Houttuynia cordata is sold in garden centers as a decorative ground cover, here in the West. Usually called chameleon plant or rainbow plant. I have some growing on my property and use it seasonally. It spreads quite quickly so I always have some every season. Thank you for so many different ways to prepare it. I am very happy to learn more. ❤

Usually called chameleon plant or rainbow plant. I have some growing on my property and use it seasonally. Think before you plant though, since it can spread easily.
Putting Houttuynia cordata in eggs is the most common way to eat it. Making it into a sauce is a great choice.
