Between 1989 and 1990, Executive Display Models (London) sold all my ¨British¨ planes. I think that the big Halifax, Blenheim (two) and several Spitfires that I built in 1/24 should be in some museum or collection in the UK.
I really appreciate your message. Thanks a lot!

As a former corporate model maker, I am so upset with the damage. I assume this was due to mis-handling. The time and attention to detail you put into these models warrants extreme diligence by those receiving them. When I ran the Atari engineering modelshop, a salesman plopped down his briefcase after CES, opened it, and took out a bashed around $42k model of the Atari 1200. I locked the door, and called my VP. Thirty minutes later, that salesman was out of a job. Your work is so exemplary, it deserves better.

Thank you, Kevin for the comment. I understand your feeling. Many of my y aircraft models are exhibited in three different museums in Argentina, but they were never given real importance, except when I just built them in the 80s. The museums barely paid for them and several were stolen. It was the main reason I left my country.

@@rojasbazan Your models should be in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. I would think (& hope) that your models would receive the proper care & competency that they must have at the hands of Smithsonian Museum curators. Perhaps also, the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio would be good a place for your models, which deserve the absolute best in every way. But ultimately, it is your outstanding talent that is the most valuable.

@@shadovanish7435 Thank you for the comment, sir. My work was highly recognized among collectors and curators of the best aviation museums during the 1980s and early 1990s. But in 1993 I needed a green card to work in this country, so I started working for Fine Art Models in Michigan building original models that were copied by a team of Eastern European craftsmen in limited editions. The company kept my name under very little promotion because they usually advertised their own name as the company that built the models. I worked for FAM for 14 years building eleven 1:15 scale models including the huge B-17, B-25. F4U Corsair, Bf109, P-51 and many more.
The owner of FAM also bought six of the models I built between 1990 and 1993 from the widow of one of my best customers. When FAM closed in 2007, the man sold the entire collection of my models to a millionaire living in Malaysia. In this way, this unique collection was removed from this country, preventing it from becoming the heritage of the Smithsonian or the Air Force museum.
The following link (needs to be fixed but can be seen fine) shows some recognition letters; one is from the former curator of the Air Force Museum: www.rojasbazan.com/press/international-press/index.html

Saludos cordiales.

    • @rojasbazan
      @rojasbazan  Před 4 lety

Thank you, sir. When a client asks me to detail the engine, I have to build the engine completely in scale, that is, the engine itself is another model within the model. I offer the possibility of providing the model with an electrical circuit for the lights and propellers. Many of my models have electric motors inside the engine. That can be seen through several of my videos: F4U Corsair, P-51, Bf109, Fw190, Junkers G 24, P-38, B-25, this Stuka (Part 3) and the little Stearman PT-17 in 1:24 scale. The C-130 Hercules in this video also had four electric motors that powered the propellers and several lights.

Superb models put at risk by ‘museums’ and governments who have no appreciation or respect for the achievements of model makers and historians or their jobs. In Australia 2020 we have a cultureless conservative NSW stategovernment which will bulldoze history and people out of the way of a quick dollar and discard and destroy its own history and assets to proclaim “saving money”! These sickening scumbags are ruining the whole planet.

    • @rojasbazan

I agree, Stephen. Yes, many museums around the world are losing their way. Fortunately there are still people who are trying to save history in one way or another; in Australia a group of good people has splendidly restored a B-24. That's great.
