I have tried walmart bifolds, maxpedition micro, trayvax, ridge, made my own minimalist wallet...lots of wallets, over the years. The surfshorts fits my needs and is my favorite, by far. I've had it for maybe a year, so I don't know how well it will hold up, long term, but it's 10 bucks, so I can replace it if/when needed.
Hi Eric. That's a pretty decent list of wallets there. I think you've perfectly proven a point that it's not always about the price tag attached to an item. A $10 wallet is worth 20 x $100 wallet if it works for you. That's the beauty of EDC for me. It's these little gems hidden away. I hope you're well my friend and had a great weekend
I had a marsupial for almost 4 years up until last week. The zipper finally wore out to the point where I could no longer fix it, so I made a warranty claim with chums. They no longer make the marsupial, so I asked them to upgrade me to the surfshort. All they asked was for a photo of the damage to the old one and my address, and I had the new one in 5 days.

Teddy, sorry I didn't get back to you. I checked your message and went to test it out 😊 it definitely fits better with the Chums wallet. It fits in the ALPAKA, however the Chums wallet makes it really convenient

Seems like it has more options for packing things away, but lacks the RFID blocking.

I’ve had a Chums for years. Just recently upgraded to the Surfshort from the Marsupial. That color is butt ugly though 😂. I went with green and blue.
