one of my biggest gripes about frontiers was how anticlimactic the supreme fight was compared to the other bosses but they've managed to completely fix that
VERY IMPORTANT So for those of you having trouble with the cable on The End's head, you gotta attack the head then press the dodge button which will switch targets then quick cyloop it immediately
Spread the word about this tip everyone, this'll help. And this is coming from someone who beat The End before I even knew you had to press the dodge buttons.
@@SpectroliteDS2400Well, the reason why Fleetway happened is when Sonic Went actually insane from the emeralds power by a demon the corrupting must have similar effects of said demon when he went full power, thus the look on his face. (just a theory tho)

I didn’t think I needed a vocal version of “I’m With You”, but now that I have it, I wonder how I got this far from the game’s launch without it. Such a beautiful piece and makes the original theme (which I already loved) even better than before. Y’all can have “I’m Here - Revisited”. I would say I doubt modern Sonic will have Eggman as a villain after this He will most likely be anti hero where he considers sonic as a rival that helps him get stronger

Seeing Eggman and Stage standing on that hill *together* as the stars fall was everything for me. In the bad ending, Eggman quietly muttered "dear daughter" once Sage was out of earshot. Here, he says it directly to her face; There's no ambiguity that Eggman loves her, that Sage finally has the family she's always wanted. I'm just so happy for Eggman and Sage.
Awwwww ❤ Sage and Eggdad get a happy ending 😊 Also, I liked the lyrical version of I'm With You, although I actually prefer the instrumental version from the original final boss fight.

Yeah 06 would be but honestly that’s it and in Frontiers, Sonic was push even more so than either Dark Gaia or Solaris managed as neither of them ever knocked the super out of Sonic though sheer power like The End, even if it was only briefly. Also with this I honestly do think *The End* could be Sonic’s equivalent to a being from that of another Sega classic, *The Profound* from Phantasy Star. They even have a similar naming motif and *The End* is a Personification of Death, while *The Profound* is the Embodiment of Darkness, Negativity, Oblivion, Hatred, The list goes on that list though one of its goal is to bring true Order by increasing all to that of absolute nothingness, hmmm sounds familiar.
You wanna know the best things about this update in a list? 1. Tails, Knuckles and Amy are finally playable in a mainline game again after 17 years and the way they play feels amazing. 2. Ian Flynn delivers once again. 3. The new music is AWESOME!! 4. Sonic’s upgraded Super Forms look SICK!!! 4, 5 and 6. And best of all, not only are Tails, Amy and Knuckles playable after the update’s story is finished but they also have their own skills and SAGE LIVES!!!

While this is a million times better than the final battle in the base game, I find it a bit of a shame that The End's monologue is completely absent during the fight I really liked how it flaunted its presence throughout the entire fight in the original, I wish it at least said something between phases
Definitely agree. Despite how people feel about the OG “fight”, I think it nailed the atmosphere, with the dialogue, music, and setting (space). It really stood out among other final boss fights in the series because of it. If only there was a way to combine all of that with this gameplay…
I kinda still prefer the OG ending, I mean: -Defeat Supreme, but The End is freed -Sage and Sonic work together -Sage throws Sonic the same way he was thrown by Giganto -A beautiful shooting star in the void of space -Sage protects Sonic I honestly can't like this new boss, I just don't understand all the sh*t that's going on (that's why I chose to look for this video after defeating The End twice, so I can appreciate what it's happening... and I have questions...) I hoped they'd just improved Supreme and maybe add a little something between Supreme and The End, like Super Sonic flying through asteroids or something. I am really happy about the addition of the gang tho! (the trials and the towers were really fun too!!)

Same. At least when Sage controlled him, she didn't push him to the limit like The End. Can't help but wonder if Sonic was subconsciously putting him out of his misery along with saving the world from The End.
I cant help but think that every time Supreme roars he roars in agony, due to the ends overwhelming power. Also the way he goes from a robotic enemy in phase 1 to a bloodlusted animal like enemy in phase 2 is disturbing.
Fun Fact: This was what the final boss was intended to be at Frontiers' initial launch from what I heard. This is a lot more epic than what we got, and the music is just the icing on the birthday cake. I said birthday cake because it was my 17th birthday almost a week before the release of The Final Horizon update. September 22nd, to be exact. God, this game is beautiful.

this boss had me smiling the same way I did when I fought giganto for the first time Holy SHIT this was amazing. On another note, Morio kishimoto saw people saying the game was too easy and took that personally because Holy FUCK the difficulty spike was insane. even the map puzzles were difficult
Yeah I was one of those people when they upped it this much "I got humbled" but it was very much needed but definitely they need 2 make it a setting for players in all skill levels to enjoy the game. I know there's people who haven't even beaten the boss rush yet
10:08-10:28 I don't think this part gets enough hype/love, the way the music PERFECTLY blends with the action, the emotion in the sonic crew, and the way the sound of the shield blocking the shots mixes in with the scene is just so BADASS
I agree with you. Sage, Tails, Amy and Knuckles were very brave. I especially found it impressive that Knuckles was able to only use one hand to hold up the shield while everyone else, including Sage had to use both hands. Really goes to show you how strong Knuckles is physically and mentally. 😎

Remember Supreme and the End are two different bosses. We fight the regular supreme boss fight then fight the end in some arcade style. People were complaining that the final fight wasn’t epic and fun enough so this time we actually get an alternate version of the final fight
This just goes to show the dedication of the developers and creators of the game… they actually listen to criticism and promised the fans to improve the product…. They fulfilled that promise. This is something that many other triple A companies need to take note of.
Eggman and Sage got a happy ending. Honestly when I first played I felt bad for Eggman cause he finally had someone he cared about and sage did a self sacrifice originally to save the planet. It was just heartbreaking to me

The only thing I'm really sad about is that we lost The End's speech and we lost that awesome lingering shot of Sonic flying through the moon from super far away.

This sure as hell the kind of an ending we deserved in any game. The final boss battle was absolutely amazing, I can tell Sonic Team went all out on this one
10:45 Yooo i recognized that Sonic IDW reference And damn, this new update is super well made and somehow this is probably the 2nd time Sonic gets tired/or fainted after a fight, especially after Sonic Unleashed, its genuinely a very well made game
My god this is a huge improvement over the first experience against Supreme and The End this DLC is fully redeemed itself and Sonic literally going Super Saiyan like in power scale is so freaking awesome makes my mind literally blown away by the awesomeness
They went full on anime with this and im all here for it. I love how badass Sonic is in this game and this fight has now been elavated to the best boss for me. Also, the VA did well on those few attack shouts. That final attack was just chef's kiss
We can say that this game was a revolution, we had new abilities of characters, we were able to see a more human side of Eggman, a deeper look into the history of the emeralds, and for the FIRST TIME we saw Super Sonic reach his limits. If this game wasn't a revolution I don't know what was.

@@Morbius-Tensionsonic team brought their true power and I won't lie it took 20 tries to beat the true final boss in final horizon. It was so powerful and I knew nothing of how to beat it. The multi hit on quick event scares me more than akuma attacks and the final strike took my breath away! But what truly hype me up during the final fight was I'm here song remastered and heavy metal crazy I am very happy and I'm with you vocals I cry. Thank you sonic team
This was a BREATHTAKING final battle, but I can’t help but wish they called The End “Perfect Supreme”, going back to the naming traditions from past games. Besides that, my only complaint is that the boss rush in the final act was a bit forced, but otherwise the update was 100/10!!
Well, you aren't fighting Supreme, you're fighting The End using Supreme as a puppet. Also it doesn't seem particularly 'perfect', with how animalistic it acts.
Although I think criticisms of this update are valid, I overall had a lot of fun with this new update. I’m excited to see what we get in the next major modern sonic game now that we have for playable characters to work with (I’m hoping we can now see at least one or two characters alongside sonic, especially since it would be really weird for them to create three entirely new move sets just to discard them after one game.)

This update is most definitely not what you would call redemption. There is still quite a long list of problems with the game. In fact, this update highlights a lot of them.
Dang, this new update made it feel like the original ending truly was a bad ending because Sage died. Now Sage lives! THIS is what I call a GREAT ENDING!
This... this is beautiful! Sage returning home with Eggman, the battle against the supreme and the end. EVERYTHING IN THIS FINAL BATTLE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!
I love this. Only gripe is that I prefer Sage's sacrifice in the original. Don't get me wrong It's adorable seeing her and her dad here, but I got more emotional over the sacrifice. But other than that (and my preference for final fights in space ) good god is this amazing.

Super Sonic 2 taking a page from Super Vegito's book the way he performed that Y+B takedown, I FREAKING LOVE IT. Also, the way he turns back into Super after losing the struggle with the energy ball? Easily the best moment of the fight for me.

@@dariuswale7166 Me too, Frontiers is my favorite due it's open world and combat system. It was easy until the Final Horizon but it's gameplay is unlike anything we've seen before in previous Sonic games.
Genuinely blown away by how much love and effort they have put into this game. It was a good game, but a not a great one on release, and I'm so glad the team put their egos aside and accepted that as the situation as well. They have clearly worked their asses off to bring it from a good game to a really great one, and all of those updates were free on top of it. I don't know what we did to deserve this game or the team behind it, but they have given us a truly special game.
I was not expecting this good of a boss battle from where the original one was. The last scene is quite heartwarming with both sage and eggman with the meteor shower
I do wonder how Eggman will change as a villain, with a daughter at his side. I mean, we already had a father-son relationship in a villain with Bowser and Bowser Jr. but... for Eggman and Sage the father-daughter seems sweeter here. One thing is certain thought: after this game, things are never going to be the same for the Sonic franchise.
We do know Sage is still loyal to Eggman's bids for world domination. So even though Eggman and Sage love each other as a family, they'll definitely still both continue to be villains. I'm really looking forward to how that dynamic plays out in the next game.
Frontiers was my favorite Sonic game when it was released due to it's gameplay. Sure, it was easy, but the open world and combat system was unlike anything we've seen before in previous entries.
I think the original ending was just a beta for this. Definitely more climactic than prior. This freaking ending had me in tears with how epic it is, and Sage being alive was just a cherry on top.
Super Sonic Cyber (that's what the game files supposedly call it, anyway) quite literally popped Supreme like it was some generic badnik before plowing straight through The End. It was so powerful, it didn't just destroy Supreme, _IT LITERALLY ERASED IT FROM EXISTENCE ALTOGETHER._ Shame Super Sonic impliedly lost both forms afterwards because of Cyber Corruption leaving him like Master King Koco said it would if pushed too far...
You know, I remembered something important: Cyberspace was created with the help of Chaos Emeralds, and Tails says it goes to sleep without emeralds. This is to say that the cyber energy must be part of the Chaos energy, and Super Sonic can learn to reproduce it himself, but due to the immense harm from it, he will not use it often.

Definitely agree. Despite how people feel about the OG “fight”, I think it nailed the atmosphere, with the dialogue, music, and setting (space). It really stood out among other final boss fights in the series because of it. If only there was a way to combine all of that with this gameplay…
I kinda still prefer the OG ending, I mean:
-Defeat Supreme, but The End is freed
-Sage and Sonic work together
-Sage throws Sonic the same way he was thrown by Giganto
-A beautiful shooting star in the void of space
-Sage protects Sonic

Fun Fact: This was what the final boss was intended to be at Frontiers' initial launch from what I heard. This is a lot more epic than what we got, and the music is just the icing on the birthday cake. I said birthday cake because it was my 17th birthday almost a week before the release of The Final Horizon update. September 22nd, to be exact.

Yeah I was one of those people when they upped it this much "I got humbled" but it was very much needed but definitely they need 2 make it a setting for players in all skill levels to enjoy the game. I know there's people who haven't even beaten the boss rush yet

I agree with you. Sage, Tails, Amy and Knuckles were very brave. I especially found it impressive that Knuckles was able to only use one hand to hold up the shield while everyone else, including Sage had to use both hands. Really goes to show you how strong Knuckles is physically and mentally. 😎

This was a BREATHTAKING final battle, but I can’t help but wish they called The End “Perfect Supreme”, going back to the naming traditions from past games. Besides that, my only complaint is that the boss rush in the final act was a bit forced, but otherwise the update was 100/10!!

I’m excited to see what we get in the next major modern sonic game now that we have for playable characters to work with (I’m hoping we can now see at least one or two characters alongside sonic, especially since it would be really weird for them to create three entirely new move sets just to discard them after one game.)

I love this. Only gripe is that I prefer Sage's sacrifice in the original. Don't get me wrong It's adorable seeing her and her dad here, but I got more emotional over the sacrifice. But other than that (and my preference for final fights in space ) good god is this amazing.
Well the original ending has her alive in a post credit scene anyway so it feels like a pointless sacrifice. This ending is much sweeter imo

Sage’s sacrifice pre-DLC was VERY anticlimactic and was ruined even more in the post-credits, i prefer this ending way more

Genuinely blown away by how much love and effort they have put into this game. It was a good game, but a not a great one on release, and I'm so glad the team put their egos aside and accepted that as the situation as well. They have clearly worked their asses off to bring it from a good game to a really great one, and all of those updates were free on top of it. I don't know what we did to deserve this game or the team behind it, but they have given us a truly special game.

I do wonder how Eggman will change as a villain, with a daughter at his side. I mean, we already had a father-son relationship in a villain with Bowser and Bowser Jr. but... for Eggman and Sage the father-daughter seems sweeter here.
One thing is certain thought: after this game, things are never going to be the same for the Sonic franchise.

I'm pretty sure Sonic Frontiers has become a lot of people's new favorite sonic game. This update only solidified that.
I think the original ending was just a beta for this. Definitely more climactic than prior. This freaking ending had me in tears with how epic it is, and Sage being alive was just a cherry on top.
Super Sonic Cyber (that's what the game files supposedly call it, anyway) quite literally popped Supreme like it was some generic badnik before plowing straight through The End. It was so powerful, it didn't just destroy Supreme, _IT LITERALLY ERASED IT FROM EXISTENCE ALTOGETHER._ Shame Super Sonic impliedly lost both forms afterwards because of Cyber Corruption leaving him like Master King Koco said it would if pushed too far...
No more Super Sonic 2? That's too bad.
You know, I remembered something important: Cyberspace was created with the help of Chaos Emeralds, and Tails says it goes to sleep without emeralds. This is to say that the cyber energy must be part of the Chaos energy, and Super Sonic can learn to reproduce it himself, but due to the immense harm from it, he will not use it often.
