this man answered every question I had within these videos, I have a 2010 and was thinking about doing this for the prices that these parts are shooting for......i think I'm going to stick with my current body style, I would have loved to have the extra boost in aerodynamics but an R6 is an R6
For those of u that don't wana switch the passenger seat lock out. Just take the pins out of the fourth gen lock so u can use the ignition key to open it without a problem.
I have a 09 R6 and been looking for this conversion video. You did an amazing job explaining everything. It would help a great deal if you can add which parts are needed for the conversion, how much it cost and where to get them. Thank you bro.
honestly if you watch the videos carefully and in order what you see me put on the bike is exactly all you need. the top 4 must haves are 2017 + Tank, fuel pump, fuel pump plug, 3rd Gen pump for parts, rear subframe, and front stay. I found mine locally for the most part. and the rest on the Yamaha R6 owners group. when buying through Paypal only buy paying as goods and services or you will get scammed. last the cost of my parts will be unveiled at the end so in 2 more videos.
@@immortalengines1605 Thank you for the parts list I have been looking at Ebay for the parts but would you recommend to get just oem parts and not aftermarket? 👍
@@immortalengines1605 i was shocked too that it went very went. as if everything laid out for you to fit everything in. I've finished the build. it was the pillion lock and front headlight volt regulator that really help me, idk. best build serious ever.
@@revph7632 Nice the headlights took me weeks of reading the wiring diagram and stressing because you can only connect it incorrectly once then it will get fried so it had to work. send me some photos of your build at immmortalengines91@gmail.com -Jonathan
Yeah, it looks great. Can't wait you to finish it and calculate how much actually you pay for all these stuff. I wonder dors it worth it? Especially with that expensive tank swap. Thx again for sharing and good luck!
I started buying parts at a reasonable price since September of last year and not until 2 weeks ago I had all the parts I needed to begin the build. I didn't want start then stop the build due to parts not being there. What all that time allowed me to do is to look locally for parts and online for the best deals. all in I would say it's worth it. the looks are head turning and if you sell your old parts you can get about 50% back.
I got a DBholders subframe and mine is a 2006, the holes for the subframe are different sizes and from looking at the oem diagrams theres just a washer and a bolt that goes in there for the 2017 one. did they change bolt sizes or does the washer fill the wider hole or how does it mount? Because as it is right now i would need to get something to fill up that bigger hole unless it goes into the subframe and the sides of the bolt holds it in.
Guess I’m going to have a 2 1/2 gen lol. Not because I don’t hav the money but because that tail Frame trimming then the fuel pump yea to much work for me. That’s just me though
I'm not gonna say it's impossible but it would be very hard, it is also designed and wired for the new ECU. it would prob have lights come on like no abs etc..
Guys for the pig tail connector kit email me at immortalengines91@gmail.com

I would kept the front end like how you have it now and wouldn’t of mess with the tank and rear end section.
Did you just randomly became a locksmith in this video 😂
That's my biggest breakthrough on the tail section of the bike i'm glad someone appreciate it
