5zj I mean during the Olympics 🤦♂️. They could barely handle a bunch of high schoolers and college kids
@@brandoncronan348 There was only a single name on that USA select team that hasn't played NBA basketball and it's Cooper Flagg lol. 10 of the players are actually pretty decent NBA players, two are end of the bench guys, two play overseas, although one of the guys who plays overseas also happens to hold the record for most points scored in a Euroleague game, so he's no slouch either. That USA select team would absolutely decimate any college team in the country and probably most professional basketball teams not in the NBA.
I sure hope so 😂
@@brandoncronan348 is that what’s going on we are clearly the best Olympic team

So the Europeans are ruling the league, then there's the next big thing for American basketball is going to be drafted next year?
Alright, who's writing the script? Own up 🧐
no more blacks outta highschool anymore. Not allowed. No more lights at night at basketball courts inner cities either.
@@NYUArchaeology
1. No one is "outta highschool" anymore, White, Black, etc. All NBA draftees need 1 year of play outside high school or be 19 years old to be drafted. And we've seen Black players get drafted 1 year out of high school with the number 1 pick recently. Anthony Edwards was drafted #1 as a freshman out of Georgia in 2020. The same thing will likely happen in 2026 when its Cam Boozer or AJ Dybantsa's turn to be drafted.
2. "Blacks"? 🧐
Ok, u paying attention. All of a sudden right? Feel like this is what the rule changes were meant to do
Gotta pay the college tax.
Lmfao there are four or five good European players in the league and they all got sent packing this year that’s one, two American players are ruling the euro league phuck are you talking about whose the leading scorer in euroleague history? How many Americans were on the euro cup championship team? Why do our kids dominate the fiba tournament we beat fiba teams by an average of 61 points this year and are 51-0 u17 and 16 boys and girls get real the years we lose we do not send our best or we can’t get enough chemistry in time.

I would love to see this kid go to college and get that education, its worth more than money. But I also hope that if he did that he would pull a Clark and rewrite the recordbook without a chip. Just to show people you don't recruit rings, you recruit players.
I heard buzz about him a few years back cause he's from my state. Maine doesn't have a lot of pros outside of hockey and football so I didn't really pay in mind. Last couple years I've seen he's not just going to be be good he's gonna be a problem.
Remember Kobe and Lebron and some others at 17 were insane too.
Sean Kemp was one of the first out of high school.
