His words apply to any career in life. If you truly truly enjoy the work that you do, and start doing it for fun and as a 'hobby' after work or whatever, you will quickly become a master at your craft.
I honestly never thought of it like that
Ring of power and witcher blood origins writers
" Write that down write that down!"
For real 😂
his movies do seem like that, like he makes movies that he wishes existed
Bad not scary horror movies lol
@@Maynard-il1yj Being eaten by a flying alien is not scary? Having your body taken over by someone else isn't scary?
My easiest tip is this: Just write. There's nothing that will slow you down more than thinking you have to do all of these different things before you get started.
You don't have to base your works off of anyone else's and you surely don't have to conform to what society wants to see.
If what you're writing teaches a lesson, people will read it. Straight up.
Just write after you know how it works.
He is a fantastic director And Writer. This Helps me in so many ways... TV sucks my brain out anyway
I feel you. But there’s some irony to writing that comment on a CZcams short. The real soul sucker out there. 😂
You’re not alone there! My main problem when it comes to writing however is, I will get ideas for the beginning & often know the ending, but the middle is blank for me. (This is why this guy is such an inspiration for me, just hearing his story.)
That’s honestly how I began many years ago. Great advice!
As an aspiring writer, this is amazing to hear 💙
LOVE this
Love this
I swear Tarantino said that
Exactly what I thought
He probably did…??
@@KABOBkabob never said it was, I just thought it was a bit ironic to see two directors with the same mentality and mindset toward filming / directing
He did
He did.
Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.
That's how I'm thinking it through.
Sadly I reached a major writer's block today, I'm very pissed off. Luckily I got friends to help me brainstorm this scene I'm working on 😅
Where can I find the full interview?
And that's how he wrote Balf Haked
You mean Half Baked??? Did you just type in Dyslexic?
@@Kal-El207 I was joking that when he put his heart and soul into it he'd still accidentally rip off Chapelle
@@k20nutz he’s talking about writing his hugely successful horror films. What does that have to do with Chapelle?
He alternates between ripping off Dave and doing racist, seemingly parody of society style movies
What every you done it worked I don't know how miny times I have seen get out I love that move us was also very good
good advice
Be an working actor for a decade, have a hit TV show, then you can write what you want.
Everyone else, you gotta pay your dues.
Because you know you would have the right people to read it when it was done.
kinda weird im feeling this as well.
What did he write??
Jordan Peterson said something about writing being no different from thinking
This is the first time I've seen him serious. I was waiting for it but it never came.
Waiting for what?
@@Hellserch a joke
That movie is evidence that you really only need a solid beginning and middle. The rest can make no sense or be completely ridiculous and still get on the radar.
You obviously has enough idea what you’re talking about
Tarantino sits and pretends he didn't teach this.
Best way to improve as a writer is dont take lessons from hack writers.
You need to read feature length screenplays.
Not small time amateurs who write shorts.
You also need to watch the movie first before reading the screenplay to get a better understanding.

It’s so bizarre how people forget racist thoughts and comments by anyone not white so easily.
I am not sure what point you are making here?
@@Hellserch Jordan Peele said he’d never cast a white in a lead role
Twilight zone. Syfy
It’s an adage as old as time

I love his comedy, but I gotta be honest, his movies suck, I mean, they are average, they supposed to have some kind of deep meaning about racisms but he doesn't reach it, won an Oscar by political correctness
I strongly disagree, I mean he plays very well with the expectations of the audience and also makes brilliantly crafted tension scenes. I don't think there are plenty of movies that make you live racism better than Get Out tbh, maybe his taste for symbolic meaning can be a bit too obvious at times but IMO it's far from being bad. Although I do agree it's sometimes boring when a film is being rewarded only bc of his political message (Judas and the black messiah for example)
@@matteonatale5671 what's there deeply racist about get out other than they do it with black people, u could make the EXACT, same movie but with white people, and it would work exactly the same, that's how u can see that "racist meaning" is not there, u can like the movie, but u can't say there's something there that isn't lol
I don't think you could bc you wouldn't have that ambiguous ambiance that makes you feel uncomfortable with looks and lines like "I would have voted for Obama again if I could" for example + considering whites are a majority in America, it wouldn't have him as isolated as he is when he goes to the house. Also all the movie is printed with African-American history events, slavery with the use of the bodies of black people as well as metaphor of white rich people entering black cars (same idea but it's a strong one), the fact that he frees himself with cotton, or just the Jesse Owen reference. Just at the end, imagine being Chris finally getting out of the house and there's police sirens, even though he had no choice but killing, it isn't the same when you're black knowing that police is not always as friendly. So yeah, there's reddit if you want to read more, but I don't think it would work the same if the main characters was white.
Of course you are entitled to an but keep it to yourself. Political correctness? That’s a bit of a sleepy comment.
Wow, deeply closeted hater, hmm 😌
