Yessirskies. Unless you're doing a 3K miles oil change, and changing filter every 6k

I do on my personal vehicle. My car has 200,000 miles on it and still running good. When I worked at a dealership changing oil, we did a filter every time.

Hello sir I have a question. I think I made a mistake by checking only in the dashboard telling it is 20% more oil but when I check it in the hood I can't almost see the oil, just only a bit. I am worried about repairing the engine just forgetting to change the oil engine. I used synthetic it says good for 10k miles. But I think I have done for 8-9k miles and now I feel a little change of the sound of my engine. Is it okay that I am a bit late for change oil? Is my engine sound will come back to normal once I change it again?

You should change your oil every 3,000-5,000 miles no matter what the oil says. IF you can't see any oil on the dipstick or it is below the full line, then you NEED to add more. The friend that owns this car actually ran her car low on oil and it locked up the engine. They got a replacement engine and she is still driving the car.

Its very important to take your advice About running the car for 30 seconds. It is bad to run the car and immediately drive it, as the oil is not coating the cylinders at that time

It's not that big of deal as long as you don't step on it too much. I like to keep below 2500 RPM until my engine is warmed up.

    brand of oil matter?

No It doesn't. On my personal car, I use Schaeffer's oil. It is expensive, bet in my opinion, it is worth it. If you want a cheaper oil, I would use Mobil 1 or Valvoline.

When I did it, it was very sensitive. I had to try 2-3 times. I would make sure you are doing it correctly and try it again.
